Just a heads up for anyone who went last year and is coming again, or new guys who want to attend.

Last year was fun (CHAOS BUT FUN). We're definately going, going to get a table too. Also i'll be taking my UV NiGHTS cosplay again along with 2 secret costumes (if we have the time resources to make them because i'm psycho busy right now with offline stuff). I'll be a lot more settled in and organized next year because 06 was my first convention experience. Being around lots of anime fans was a little scary.

The full auchinawa video will go on the .com one day whe DiGi gets around to putting it all together. (yes it exists)

But anyway, yeah, consider this my official pimpage.

I wish I could go but I live way too far away. The only thing I get to go to is the Comic con in San Diego. (Which is way too crowded!)

I hope you get those secert costumes done and the video uploaded. I would really like to see them. Also, you said you are getting a table this time. What are you going to be selling. (I know its art but I meant specifically.)

Yes! This just sealed the deal. Now I'm totally going to study abroad in Scotland next year. Hey TRiPPY, quick question. If I decide to cosplay, should I be tame and go as Yamazaki from King of Fighters/Fatal Fury, or should I go the whole nine yards and don my Pyramid Head outfit?

That would be cool if the NiGHTS community went together, but I live in the US, I gots Anime Boston, and I don't know anyone in this area that likes or even knows of NiGHTS ;)

Lol, if you could pull off a Pyramid head style cosplay then you'd probably blend in with the residents when walking around Glasgow dressed liked a maniac butcher! XD

As for our 'secret cosplay', don't bet your arse on it. It took TRiP 2 years to make the UV NiGHTS costume. This time, she has to make 2 costumes. You honestly think we'll get it all made in time for next year? XD Besides. That UV costume is so good it can just double up as one amazing costume.

But, yes. This year we won't make the same mistake as we done last time. We spent so much energy (and money, too >.<) on trying to get people to come to the convention and in the end 90% didn't/couldn't make it. This year, me and my boo will do the very best to worry about ourselves and let everyone do the same for themselves too. That way, everyone else has their own back covered so we can sit back and enjoy the con together.

Speaking of which, for our Glaswegian crew, could you all please make sure your friend Salem buys a ticket this time? Last time, he just walked around like it didn't matter and made me feel like a complete mug for bombing £100 on two tickets for me and the TRiP. Salem! Buy a damn ticket, you chav!! XD

Other than that, yes. Auchi 08 could very well be rather nice. Either that or it's going to go tits up again, just like last time. And if i see that damn boy Oddjob acting like a bloody psycho stalker again, this time i'm bloody rushing him.

Wheewoo~ I knew about this already! Us Sweatdrop guys got a heads up at Amecon from the people who run Auchi sooo... guess who'll be there with bells on?

You'll have to try get a table by us! Then we can have a gab~ ahaha. I know from experience being behind a table at an event can be quite draining - you're working while everyone else is running round having fun. ^^; Having some mates close helps things muchly~! *grabby hands*

As for the security issue (you know, people like your friend getting access to events without a membership), it should be sorted this time round. Last year was the commitee's first con so things are bound to go a bit haywire but it should go a bit smoother this time. ^.^

Oooh! How excitinggg! X3 And by then we'll (hopefully) have JoD to play too! Games room, here I come~ *hearts*

Lol, the 'security' was playing plastic swords fights with that bloke from Video Gaiden and taking the fight seriously, too. Salem got in for free. Oddjob got in and stalked Lynne. All because the secruity officer was playing Last Samurai. XD

And, yeeeeh! Tables next to eachother. That would kick ass a bit more than usual. Last year, it seemed the tables did get a bit quiet from time to time so having people around at the next table would probably be a laugh.

Yeah, Baiken is the one armed samurai woman. By the way DiGi, what made the con so crazy last year?

Tasha, I'd stick with Baiken and pass on Lulu for two reasons:

1. Final Fantasy cosplay is overdone.
2. A good Lulu costume would be hard to make and I'm a firm believer that if you can't cosplay really well, don't cosplay at all.

I'm starting to lean more towards doing Yamazaki myself. For starters, I have no idea how much work it would be to get the actual Pyramid Headgear over seas. Besides, Yamazaki is fairly simple and I already have the hair-do. :(

Well, it was Scotlands first large scale Anime/Manga convention so mistakes were expected, i guess.
It wasn't organized too well in terms of venue and dates being changed, thus pissing people off. The areas within the hotel were confusing to locate at first. The con was 4 days long and the last day seemed a bit pointless because there was not a lot going on. The security, as i said, was a complete joke. Some dude claimed to be a photographer, took peoples money and ran off. Some other dude (i believe though i'm not 100% sure) stole the takings for the whole event and TRiPPY's stalker (whom i've named Oddjob because he was a complete scary ass weirdo) gave me reason to feel slightly uneasy and worried the whole damn time he was there. He tried to follow someone back to our room in order to see her in 'private'. His name tag was written as 'Nobody' and apparently he also attempted to stalk other members when he didn't get close to my girl.
Lol, that security dude really needs to go back to his day job cause he slipped up MANY times last year.

