"Well I'm coming, we've come this far, we should go all the way." Lucas said.

Yori smirks, and then steps into the dark portal, vanishing inside.

Youko slinked into the portal after Yori to stay close to him and keep him in his sighs during the teleportation.

Twilite also followed. She just wanted one part of their journey to be over with.

The portal was dark inside, REALLY dark. Suddenly, they heard a pulsating noise, getting closer. A ball of light floated near them, surrounded by a barrier that resembled blue flames. Suddenly, legs burst from the bottom, arms from the sides, and a collar on top, out of which spawned a bird-like mask over a jester-like nightmaren's face. It weilded a staff, emerald-encrusted and time-worn.

Twilite recognized this being. It was...

"Selph..." She muttered.

[Aura24]

Yori and Youko looked up at the straange, birdlike Nightmaren and started growling at it.

"Friend of yours, Twilite?" Youko asked, snarling.

[InTheNightlight]

"The real Selph is, but this guy's an impostor. Selph could never turn into a sphere like that." Suddenly, 'Selph' launched a jet of light at them, but missed by inches. "Whether this IS Selph or not, we're going to have to fight it to find the last Ideya."

Youko slinks around Selph and then leaps at him from behind, biting down on his neck.

[InTheNightlight]

'Selph' roars in pain and twist around at high speed, knocking Youko off and also spinning into Twilite and Yori, aiming next for Lucas until Twilite fired her laser rifle at him, knocking him off-course.

"It really is dark in here, and it looks like we need a quick escape," Lucas pulled out his flashlight and found a tunnel, "I found a tunnel! We might be able to escape through it."

[Aura24]

Yori grunted as he recovered from the blow of Selph's attack, "Well, let's not stand here like bowling pins!" He darts into the tunnel.

Just then, the tunnel entrance began to crumble. "Youko, Twilite, hurry before the tunnel entrance collapses!" Lucas said.

[InTheNightlight]

"But the Ideya!" Twilite pointed out. But the others were already darting through the entrance. Cursing under her breath, she ran through just as the entrance was blocked, but not before throwing a tracer onto 'Selph'.

IN THE TUNNEL...

"Well, we lost the Ideya, but I think we can still win. I put a tracer on that impostor so we'll know where the Ideya is. All we have to do is find a way out of here. Then we'll worry about 'Selph'."

Meanwhile, Tide and Slick entered the room that 'Selph' had fought the others. Almost no harm had been done. Tide scowled at the over-sized bird-like maren. When Syckehell saw that the fake Selph had failed to kill Twilite, he would be furious. She was the main target of Tide and Slick, but Syckehell had bigger fish to fry, yet he also wanted her dead, for reasons unknown to Tide and Slick. But Tide didn't want to wait to see the copy be destroyed, his feral instincts wanted to see bloodshed asap.

Suddenly, a power overwhelmed him. He felt a kind of fiery energy enter his hands and looked around, seeing everything in red. He felt something telling him to use this power to do what he wished. 'Ask and ye shall recieve' He thought. He glared at 'Selph' and raised his hand at him. The impostor disentegrated in a burst of flames, leaving only a scorched spot where the fake once stood. Tide gaped at what had happened, but then grinned. His master had just helped him. This war was as good as over...

Back in the tunnel...

"Well, my flashlight won't be much use in here, it's so dark that it won't even be able to light the tunnel up enough so we can see." Lucas said. "So who was that guy back there?"

"Well, my guess is that it's some sort of copy of another maren, Selph. You see, Selph was one of the first maren created, and he was very loyal. One day, he rebelled, but he was imprisoned in his own staff by Wizeman. More than a century later, my dad and his friends freed Selph, who then helped them defeat a villain named Sciimer. Twice, I might add. But nowadays, he travels the world, and when I last talked to him, he was on the other end of the world. There's nothing he can do here. The one we just faced in that room was a fake." Twilite explained.

"I have a feeling he knew we were going to be here, and that could mean it might have been one of Scykhell's traps." Lucas said.

[Aura24]

"Or maybe something worse..." Youko moaned.

Lucas sighed, "Isn't it always, But at least this is the last Ideya, how hard could it actually be to get?"

[InTheNightlight]

"While it may be the last Ideya, you're forgetting that it's also the rarest Ideya of all. So Scykehell is going to want to keep it from us." She checked the tracer's locations. It was moving due north at a surprisingly high speed. "We'd best start peeling out. The Ideya is moving, and fast."

Tide watched in amusement. Twilite and the others were still on the move. Unfortunately for them, they wouldn't get far. He had sent a maren ahead towards a new Nightopia with the Red Ideya to distract them. He turned from the one-way portal he had made with his new power and towards Reala. "So, the dreamers are still being reeled in like fish."

