Just for anybody waiting on that puzzle, it's apparently going to be complete on Friday...meaning they won't announce the character until the following week, i bet you.

I was kinda wondering that myself yesterday.

Yeah. It's down to just the letters in the fifth word. They dragged this out to the extreme. Every single letter got filled in other than the fifth word which begins with the letter 'D'. Unless they can sidestep the inevitable then next week the puzzle will be complete.

This puzzle is quite interesting indeed! I wonder how long they can delay the inevitable?

Also I personally hope that Purge is in this game. Fingers crossed!

You mean the puzzle? They'll have to start filling out the fifth word today and for the rest of this week until they finish it. It currently reads -

It's going to say 'Dragon', it's going to be Ryo and everyone will go home and sit on their thumbs because we actually waited this long.

They don't add any letters during the weekend, simply because nobody is at work during the weekend XD;
As for today, Kellie is in the American office and probably has a few more hours to go before the end of her shift so i'm guessing we have some time yet before today's one comes up.

Anybody else check out that article on Toe Jam and Earl? I know DiGi knows about it because I saw his name over at a SEGA Nerds. Some pretty lame stuff right there. I already emailed the guy. I've never played TJ&E but I would like to play as them. The more classic characters in this game, the better.

The ToeJam & Earl thing is full of politics. Basically, it's bullshit on SEGA's part. I emailed the creators of ToeJam & Earl earlier today and got my reply an hour ago.

In a nutshell, SEGA don't want to pay to use Toejam & Earl and they want to 'lock up future rights to the IP'. With that kind of offer who in their right mind is going to say "sure, go ahead!" ?
*sigh*
Come on, Sega. I love you and all but treat others with a bit of respect, yeah? They're shoving millions of pounds into advertising Mario and Sonic at the freeze-your-blue-balls-off Olympic Crappy Games (which was boring when me and Jof played it, might i add) and they can't offer up a decent sum of cash to get ToeJam & Earl in this easily fun and enjoyable racing game? ASR plays a hundred times better than the Olympics tripe. How about putting some money in to a game that's OMG MULTIPLATFORM?

Hello everyone! This is NinMicroSega from the official SEGA boards. I helped with doing the original research to find Greg Johnson and contact him regarding ToeJam & Earl's absence in this awesome game! (that just got even more awesome with Ryo's confirmation, but seriously, who thought he wouldn't be in? )

Mr. Johnson responded on the SEGA forums last night under the pseudonym "Big Earl" (which is reminiscent to the TJ & E website). This is what he posted:


"Well I gotta say I'm impressed. You guys are amazing.

Yo Wha'sup. Big Earl here, a.k.a. Greg Johnson - co-creator of the ToeJam and Earl games.

I just want to let you know that I hear you my alien brothers and sisters, and your voices make a difference. I can't promise anything but I'll give it another try and see if I can get the homies at Sega to talk again on the phone. No promises, but I'll see what their interest level is. Hopefully they can see what amazing devoted fans TJ&E has. Hurray for the FUNK! Well if I get any news I'll come back and post it here. And I'll keep trying to get some new TJ&E game off the ground. No publisher has agreed to foot the bill yet, but never say never. The funky duo shall yet return.

Thanks for keeping the faith after so many years. Who says you can't make a difference.
