What setting would you like to see for a dreamscape?

i'd like to see her fly in a castle. I can already imagine him gliding through royal courts, chandeliers, and around ivy-laden towers
*for fun, post a picture of a location that you'd want to see NiGHTS fly in

I never really thought of more dreamscapes for NiGHTS.. personally, I love flying over great big cities when I dream, in-between skyscrapers and such.. I like any place with lots of flying space, really! LOL
.... outer space! That'd be pretty neat! An ocean of stars..
Thats a cool idea NOTiC. How about high in the air with turbulence and thunderstorms and the occasional Boeing I-50 megaplane?
I instantly thought of Mike Oldfield's "Five Miles Out".

I thought of another setting, even though it's similar to Mystic Forest - a tropical rainforest! Rivers and canopies and lush, green, oversized plants.. even some that could eat you if you're not careful! D:

Sorry Huruyami! XD; It's a song about a pilot flying through a storm. Kinda artsy-new-age-ish, but still cool!

no problemo XD sounds cool. How about a funhouse, full of mirrors and moving walls and such. like a new-age soft museum.

The castle idea's pretty good, but I'd love to see NiGHTS zoom among the stars and dance around asteroids.
Of course, that idea for the Wii is already taken. *shakes fist* Mario!!!
It'd still work, though.

i like the sky/space themed idea mentioned before, but I'd like to see NiGHTS getting entwined with the clouds a little bit closer to earth. but every object could have the space/sparkley/sky theme, like moons, crescents, stars, comets, all them goodies

That'd be kind of boring, actually. The whole point of deserts is that there's nothing to 'em. Just sand as far as the eye can see.Maybe some kind of a desert level.. Hmmm....
Even if you gave it an Egyptian flavor, with pyramids and oasi and palm trees and whatnot, those are primarily land-based. A NiGHTS level needs something a little more sky-oriented. Besides, a desert or Egyptian theme seems a little specific. NiGHTS levels seem to be based on generic ideas -- dreams that anyone could have.
Clever idea, though. I just don't think it'd work.

not unless it had thunder to make it interesting :-D maybe a grand canyonish area would be better

And let me play among the stars...
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars...
Seriously, we all know that for NiGHTS, the sky's the limit. JoD needs a level that demonstrates that. Heck, the fact that NiD didn't have a sky-based level is just criminal. Well... maybe you could count Twin Seeds, but still. That envelope needs to be pushed.

As if the costume redesign we're getting didn't raise enough outrage. You know, I would love a new puzzle level, like Soft Museum. :| Eh, whatever.

The background would mainly be a dark, near-starless sky with swirling grey-purple clouds. You'd fly along in what seemed to be like a complete void for a while, but then suddenly a piece of yellow and orange cloth would fly out at you and you'd have to duck to avoid it. After that, pieces of buildings and various objects would begin flying at you and you'd have to keep avoiding them, until you suddenly notice that you can see isolated trees that grow in floating clumps of dirt, and formless shapes of water containing small tropical fish. There'd be loads of stuff like this, until you finally reach the 'Nightmare' of the level which would contain the final boss (maybe Selph?).

Me, I'd like a really weird, screwed up set of offices. I dunno WHY I just would. Or maybe a really really big weird bedroom. Or a normal house that's messed up cause of the dream you're in (maybe with a kid in bed dreaming about a bedroom with a kid in bed who's dreaming about a kid in bed... etc! XD). People always think of dreams as being big and such (presumably because of the idea that they're whole worlds and so when you dream you come up with the whole world so everything has to be big) and so as having large landscapes and buildings, but that's a shame I think cause smaller spaces could make great 'scapes as well. Maybe if you looked out the window you'd just see white or something cause you hadn't dreamed anything up! Or it could change every time you looked/went round the mare?
Oh, and Zero-Shift, I love your idea of a casino reef! Combining themes is a great idea =D

I don't know. I enjoyed both Sandopolis and Oil Ocean in the Sonic games, so I would think they could do something with it that would fix the boring sand, sand everywhere. They're creative enough to have floating windmills and upside down mountains in their levels. That'd be kind of boring, actually. The whole point of deserts is that there's nothing to 'em. Just sand as far as the eye can see.

Surely Stick Canyon would be considered your typical desert level, with a bit of a NiGHTS twist ?

Actually, you're right. Which both proves my point and totally wipes out my idea. XD But I would like to see a different style desert, not involving cliffs and such. Maybe with some crazy flying pyramids and vulture minions. *snort* Man I'm bored. BATTLE AT THE OASIS!

The castle idea is cool, as is outer space, stormy skies, and the stormy night desert idea.

The course you just described seems far more at home in Nightmare than Nightopia. How about a bizarre void-type level, a level that's somewhat disjointed and contains little pieces of different other dreamscapes floating around. If anyone here has ever played the original Soul Blade game, then it'd be a little bit like the 'Chaos' arena where you'd fight the final battle with Inferno.

I like AYRiES' idea of making a smaller sort of world, but the idea behind NiGHTS is pretty much the exact opposite of claustrophobia. So how about a compromise: an insect level.
Try to imagine NiGHTS winding his way through a maze of ant tunnels. Or flying with bees through a series of honeycombs. Using spiderwebs as springboards. There's a lot of possibilities there.

As well as your inner Tron fan. Still, it can be difficult to ignore that tiny voice. Especially when Tron seems to make everything better. The thought of NiGHTS as a program makes me smirk.

...That too I think it's the idea behind the landscape of the Tron-verse that interests me; when you're looking at it, it seems to stretch on forever. It'd be nice to see any sort of landscape like that in JoD.As well as your inner Tron fan.

Interesting idea, but I think the medieval castle would complement the dragon persona just as well. How about an asian themed level to go with the dragon mask for NiGHTS?

Ah, but I meant more along the lines of that because they have to be free flying and big, only things that are already big are used as themes. They could be really big and even more surreal because of it maybe.
I adore the insect theme, especially the bee one. Neon coloured bees especially =D

Depends on the type of dragon... Maybe an asian themed castle?Interesting idea, but I think the medieval castle would complement the dragon persona just as well.