"Indeed." Reala smirked. "Yep, they have NO idea what's really going on." He noticed the portal. "Twilite and her friends headed after your operative?"

"Quite. Hmmm..." Tide noticed Reala. "I didn't know we maren could change our appearances..." He said. He thought on this subject. He looked in a mirror. For the first time in over a century, he noticed how ridiculous he looked. Bright yellow, orange, blue, purple, green and silver? Ridiculous! Not to mention that since he looked almost exactly like DaYZ, he had long eyelashes, peach-colored skin, and grey eyes. He thought. It was time for a change...

He snapped his fingers and his appearance drastically altered. His horns dissappeared, leaving a hat with three spikes. His vest turned into a winter coat and his jumpsuit turned a solid red. His boots also changed into a pair of winter boots. He looked in the mirror. Things just kept getting sweeter...

Back in the tunnel...

Not too far away, Lucas heard what he thought was a waterfall. "I think we've found our exit, but it's not going to be dry." Lucas said.

[Aura24]

Yori spoke out, "Well obviously, little dreamer, there would sure be enemy Maren ahead. I suggest you allow me to escort you all past them."

"You wouldn't happen too know how many Maren are ahead, would you?" Lucas said.

[EZEKiAL]

Scykhell's fangs gleamed in the light of the nearby Red Ideya. He dared not touch it, but he kept close guard.
"Never again will my brother see the light of day!" He cackled.

[Aura24]

Yori nodded to Lucas, "It depends on how many Maren are protecting the Ideya. Now, I will go on ahead to see any danger that awaits us.." He turned around, then leapt away into the tunnels and disappeared.

Youko growled softly, still not trusting Yori.

Yori advanced further into the dark tunnels, eventually entering a chcamber where the Red Ideya laid. He looked around. "Hmph, and I thought Wizeman would have a Maren to guard the Ideya." He hissed.

"It can't be this easy, there's bound to be a Maren somewhere in here." Lucas said.

[Aura24]

Yori turned around and saw Lucas, his eyes narrowed, "I thought I said that I will go on ahead and see any signs of enemies. Why did you follow me?"

"In case there actually was a Maren," Lucas said, "but it looks like it doesn't matter now, as it seems there aren't any enemies here."

[EZEKiAL]

Scykhell watched from the ceiling above, stalking his prey

Yori sighed, "Then let's retrieve the Ideya then..." He started to approach the red ideya to retrieve it.

[EZEKiAL]

At that moment, Scykhell leaped from his hiding place, grabbing the fox with both hands in a death-grip.

He laughed wildly, "Why are you all trying so hard? Scykle was an abomination! He didn't deserve to breathe our air!"

Yori struggled and snarled, "Let go of me, you maniac!"

[EZEKiAL]

The monstrous Nightmaren cackled at the fox's plea.

"But why would I let such a delicous morsel get away?" He said, opening his mouth widey.

[Aura24]

Yori's eyes widened and struggled violently, "No, no, no, no, no! Don't, dont'!!"

"YAAAHHH!!" Youko leapt out from the darkness of the chamber and latched onto Scykell's head, clawing down on his face with her sharp claws and raking them upwwards.

"I'll go and get Twilite!" Lucas said.

[EZEKiAL]

Scykhell roared in anger, tossing both foxes at Lucas.

"I've had enough! This void will be your tomb!" The Nightmaren roared loudly, and an arena barrier appeared around the three Nightmaren and the lone dreamer. "This isn't about Wizeman's orders anymore! I'm going to make sure my brother never breathes again!"

Youko stands back up and growls at Scykhell, "We'll see about that, you wretch!"

Yori stood beside her.

[EZEKiAL]

As Scykhell lunged toward his enemies, the three Ideya they had collected floated over to the twisted Ideya Palace that held the final crystal. As the four mingled, they began to blink, as if communicating with one another.

Scykhell launched attack after attack at the foxes, roaring in fury.

"You're not going to win this battle, or any other!" Lucas then acted quick. He sprang at Scykhell and tackled him.

Youko and Yori narrowly dodged each of Scykhell's attacks. Yori lunged at the maniacal Maren from behind and bit down deep on his arm.

[EZEKiAL]

Scykhell's rage built, causing his attacks to become more reckless and destructive. He grabbed Lucas by the neck and lifted him, ignoring Youko and Yori's attacks.

"Time to die, Visitor."

The group of Ideya suddenly flashed brightly, then disappeared.

[Aura24]

"Leave him alone!!" Youko roared, charging at Sychell and bit down on his hand that held Lucas.

[EZEKiAL]

Scykhell threw the boy away, then grabbed the fox and choke-slammed her into the ground.

"You've caused me enough trouble, mutt!"
