Ok I just asked my friends and it actually cost them about $1,100 to fly from Tennessee to Europe. The reason I heard the double price was because they were buying their two tickets together. However, that dosn't include the room and other expenses needed to live there for two months. Still, its a lot of money out of someone's wallet. Especially for me. I am haveing to limit my eating just so I can get NiGHTS. lol

Also, its a lot of money when the only real reason I want to go is to meet TRiPPY and buy her stuff that she will probably not sell online. Oh well... Maybe when I get out of college...which won't be for another 4 years, and after that I have a huge ass loan I will have to pay off then. >.< UGH! I hate money! Maybe another year if I get more scholorship money or something. I can dream can't I?

Wait...when is Auchi? Is it during the summer?

Anyway, me, Josse and my brainwashed boyfriend are currently saving our quarters so we can go. I mean, we're on the same continent and all, we don't really have a good escuse NOT to go! XD

Crap. It's looking less and less likely that I'll actually study abroad over there, but I'm still going to try and have like a week long vacation over there. I really want to go to Scotland and this convention just makes the deal sweeter. I really want to meet you charming folks. Besides, like TRiPPY said, can you imagine how funny it would be to get NiGHTS and Pyramid Head in photos together? Also, I planned on doing the Haruhi dance with maybe some Jacko Thrilleresque stuff on the side, so yeah, good times.

Oops. Didn't read this topic for a while since we've been a bit busy here behind the scenes as NiD.com and i kinda forgot this topic was here. ;;;;

Lol, this brings back memories of the last Auchinawa. Oh, how we rushed and tried to organise everybody that was coming and who was going to stay where and what XD ....and then nobody that we organised things with turned up. We did, however, have a proper bangshing time with Salem, GC and Ki who i didn't even know were going until TRiP told me a few weeks before the con actually started. And what a lovely evening that was too. ^^ Tashy and Tsu, i didnt even know who they were until TRiPPY told me they had been in contact with her before the convention started and they turned out to be really nice people, too. I didn't know Feniiku was going until i actually saw her at the con.

So, yes. Even if the con is a bit of a wash out and nobody knows what is going on, it can still be fun. A few drinks can change everything, lol.
Last time, me and TRiP sat down with GC and Ki and we were casually talking. And then this drunk dude just turns up out of nowhere and sits at our table and starts talking to me and i'm all like "...yo. ...and who are you?". Turns out it was Salem, lol. XD

So, yeah. Auchi. Auchi is good and will be OMG better this time around since we won't be making the same mistakes as last time. I'm not too sure if we'll be actually bringing the UV cosplay since last time it was a lot to carry and this time we'll be focussing more on getting a bloody table and maybe selling some stuff. Though, if we do a cosplay then it won't be as OVERKILL as the UV one was. Man, that costume nuked the whole stage. XD

At first glance, I thought this was for this year, which would have left me unable to attend due to no more vacation time to be used. However, now that I found it's for next year, a chance of me attending is most probable now. I've been looking for a way to get out and see a bit of the world. I think this may be a nice change of pace and scenery. Also, I have some business to attend to in Glasgow so this may work out better in the end. It just means I will need a lot more money than just for the flight, convention, room and board, food, etc. Just have to find a certain tattoo shop and not get lost on the way back. And hopefully it will be good from then. So a more than likely chance I'll be attending unlike last year. Hope to see others, too.

Guess who is also going? Lol, myself and Thalia plan to make Auchi a regular con I'll probably drag my cloak and Blaze outfit along again, I've nearly finished another outfit (just needs fur) and I must get you to let me poke that hat next time Trip! XD

But after seeing some people on it last year, its a bloody impressive sight to see someone who's really good at it. I mean, I think it could put some peoples control pad work to shame.

And I honestly didn't think it was that cold up there during the con. But then again, we didn't venture out much further than the station, except to get hot chocolate and sandwiches for breakfast, food for dinner with a big group of cosplayers, and to terrify the local game shop by walking in in full cosplay and demanding a free poster XD Again in a big group.

On a side note, I wish I had doodled something which I actually kept and didn't involve crappy pictures pertaining to 4 radom words given to me...the Irish dolphin who drowned was a laugh. Other than that, the pictures weren't really that good. (Doesn't help when Salem gives words like gastronomic bypass)

I think that one of the days should be nothing but drawing. Last time we were walking all over the place trying to find stuff and spent most of our time wandering than actualy -doing- stuff. I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys again, my friend has been through in Glasgow a lot recently and it makes me pine, but all our monies for travel have to go to our house funds right now. So thank god Auchi is far off. Lots of other things before then we have to iron out.
I wonder if it'll be in the same hotel again? At least it was -somewhat- easy to find and not up too many hills XD

Yeah, if it's the same hotel then that's blessed. I didn't mind the hotel at all, it was rather swish. ^^
But, yes. Need to be saving those funds so we can actually go.
AND, for those who ain't in the know, the Auchi website has been updated with a short survey for you all to answer. And when i mean short i mean like "woah...what's the point in asking us this?" short. XD Go and check it out.

On a unrelated note, GC. Thank you for linking us to the TV website, man. Not only has Heroes been on our computer screen until crazy hours of the morning but so has Cowboy Bepop, Samurai Champloo and any other thing we can think of to watch. Great stuff.

A whole day dedicated to drawing would be awesome. ^^
It would give us a day to rest our silly little legs, have a convo and be productive all at the same time (although I do have the feeling alcohol will be a part of itm at some point)

Maybe all us NiD folks could do our own add-a-panel (or add-a-page, since its less restrictive) for the website.

Firstly, There were pics o.O? I was ruddy wasted! I mean totally rat bottomed! I even gave a little emo kid at the bus station a quid! How nice am i! (again i was wasted >.>)

Secondly, the first thing i said when i walked over was "Ahhh Whisky" and downed the lot then i turned to you and rambled something about your coat THEN i went and flirted with the bar maid a bit more, i think her name was Lyndsay XD

Best night I've had in a long time, and I've had a whole mess of good NiGHTS (if this wants a child friendly place i'd go into detail ) but aye thats ranks up there with the cream of the crop. I think, now that i strain myself, i remember some kinda pic...and i remember cringing when I'd finished. Utterly shocking stuff right there, hope my banter made up for it XD
