NiGHTS needs to be on XBLA and PSN. As pretty much the most popular Saturn game, with an intensely appealing art style, and addictive action gameplay, I can see it becoming a huge hit. I've known a ton of people who would love NiD 100% (and agree based on the art I show them) but don't have Saturns. For serious, it's the most sensible step for the future of NiGHTS.

NiGHTS -needs- to be ported.
It's all well and dandy that you can import the PS2 remake from japan and mess about with swap discs and buying ancient systems off Ebay- but c'mon here, when lesser titles get ported it really makes you wonder why the opportunity is being ignored. If they'd ported the original to XBLA and PSN when JoD was released it would have probably sold better too!
I get so many younger fans who played JoD and want to see why us old guys love the original so much ask me how to get a hold of it. While some of them buy the game on Ebay most probably drop to emulating it illegaly. This saddens me, I want gamers to be able to play it on todays systems without having to go through some mad trek just to experience it.
SO. MANY. PEOPLE. ASK FOR THE ORIGINAL GAME.
Lets give it that extra push it needs with one focused campaign.

Hopefully this will make SEGA see the dedication of this fanbase and finally give us something we want.

Though I won't be able to buy it anyway cuz PSN, XBOXLIVE or WiiWare ar enot supported in Turkey. -.-
But I will support you guys anyway!
You know what? I would like the series continuing more than being ported. But like the original game, with the ideya palace etc. not NiGHTS capturers or chase missions. It is worth continuing NiGHTS. Sega is nuts. -.-
Anyway, good luck ^^

Though I have heard that the Sonic Adventure ports/remakes are coming to PC as well. In that case, if NiGHTS was brought to PC as well, I'd be fine. Or better yet, a Wii retail version that should exist anyway due to JoD. Regardless of my console availability, I give you my support.

Yeah, i think the fact that youngsters are eager to shell out cash for a decade old system just to play one game shows how much it can still sell and how much it's wanted by the new generation.

Like me? Lol. (Well, we got Sonic 3D Blast for my brother, too, who has NEVER PLAYED NiGHTS!!!)

I don't actually have a PS3 or 360 at the moment, but I'd probably buy one just for an Original NiGHTS port. That plus, I just don't care for emulators -- to me, it's like trying to play the guitar with wool gloves on. It tends to lose something in translation.
This idea is awesome, and you've got my support 100% of the way!

The SEGA Saturn has some of SEGA's BEST titles and most original I.P's. It's the only system that gets the dance around when it comes to games being ported on current systems or added to collection games. Are they saving the Saturn library for a rainy day or something? I read a comment from Mr Hayes regarding the Dreamcast titles being put onto XBLA recently and he says that the Saturn library wont be ported. Whhhhhhy? Give us a good reason why the best games are being left out? The SEGA Saturn might not have shifted as much as the Dreamcast ever did, but people can't deny that the games weren't amazing.
To the best of my understanding, Saturn games are extremely difficult to straight up port due to the fact the Saturn used two processors and rendered it's 3D models with quadrangles instead of polygons. Any straight port of a saturn game requires the game system to emulate the Saturn itself before it could play a game.
However, NiGHTS is unique in that it's one of the few Saturn titles to be made on another system. That NiGHTS into Dreams was remade on the PS2 suggests a major hurdle was probably overcome and I don't see why we can't at least get that version. Either way, this game need to be part of Sega's online catalogue, right alongside their other great score attack games like Rez and Ikaruga.
Show your support poeple. Make it happen!

I mean, if they REALLY wanted to be nice they could just take the engine from JoD and build NiD around it. Too much to ask, i know, but it's an option at least. Probably an expensive one too. And time consuming.
I've played Xbox for a while now and the 360 controller would work SO well with a NiGHTS game, it's probably why Iizuka put the JoD on that console in the first place before SEGA told him to move it on to the Wii.
I bought the Wii solely for JoD, and i did end up buying other games along the way for the console so it wasn't entirely pointless owning the thing. If you all would consider buying a 360/PS3 for a NiD port i'm pretty sure you'd benefit in the long run from other games coming out. There's so much stuff on the 360/PSN stores that you may end up picking up.
Anyways, yes. In a nutshell, let's get as much support as we can from this and pray SEGA see this as something worth doing. I know this could be a long shot but SEGA need to know there IS a demand for this.
If we make it for NiGHTS 15th or not i guess i wouldn't care if they actually said one way or another "ok, you win. we're porting it".

Anyway! Good on ya for this campaign! SEGA celebrated Sonic's 15th anniversary with pomp and glamour, why not NiGHTS? I issued a challenge on my DA for my watchers. Should I bring it over here?

It's a simple method, one of which is working nicely just now.As much as I'd like to see the original NiGHTS make a return, I don't really see how a simple counter is supposed to prove anything about the number of people that want to see the game return.
As for SEGA, they know who we are, we've had connections with them before and we do so now. This will come as no surprise to them that we're asking for this. The number counter is a simple method for people to show their support without having to have too much asked of them.
I'm not sure if you were here for the Dont Forget NiGHTS campaign a while ago but that took a lot of work. This campaign is different, we don't want it to be as full in your face as the last one, this one is more relaxed.
We encourage fans to spread the word via their own means, whether they want to blog about it, draw art, make music, podcasts, videos, anything. That's how the word will spread and in time the campaign will show the fans to SEGA themselves. This 'button' is just to tally the count. There's nothing stopping any fans here from going away and doing something to help the cause.

Plus i should mention I track everyones IP's on both traffic and clicks. I can see when people are cheating. In the same way i purged all fake doubler emails from the last campaign. Granted some will get through but at the end of the day if people want to act like tools then they're not really doing anything other than wasting a bit of their own time lol.

I was wondering what all the hubbub was about; that mention on the homepage and the Event forum reappearing with "???" as a subforum. This absolutely needs to happen and with any luck we'll get the message across. The NiD15.com site is the perfect way to focus and channel fans from all around the world. I mean, it's already over 400 fans and it's been live what, 12 hours? Fantastic!
On the note of fans, facebook might be another viable "focus channel," haha. I would Like that group so hard that farmville would collapse.
Man...this would be something else!

The number of supporters NiD15 has currently after only being active for the last 24 has overtaken the final amount of people who actually supported the 'Don't Forget NiGHTS' in it's entire run.
It seems people really want this port XD

...I guess the Wii Virtual Console wouldn't be able to support it, huh? Well, maybe I'll get a PS3 by the end of the year. After all, I'm going to start work soon. ^-^ But I'm wondering: why not ask them to just send the PS2 version outside of Japan? Because Sega already said flat-out "no"? I was always a little unclear why that wasn't shipped over in the first place.

there is one thing thats amiss here it that the people that do not have a 360 or a ps3 should be able to play NiGHTS on there psp if they have one and i am not trying to sound like jerk but like my self do not have a 360 or ps3 so plz ask them to put it as a port for the psp as well
well psp would be harder :/

Despite being the biggest proponent of the Wii there ever was, Wii got JoD, and no one else did. Might as well let the other systems have NiD. I know plenty of people who haven't played NiGHTS but want to because they can't find a Saturn and don't want to buy the Wii for just one game. When is a better excuse to port NiGHTS than on his birthday?
Off to the fanart!

If anything this gives me more of a reason to try and get money for a PS3
