i've just noticed something. When NiGHTS is..."dying" ( i hate using that word XD) the white light eating him doesn't eats him/her ALL. The dream ends before it. Does it means something?...a random very random observation i made i know XD.

Also people. Remeber Wizmean's words during the normal ending. Just because its not said during the other ending, doesn't mean the rules do not apply.

"As long as darkness exist in the hearts of humans...then I and the nightmarens will also continue to exist." In other words, NiGHTS is fine. You get to see him on the tower for a reason. There was also a speculation as to wether this happend in the old game as well. And hey look...there he is! The rules from the old game apply here. Yes Wizeman is nightmare and his creations are tied to him, but he can never be fully destroyed. He is just stalled.

Now would you guys please not get so upset. I really wish that ending didn't happen that way because now everyone is starting to worry and get upset.

I think Shadow NiGHTS may simply be the time Wizeman reffered to wanting to put another soul into NiGHTS. Maybe that is all.....or it got cut out.

I've beaten both Will and Helen's story lines, with C or greater for everything, But have somehow managed to completely miss anything that gives me the idea that NiGHTS dies. (is it just me, or does this storyline remind me more and more of the comic that Archie secreted?)

Taken from a dreaming perspective though, falling snow means a fresh start, and a sense of peace and tranquility on a spiritual level.

PLEASE reread what I posted that has a lot of black spoiler blocks in it. Its very important and will comfert you a bit. It is because of that reason I did not really cry since I did not believe it. Sega just wanted to do something to try and make you cry, but then reassure you in the end. This was probably not a good idea...

I think when the lights went out, that is when NiGHTS, Wizeman, and nightmare itself was revived fully again and I guess it caused something to happen in the real world because of it. Or Sega did it for a random dramatic effect.

Ah ok. But yeah they did stress on it a lot didn't they. It made me wonder why since they were really contradicting themselves with the first ending. I think they just wanted to make it seem special and dramatic. They also wanted to point something out more about NiGHTS I guess.

Also think about it, we're talking about dreams here... if the kids mastered lucid dreaming to the point of controlling their dreams (first step being them flying on there own) wouldn't they be able to rez NiGHTS?

Also I have no idea why the lights turned out in the scene where will + hellen meet... I got the impression that it could have been another dream... and thus hellen's emotions killed the lights. Tho I'm liking YamiLover's idea that it was a symbol of wizemans rez... but why would he make NiGHTS again?

omg I'm not sure I can do hellen's ending tonight... I'd have to sit thru the sadness all over again.

They could dream their own dream version of NiGHTS, but it would never actually be NiGHTS since NiGHTS is a nightmaren. I don't think dreameres can make real nightmarens. THey could dream up things that look like nightmarens, but they would not function the same and would be gone when they woke up.

I think that when Wizeman rezed, his nightmarens also just came back as well without his doing. That and he may still have hopes of using NiGHTS. Otherwise he would not let him come back after the first game. Sure it doesn't talk about NiGHTS dieing in that game, but I am pretty sure the rules that appeared in this game, are also the same as what they are in NiD.

Also, my wii glitched in the glass castle stage...and Nights was flying about headless. His head existed, it was stuck in the air mid paraloop...but his body was well... flying the entire level without it. He had it back on the next loop...but it was weird.


I also had a glitch at the final stage, when the lights go out. ...they never came back on, Will rescued Helen, but no singing, and Helen was frozen floating immobile in front of the moon. I could move her, but nothing else... it was weird.

anyone else get some strange glitches???

Wizeman Disc says how nightmaren are created from parts of Wizeman... There will always be that part that is NiGHTS just as there is Reala...

I think it defiantly opens up many doors for a sequel.

I had one where after I opened a chest. Helen started to walk on the air....it was really weird...and also when I flew with Nights, his arm fell off or something..o.o

What was everyone's reaction to Twin Seeds 2.0..I mean, Bellbridge? On the one hand, it's like, ''again! yay!'' but on the other, it's like, ''oh, again''.. I guess it's no surprise, they got to re-do it, and then some, but I think for NiGHTS 3 they might wanna let "Dreams Dreams" rest a little. Lol, a million versions.

Asides from the whole 'appearing on the clocktower at the very end' thing, it just wouldn't make sense for Sega/Sonic Team to kill NiGHTS. They've just brought him back after a ten year absence, and they're going to go and kill him? That just isn't what I'd call a smart business decision. "Well, Journey of Dreams sold well, but we sorta kinda killed the main character so we can't capitalise on that success by making another game".

My reaction was kinda like, 'um, what? no! he's not dead.. yeah, bring him back after 11 years and kill him, uh huh'.. but I figure either it takes a lot less time for NiGHTS to recover than Wizeman, for whatever reason, or the will of the children that keeps him strong. After all, who's to say what effect the dreamer's consciousness might have on a Maren's health. Some evil child out there could be keeping Reala in top shape too..

Also, I'm sure we all get by now that what JoD is doing is just taking the story from the first game and expounding on it with dialogue and stuff.

Okay, I beat the game just last night.

Doesn't it seem suspicious to anyone that the lights went out right after Helen played Dreams Dreams on her violin? Anyone? Also, why did it snow all of the sudden? I really think it's obvious by now that something brought NiGHTS back.

I really think that, in the grand scheme of things, NiGHTS has been freed from his status as Nightmaren and can now freely exist as a memory. The first game was about Elliot and Claris overcoming their fears and saving Nightopia. While NiGHTS remained as a Nightmaren, what mattered was Nightopia was saved. This game put a twist on that by involving Wizeman trying to confine NiGHTS through a Persona that would seal NiGHTS' status as a Nightmaren forever. Since NiGHTS sacrificed himself to defeat Wizeman and save Nightopia again, NiGHTS was "dead" from that moment. But, after the violin concert, Helen must have revived NiGHTS by playing that tune. Then it started snowing, signifying a fresh start for NiGHTS, not as a Nightmaren, but as a Dream. Now NiGHTS is completely free.

So yeah, there is definitely room for a sequel. I am sure Wizeman, Reala and the rest of the Nightmaren will return as well. It would be cool if NiGHTS 3 includes every single Nightmaren from the first and second game, as well as some new ones, as well as explain NiGHTS as a Nightmaren before he rebelled against Wizeman. The game should also include a couple new dreamers in addition to the original ones, maybe an evil child who would make an allegiance with Reala. It would be the series ultimatum. =P

For the next game... I'd really love more insight on the actual workings of Nightopia, how Wizeman made NiGHTS and Reala, and all that.
The *very beginning* of Wizeman's rise to power in Nightmare. Maybe do away with dreamers altogether for one game, since this would presumably take place near the dawn of mankind and their dreams. No offense to the kids, but I find NiGHTS himself much more interesting... I'd love a game where you're *there* when it all begins... NiGHTS' creation, his first flight... the events before and after his rebellion...

Helen was jerking around, all wiggin' out on crack and she kept making the noise she makes when she jumps so it sounded like "Uhuhuhuhuhhuuhuuhuhuhuhuhuuhuh" and she was jiggling around. Finally by some stroke of luck that Dew Worm showed up and made a hole in space I got caught in and managed to slip out. Then I went about my merry way. Found NiGHTS with literally a second to spare.
