I'm so looking forward to seeing his character unfold in Engelbaum. It's gonna rock more than a Rock Star arcade cabinet that's rolling down a cliff-face...in BedRock.

My first speculation to who she'd show was right. And even more creepy was the fact that Mr. iMAGNi was changed from his previous version which I kinda figured would happen. Publishing makes one thing twice on that kinda thing. So yay for that! And he does look rather awesome. Where's his gawf boots!?!

Lol. I knew people would start wondering what gender he is. Let's just say the androgony thing is still present in the character only we'll refer to him as 'male' to make life simple.

At first i had the idea to make him completely male but then TRiPPY told me about the 'genderful' thing that made NiGHTS special and how it could work for Imagni. Imagni is a God of sorts and because of that we didn't want to strict him to one specific gender as there are two different types of gender in the waking world. In the dream world there should be no limits and if he is meant to represent the dream world then he should be of both gender. We want him to cater for all, lol!

To be honest it feels personaly to me like he's simply regressed to more of how he looked when i was a kid. It wasn't just U.V that inspired him though, although that would be the largest factor. If i pointed out what inspired me there'd be no fun in guessing XD

It was a really hard almost painful thing to do. I've never had to change him before for a purpose. But I'm more than happy with how he looks now. To be fair he serves a completely different role in Engelbaum than U.V ever did in wtahm. He's sort of gone up in the world lol, nor is he trying to escape from anything/anyone, he's very much free as a lark already. I was thinking back to the parts of wtahm that never made it on paper, just random talking with people about the imagnirealms, how they were created and so on, how the gens were created etc. I wanted to take things WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back to the beggining so people could understand wtf iMAGNi is all about without comparing him to U.V too much. I wanted to take everything that has ever made my muse himself and combine it into one seperate character.

It was sort of like a cycle i guess. When JoD came out there was no way i was going to waste everything that I'd created in the past few years. So by completely rewriting, redesigning and reimagining the basics i was able to come up with something original that isn't NiD and follows a very different story. It's probably more like the Matrix than NiD lol... though I can't imagine iMAGNi jumping out of any windows in black pvc. I wanted to show the things i hate and like about the waking and contrast them, then give them a source.

I didn't want to give iMAGNi a set gender for the reason as time goes by he has went from one to the other. If i make it moot then there's no need to ever change him. I guess he likes to confuse people. Plus as DiGi said, more people can relate to him this way. I just want him to be a very open, loveable character that has a lot to learn about his actions. There's a lot of moral with him. He's not good, he's not bad... he's sort of just very self serving, lol.

Hahah, well i suppose so, but it was actualy just me hyper inspired when watching the Madonna/Justin 4 minutes video XD; I'm digging any kind of music right now that mentions time, clocks or numbers because the Numeratti are like little clock/number beasties. I just imagine iMAGNi boogie-ing to this one along with the next d00d I'm coloring.

Speaking of which, I might have to redraw him... hmm... he was one of the first people i drew and I'm not happy with his proportions... but i might be able to stretch/squash the lineart on the pc. Here's hoping. I'm too lazy to redraw all THAT >:/

Yeah, redesigning characters can be a pain - Kas' redesign was similar, because I wanted to remove the Gaia influence from her completely, which I can say I've done now, but I liked her how she was etc.
Looking forward to the new version of perfect black. If he's nearly as detailed as imagni, it should work well.

Just 3 seconds ago finished a piece of gift art for my friend. It's the first time I've drawn NiGHTS in ages since JoD came out so i figured doodling for Jewelz would be the best excuse to do both XD Idly nattering to NiGHTS' VA is bizzare. Buhhh, she rawks.

Ok change of plans, the last character will go up on the website a while before it opens along with a countdown to the comic going on sale (its fitting for the character). Right now what's important is getting issue 0 complete in every sense of the word, so I'll be a bit quiet (other than my annoyed ramblings). But if i get my head down I'll get it all done.

In other news Julissa loved the pic so much shes using it as her avatar, lollllllll, *fantardheadexplode* NiGHTS' voiceactor promoting my shizz man. This makes me happy like waking up and finding 50 abandoned puppies in my slippers.

Now onto iMAGNi world domination and all that corny crap <3

I made his feet a bit bigger/pointer, made his coat diagonaly cut at the back, dropped the tail spikes (i use them for Numeratti instead) aaaaaand that's it i think. My scribbles make me go D:> But he's still cute.
