Ballooga

(Official US Bradygames Guide) Ballooga is a puffer fish found swimming through the skies. Whenever you get too close to it, it puffs itself up and extends its spines. If the spines catch you, you lose 5 seconds off the timer. Wait until the Ballooga retracts its spines before you use any attacks that require you to touch it.

 

Beez

(Official US Bradygames Guide) Beez are found in groups of five, and usually only in missions where you control Helen or Will. You can defeat them by throwing Blue Chips at them, or you can wait until they gather into a glowing group and get them all with one shot. You have to be quick though, though, because the glow means that they're about to attack!

 

Beez Pod

(Official US Bradygames Guide) These large, purple pods aren't exactly enemies, but with the way they pump out Beez, they certainly don't help you! If you see a Beez Pod next to some Beez, attack the Beez Pod first to keep more Beez from appearing.

 

Deworm

(Official US Bradygames Guide) This hypnotic caterpillar will knock five seconds off your clock if it hits you, but that's not its only attack. It can also draw a circular hole in space that seals you in an alternate dimension if you fall into it. If you get caught in one of these holes look for another one in the alternate dimension and go through it to escape.

 

Eelon

(Official US Bradygames Guide) These slithery eels try to shock you with an electric charge, but they can't maintain that charge for more than a few seconds at a time. When they're recharging, they're safe to touch – or Touch-dash or Touch-loop! You can also defeat them by throwing Blue Chips at their heads, whether or not they're electrically charged.

 

Goodle

(Official US Bradygames Guide) The Goodle is one of the first Nightmaren types you meet. You encounter Goodles in the Chase Mission of every dream world that Helen and Will enter. In each chase mission, you must pursue three bird-riding Goodles around three courses, defeating each Goodle to get a key that destroys the NiGHTS Captures on the courses. Goodles do not attack, but they're fast enough to give NiGHTS a run for his money!

 

Mothpil

(Official US Bradygames Guide) This moth-like Nightmaren fires slow moving rings of red energy at you. You can dodge the energy ring by flying above or below them, or by flying straight through them, which puts you in perfect position to KO the Mothpil with a Drill Dash or Touch-dash.

 

Murtle

(Official US Bradygames Guide) Murtle relies on stealth and cunning to attack its targets. It is always disguised as something non-threatening: a Blue Chip, a Treasure Chest, or even NiGHTS himself! Murtle's disguise isn't perfect, though – it's always a little bit brighter than the real thing. Approach disguised Murtles carefully to get them to reveal their true form, which is the only time you can defeat them.

 

Scarapion

(Official US Bradygames Guide) Scarapions gather everything within reach of their claws into a ball of sand. If that includes you, use a Drill Dash (or any other type type of Dash maneuver) to break free. If you don't escape in time, the Scarapion will hit you and knock five seconds off the timer.

 

Seapo

(Official US Bradygames Guide) Seapo are seahorse-like Nightmaren that hover in the air and underwater, shooting bubbles and iron balls at you. The bubbles are harmless. The iron balls knock five seconds off your timer when they hit you. Seapos have no defence against touch attacks, such as the Touch-dash or Touch-loop.

 

Shleep

(Official US Bradygames Guide) Shleep explosively shed their woolly coats as soon as they feel threatened. If a clump of wool latches onto you, it slows you down until you remove it. A Drill Dash or Paraloop knocks off the wool, and these techniques also knock out a Shleep.

    here is a list of names for all the nightmarens and a link with their picture. I havent had the game for awhile now so my descriptions are largely second hand and may not be accuarate(site the source at the bottom)
    Baloogas are puffer fish-like Nightmaren that appear only in Aqua Garden.

    Beezes are bee-like Nightmaren that appear in Delight City and Memory Forest. They are spawned by Beez Pods.
    Beez pods are purple and yellow beehives that  continuously spawn Beezes
    Deworms are caterpillar-like Nightmarens who open holes in space which the come in and out of existance from. they appear in memory forest.
    Eelons are purple, eel-like Nightmarens that discharge electricity. They appear in Delight City and Memory Forest 
    Goodles are the grinning imp-like Nightmarens that usually ride colorful birds. Goodles also carry keys to NiGHTS' cage.
    Gullwings are seagull-like Nightmarens who appear in Aqua Garden.
    Mothpils are moth-like Nightmarens in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, that only appear in Memory Forest and Delight City. they shoot rings at nights if he gets too close
    Murtles are Turtle like Nightmarens that have mirrors on their backs and disguise them selves as things like treasure chests. they appear in the Crystal Castle
    Scaropions are scorpion-like Nightmarens that appear only in Lost Park.
    Seapos are seahorse-like Nightmaren that appear in Pure Valley and Aqua Garden. they will shoot bubbles at Nights
    Shleep are Nightmarens who have the heads of sheep or rams and yellow cottonlike wool. They don't do much besides float around and inflate to get in NiGHTS' way, they are the only nightmaren to appear in both games

    Actually, analyzing the names a tad more, and with a bit of context, it seems like they ought to be:
    seahorse + pony = Seapo
    bee + bijou = Beejou
    (Beejou Pod)
    scare + scorpion = Scarpion
    (Gullwing is fine. I suspect myuu is the onomatopoeia seagulls make when they cry, + wing)
    eel + ion = Eelon
    sheep + sleep = Shleep (but we already know that)
    moth + peal (of a bell) = Mothpeal
    balloon + beluga (whale) = Balooga
    mirror + turtle = Mirtle
    dimension (or disappear) + worm = Diworm (I have no explanation for the vowel swap from e to i. Sorry)
