Rockman would indeed be a kickass 3rd party addition, and one that would make far more sense than Sonic imo.

He looks great and his attacks are awesome. I don't care if he turns out to be the next Fox, hes still going to be one of my best XD.

I like how they used SA:2 music versus something from Heroes or SatSR cause they KNOW that was one of their latest accomplishments lolol.

Sonic and Mario at the Olympics still makes me cringe, THIS game will show who is the best lol.

Nintendo did say that at most there would be two or three 3rd party characters. Assuming there will still be one more, Megaman would be my first pick. He originated on NES and the franchise is still active on Nintendo systems. Not only that, if Snake, Megaman, and Sonic were all in the same game, it would be like some kind of holy trinity of 3rd party mascots.

Also, Midgit, Megaman has been in fighters before. He was playable in both Marvel vs. Capcom games.

I've played Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and it isn't that bad. It's pretty fun (aside from the swimming minigame which was confusing and annoying).

They're keeping the theme from SA2. f*** YEAH This is the first game in a long time where you can transform in-game. Also f*** YEAH.
Come on. SA2 for Wii. Fix those problems in Battle, and put it on the Wii.
After that, SA3 would be nice.
Oh, also, is it just me or does he look better than he did in 06?

I know he has. I own MvC. But... In a glorious game such as this? Not really. XD Plus, I'd be more for X making his appearance in a fighting game, not that Exe cracker. Plus, come on... You KNOW you want to see a three way between Sonic, Mario, and a Lightbot.

The thing with Smash bros characters that for the most part, they're decently balanced. I hope the make Kirby a bit stronger in this one, he was awesome in the original, then they nerfed him a little..

Now that whataboutpaul said it.. I hafta agree! This is the greatest justice I've seen done to Sonic since I can't exactly remember when! OH THE IRONY. Live and Learn is still one of my fave songs... then the classic SFX.. the charged up spin attack and all... *sniff* My classic fangirl is squee-ing with joy!

If there's one thing Smash always does, it brings back the good times! Now I wonder though, what will they use for his stage? Green Hill seems a bit too obvious, and yet so appropriate.. Station Square? Oooh yes, then we'd have Chaos causing mayhem in the background!

A little? He went from one of the best to one of the worst!

I personally think balance was a huge problem, one that I hope is addressed in Brawl. Lets face it, without variables like level hazards and items, the speedsters trumped almost everybody. It got to the point that I couldn't even stomach playing competitively because 2/3 of the tournament entrants were either Fox, Marth, or Sheik.

I frankly despise the SSBM tournament scene. When you ban items and half the stages you're taking out the chaos that makes Smash so hectic and fun to begin with. At that point why don't people just move to something more refined like 3rd Strike or Tekken: DR? Thank goodness I have friends who feel the same way so I can still enjoy casual Smash.

Brawl website has updated today with Sonic's move set. Lol, his upwards attack is the Spring Jump and it leaves the spring on the battlefield for a while. There is something funny about seeing Mario jump up after Sonic with his own spring. XD

Man, this game is going to kick all levels of huge ass. I honestly can't wait!

About time Sonic got to be in something 3D and actually AWESOME. (Cause some of the newer stuff has been okay, but not AMAZING to me.)

Sonic looks great, and really fun to play. I love Mario as well and it will provide some great epic battles. I wonder how he'll get tied in with the Subspace Emissary thing.

Not to mention, I wonder what stage they'll give him. Green Hill would be nice and iconic, I think, but they might want to go for something more recent...

I just watched the trailer again and Trippy said the same thing i was thinking. Sonic to be featured in Brawl makes us more excited than some of the actual sonic games that have been released in the past. When i first heard of SA1 and saw the first few screebshots back in 1998 i was soooo excited. But after SA2, the hype started to drop for me. Sonic Heroes, Sonic 06, Sonic Riders, Sonic and the Secret Rings...they all kinda released and i didn't think much of it. By Sonic's release on the Wii i was hardly paying attention anymore to his games because i always kept feeling short changed in some way.
But i know the Smash Bros. series and i know how good this game is going to be and it fills me with excitement at the fact that Sonic is in something like this.

With NiGHTS: JoD, even though i can't wait to play the game, i wasn't able to feel the buzz for a while because i had a lot to worry about when we first heard of it's existence. With the other Sonic games set for release, they don't really grab me. This game has got me fired up in a way i ain't been since SA1 was announced.

I am a very happy bunny.
Plus, seeing Sonic and Mario stand side by side at the end of that trailer makes me glee to no end. I like it when two rivals come together.

Yeah. When I first heard about it, I was kinda "Yay, but, it's just not touching me...", until things really started to develop.

Anyway, on-topic.:

Sonic in Brawl. I've got mixed feelings about that, really. I mean, Sonic will always be ONE of my favorite video game characters. He was the 1st Video Game Character I really loved. Own practically everything of Sonic from the 90s that one can imagine. Well... a good enough amount for people to call me insane. xD; .

But, it's just... I don't know. It was really expected for me, I guess, and that took away the "OMG AWESOME PRESENT!" -ness of it all. Didn't really excite me a whole lot... probably because I lost the giant interest in Sonic and 'NiGHTS' and 'Okage: Shadow King' really replaced it. Doesn't mean that I don't like Sonic, just I'm not as hyped about him as I use to. But, on a brighter side, we can do lots of Mario vs. Sonic battles to our heart's content 8D!

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad he's in Brawl, just I probably would've been even happier years ago. That's basically what I'm saying. xD; .

At first I was at a loss when I heard it...and then I thought, "Oh wait...I already went through this feeling with Mario And Sonic at the Olympics." So...yeah...doesn't make me feel much different. Its just fighting now and its going to have different characters.

My boyfriend was happy and a little stuned.

Me: BUt...but thats not fair! Mario will only win because I suck at video games compared to you! *cries*
