Random question: Just what are those six notes? Does anyone know that progression?
B-C#-E, B-C#-(drop octave)-E.
Okay...dang, the music, the MUSIC! Good music is normally what helps me get interested in a game. (Part of the reason why I wanted to get Kingdom Hearts.) Jeez louise, where to start?
Boss Music - The Mantle. Jackle's theme song has a tendency to get stuck in my head and I just LOVE the thing to pieces. The original and the Acid Love remix. Jazzy, upbeat, has that air of mystery and slight insanity to it...and the creepy vocals durring it, too, I just loved that.
NiGHTS and Reala and its additional remix "Theme of a Tragic Revenge" also gets stuck in my head every now and then, mainly when I'm trying to think out fight scenes for my stories.
D'Force Master...my gosh, also something that I just love listening to. Perfect sense of creepy and anxiousness.
Stage Music - Gloom of the N.H.C. was one of my favorites once I heard it. I will listen to this thing for hours on end. This song just gives me that vibe of flying easilly. I can imagine myself flying to this thing, especially with the stage that it describes.
Growing Wings was another one of my favorites after its...creepy beginning. That's the only part that I didn't like about that song, the part in which you're on the ground as either Claris or Elliot (I watched footage of the game - never played it myself) before you start flying.
Other music - Sowing Seeds. When I managed to find the opening to Claris's story on YouTube, I was all 'I NEED TO FIND THAT SONG SHE SINGS'. I loved it. Once that I realized it was Sowing Seeds, I started listening to it a lot. I just love the vocals, even if it's all just 'la la la's.
For those of you having trouble with SC4, another tip: All the blue chips you need can be picked up while going up the tower. At the beginning of the mare, just make a beeline for the tower and ignore everything else.
Myself, favorite dream is Spring Valley, least is Mystic Forest.
I once made a car appear out of thin air, jumped in, and drove it. It was pretty cool. Then... it transformed into robotic battle armor, which I wasn't really expecting. XD
Heh, I beat Claris's dreams with straight C's and a B on my first try, in one sitting, before I even realized the battery in my Saturn was dead. XD And I just barely scraped that C on Spring Valley, I think I tried that one four times before I got used to the controls and moved on.
I got a battery a couple days later and beat both dreamer's stories, and a year later, I have perpetual straight A's, and solid 12th place on Scoreattack.net.
So today I go into my My Dream to check up on my Pians. This is what I see:
-three Pians seeming to compete for the highest hover
-two Pians trying to drown each other in a cauldron (no joke o_o)
-a couple Marens chasing around one Pian, who seemed oddly calm given the situation
-one Pian sulking in the corner
-a Pian that followed me around and kept ramming me with a huge grin on its face. It was rotating around on all three axes too. I think it was trying to smile for the camera while simultaneously trying to kill Will off. o_o
I think a beer keg must have wandered into My Dream along with the giant blimp.
If the game retains the sidescroller viewpoint, I'd think NiGHTS movement might be mapped to the pointer. NiGHTS follows the pattern you make with the pointer, or alternatively he tries to fly towards the pointer at all times.
Yay! I was staring at the board index, hitting F5 over and over again until registrations were accepted ^.^
You might remember me. You probably don't. I amassed a total of like, fifteen posts in the old forum.
Anyway, I'm a guy, fourteen years old, and I've been a fan of NiGHTS for about one year. I found my copy of the game at a Goodwill store. (one of the few good things I've ever pulled out of that den of evil, I only go in there 'cause my mom likes to shop there, and she drags me in with her. >.<) I loved it to death since then.
But in any case, I'm glad the forums are back and such. I'm excited that there's a place to talk about NiGHTS where everyone doesn't give me "weird look" emoticons.
