Why the lowercase "I"?

My theory is that all of the original Nightmaren have spelling errors in their names. The evidence-
Gulpo- "Gulp" for his big mouth with "o" added.
Puffy- No real error.
NiGHTS- Lowercase "I"
Reala- "Real" with "a" added.
Jackle- The Jackal is a type of wild dog
Wizeman- "Wise" with a "z"
Gillwing- "Gill" and Wing" combined
Clawz- "Claws" with a "z" insted of an "s"
So, is there an "official" reason for the "I," other than that it just looks nice on the logo?

But I think the reason is having the logo in all-caps is generally a good idea from a branding perspective. And by making the "i" lowercase, they can use his gem as the dot on top and make the logo feel more connected to the character. IMO it's all marketing.
I would wager the misspelling of other characters names is what makes them look like names rather than adjectives. I mean "Wizeman" is not a wise man. And Clawz is not just claws. Puffy is undeniably puffy and little else...

I think it makes it look that much cooler and attention-grabbing. Like "Whoa, that's in almost all capital letters... Whoa, except the "i"!" or some crazy thing like that.
That is a theory I took some graphic design classes recently and learned some things with logos and my teacher said to make it attention grabbing so thats a reason

Jackle doesn't really resemble a jackal
Im pretty sure that the name of Jackle has something to do with the word cackle, thing that Jackle is a professional at (lol) and the "J" stands for Jester
I dunno, it makes sense to me

Well...Selph fits my theory! I think a better word that "Misspelling" would be "variations upon a word," so I appologise. Jackle may to look like a Jackal, but the Japanese site called him death/an executioner/whatever, and the Egyptian god Anubis had a Jackal's head. Anubis was god of embalming and the underworld, fitting the death theme.Well, Reala actually is a name that people have. It's mainly used by african-american females, but is indeed a name. So I don't think misspellings have anything to do with it. The misspellings were probably made intentional because the names of the Maren were puns upon their respective animals. A fish gulps, hence gulpo. A cat has claws, hence Clawz. Things like Gillwing and Puffy were probably just derived from their appearance, and I'm sure Reala is a reference to reality. Jackle doesn't really resemble a jackal, but who knows what on earth those crazy SEGA Japan people were smoking when they thought this whole thing up to begin with.
That makes sense as well.Im pretty sure that the name of Jackle has something to do with the word cackle, thing that Jackle is a professional at (lol) and the "J" stands for Jester
