Anyway, back on topic, What level do you think pians are on? I think they are level 0. I think random maren are like level 4 because they are so basic.

I think they aren't on a level XD. As far as I see it, the higher the level, the stupid and less advance (and more gruesome) a Nightmaren is.

A Level 4 Nightmaren, if they exist, would then be rather basic, stupid, like a robot, and horribly gruesome and violent. Reminds me of 'Null' from MGS: Portable Ops. (sorry. Became a major MGS fan XD). Or, they might be exactly like what EZEKiAL said. And, it seems, the larger the number, the more of a beast they are and the bigger they are (i.e.: Puffy could probably wrestle with Gillwing XD. They're both huge. SO could Gulpo, and maybe even Clawz). While, Jackle is a little less than 2x NiGHTS and Reala's size, and NiGHTS and Reala are about as tall as a human.

A 0 Level Nightmaren would be dead XD. Or, works for him/herself. Or be perfect (the smaller the number, the better they seem to be). We're 0 Level Nightmaren XD. Or Wizeman is.

Sorry, speculation here XD. Wanted to talk about level 0 marens. ZOMG.

The manual is slowly slipping away from my mind XP. I don't think I've read that or the strategy guide in quite some time (a year at most).....

I always thought that Nightmaren (as the bosses) and minions were somewhat different. Then again, I do remember the strategy guide/manual stating that they're both Nightmaren. I thought there were 'Nightmaren' and then 'Nightminion' XD. Meh.

But back on topic, I really dont think Jackle is all that special. So what he has horns. Woop-dee-flippin-do. That doesnt make him 1st level because he looks like them. Also, He seems to be to evil and followingish to wizeman to be 1st level and be capable of free thought.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the clarification, Purg and Louis ! I was kinda unsure before >.>! Like I said, I thought they were two separate things, both created by Wizeman, but.... still different.

Anyway, I tend to notice, the lower the class.... the more violent the Nightmaren tends to be (it's also officially stated somewhere). Like, Gillwing and Gulpo have huge teeth, are giant compared to NiGHTS, and would probably crush their enemies and eat them. Opposed to Jackle, who just throws cards at you XD.

Actually, of course this is just speculation, but... I think that Jackle might be insane because.:
1.) Wizeman did want to make him like that. I would have no clue why, except Jackle would probably scare the kiddies more . (you gotta admit, that giatine (SP?) scares the hell outta me >.>!)
or
2.) When Wizeman made Jackle, something went wrong with Jackle's brainy/thing that makes him think, and he became insane.

The head of this project was also the head of Shadow the Hedgehog... XD And he was only a designer on NiD.
