Im baaaaack!>:3 I wanted to throw out an idea, K? Its called "The NiGHTS in The Hat", like Cat in the Hat? We remake Cat in the hat with NiGHTS characters (and manga, of course). CHARACTERS:
NiGHTS = Cat in the Hat
The little kids = Claris & Elliot
The annoying fish = Reala, lol
Thing 1/Thing 2 = Pians, or Mepians
What do joo think about it?

Why can't Gulpo be the fish? Or Clawz as the Cat? Then have NiGHTS and Reala as Thing 1 and Thing 2?

Well, it just seemed like it fit. I just went to Universal Studios/Island of Adventure and went on the Cat on the hat ride. I replaced all the Chars. with NiGHTS chars. The story was...
- Two kids are bored
- Cat comes and entertains them
- Fish says No! Not when your mom iz away!
- Cat unleashes things 1&2
- They Capture them
- Clean house
- Mom comes back

that got me thinking about classic christmas storys. steadfast tin solider? how about "The Steadfast Tin Dreamer" ?
Elliot could be the Tin soider and Claris could be the ballarina and the evil jack-in-the-box could be (you guessed it) Jackle. of course we would leave out the part that the title charecter falls into a furnace at the end of the story It would follow more like the version Disney did in Fantasia 2000

Well, this pretty much died... though I am not surprised though. None of the projects I wanted to do are ever finished.

I have lost the spirit for this... I just can't go on with this anymore, since it's going nowhere. My artwork is not good enough for a book either. I can't even draw a stupid comic page, let along 30 of them. I'm not even cut out to draw illustrations for this book...

My artwork skewers the world of NiGHTS into tiny, messy bits of nothingness. I'm not worthy, and I never was.

sorry i havent been around much. our computer got infected with a virus so my parents set parental controls, preventing me from viewing the forum at times. (I'll try to find a way to hack into it ) "The steadfast tin dreamer" is in draft stage as we speak. heres the cast:
Elliot- the steadfast tin soilder
Claris- ballarina
Jackle- evil jak-in-the-box (LOL)
thats all i got so far. NiGHTS might appear as the boat or somethin. I'm gonna get some concept art in the forum as soon as i can

@Kaibib: at one point or another, every artist starts doubting there abilitlys (belive me, I should know) . I for one, think your drawing are beautiful ( no, I'm not being a suck up here) keep foucused, start with little projects and work upwards, It is a really daunting task, isen't it?

so i dont have to type out the ridculiously long story title i have, I'm just gonna call it "TSFTD" (the steadfast tin dreamer) k, thats outta the way, second: I got the first page done this morning, only the rest of the story to go We don't have a scanner at my house, so I'll ether have to take a picture of the page and fix it up useing the paint program or wait and see if my dad can fix the one in his workplace... gonna post as soon as i can (my dad has all 3 of our digital cameras! )

sorry i had to leave in the middle of the action, guys, 'ya know, with christmas partys and all that jazz. also, my project has hit a small delay due to the fact that i got a Wii plus JoD for christmas (A lucky stiff, I am) and the fact that I just can't draw Jackle yawning well enough. I must practice.

In a forum/project filled with latecomers,newcomers,bandwagons, duct tape, gaff tape, electric tape, the electric slide, and downed spirits (among other things) heres something to cheer you all up. I came into the fandom just last September, and I was so excited I started doing my own NiGHTS doujinshi. my drawing skill were not honed yet, and when I came across the project so many mouths later, I coulden't help but chuckle and draw the current reaction to the drawing:


yes, i know in the more current drawing I diden't do Reala's gauntlets, but I don't really care right now and the bad quality is due to the fact that i don't have a scanner....

Okay, I'm not part of this circle, but reading this thread I needed to chime in.

Kaibib, DON'T GIVE UP. Your art is really nice. Yeah, there's some stuff that could do with a little work but the rest is lovely. And something big to keep in mind, the best way to improve is to practice, and a nice project like this is a good opportunity to GET that practice. The more you draw, the better it'll get.

And if you're worried about the pressure, maybe just do some online-only stories as a warm up? Cut your teeth on some pages and make it much less scary. It doesn't have to be utterly perfect, but do the best you can, and the next thing you do will be even better.

So hang in there and don't give up on yourself.

Also, can everyone who's still able to work on heir entries sound off in here? Is just that motivation seems to be lacking around here and if people aren't interested or able to complete their entries it might be an idea for someone else to take their place, just to get things moving again.

We need to see if thouse who origanally singed up are still in, and if they arn't, that leaves room for others who want to get involved. we also need to let others know that even if they arn't in on the project, they can still give there input on storys.
It's not like we're gonna judge there artwork. they can draw stick figures with jester hats for all i care.
If I can get Kaibib-sensei's consent, I'll PM all current members to check in.

This is very off topic, but... I went to the doctor and she said I have depression, moderate depression. (the kind they try to shove pills down your throat and make you talk to a fraking counselor.)

Just great... I thought I had depression YEARS AGO. I don't fraking want to take meds! I don't want to go to a counselor! And I DON'T WANT FRAKING DEPRESSION! -fumes-