All that being said, it was fun. Just needs some fine tuning this year and it will be wicked-styles, bruv. :P

I'd love to go D: But I don't want to go on my own and I've never been to a Con in the UK. And I guess it's kinda expensive. That said I've been to the durn Animagic every year and thats like 70 euros for 3 days. Way overpriced.

Tashy is going as Baiken? :P My friend went as Baiken one year and I went as May ^^ Was my first costume! I love Guilty Gear!

omgfunnnnnn! I'm dying to see all the guys who came last time again because last year i really wanted to grab everyone in a big group and take a photo and have a NiGHTSy natter. I ended up in the pub talking about NiGHTS 2 instead with Sega person......

So i guess eitherway it worked out for the best. *lmao*

But seriously EVERYONE group photo this time ok? And lets like all claim a room/corner/corridor and just LIVE there XD

Yami i'll be selling my published stuff and merch, a couple of little NiGHTS fan things too i guess. I'd planned stuff lastyear but everything went nuts and i phailed to do anything constructive other than laugh at Salem and console a drunk man on the way home hahahaha.

I think this one will be really good because nobody really knew what to expect last time. I was nervous as hell. Now i just want to grab everyone i know and have a mad singalong XD

Zero DO PYRAMID HEAD! I DEMAND! There needs to exist a photo of NiGHTS and Pyramid head looool. So many funny images. Come to the UK~~~ we have... um... trees.

Tashy- OMGOMGOMGOMG i REALLY want to sit down and have a good chat with you this time, i felt really bad the last time that you were so nice to me and we hardly got the chance  I'm bringing the U.V plushie again! He shall protect me from fanbois. (also we'll fully charge the camcorder e_e;)

Wyld- YES. I am now hyper : D

I'd really love to go...how are you two getting there Tashy?
I just had a look at cheap flights and *glee* there is actually one that goes from Bournemouth to Glasgow! I could get that...it only takes 1,20 hours.
Auchi was at a hotel right? Is it possible to book rooms there? And how much was it for all days? (I'd look on the site but it's not up ^^")

I'm seriously considering this...hmm...I'd love to do a GoLo Reala xD

We live in Derbyshire, so we took the plane to scotland, but we could have got the train or even a coach ^^

I think it was about £250 for each of us (me and Tsu) although we went the day before the con, and left the day after and I think it was £60 to get into Auchi... erm.. I think ^_^ LOL although I think they should be posting up the new prices on the Auchi website soon enough ^^

lol, that costume killed me. It took 5 hours (no, seriously. 5 bloody hours) to dress Lynne up in that frilly purple sh!t. The boots were the final straw. I think i sort of lost all will to live by then....... was bloody worth it, though.

Now, lets leave the UV cosplay at home and never speak of it's horror again. XD

Auchi for the win. f*** it, i may sell some CD's off while i'm there. A quick few £££'s would do me and TRiP some good at the con.

Oh, and if me and Lynne get a room at the venue then i'm all for us hanging out and all that... but once bunny boy here gets a little tipsy he's gonna wanna make full use of that room which means "everybody get the hell out, i'm gonna get me some RED". XD

My friends had to go to Europe over the summer for classes and it cost them about $2200 or so. (I am not sure where there flights were. I know that eventually one ended up in Scotland and the other in Irland.) It cost me about $450 to go from TN to California every summer. Either you went in March....or it was a long time ago TRiPPY. Traveling overseas for that little bit of money is unheard of for me. Like I said before, it cost me that much just to go from one end of the US to the other. When was the last time you were in Chicago? Don't forget gas goes up every year you know.

Also...I didn't realize this comment until now. Must have been reading too fast. ;)

Lynne, darling...you went to CHi-Town in bloody 2000. I think it has perhaps slightly increased in price since then XD. Oh, and also allow me to quote UK rapper Sway when i say "The pound is stronger than the dollar. Hola!" And right now, the pound is over double so i can imagine it would be pretty expensive for our American friends here to attend. And you didn't stay in a hotel either, TRiP XD

But, yeh. There's a whole year and 4 months before it actually happens. By then we'll all have a bit of lira saved up so it's not impossible, people just need to be motivated about going. This is what went wrong last time. And, Purg. Maybe i can help you find somewhere to stay so it's easier on your wallet. I know i said i wouldn't help people again this year but i'm going to make an exception with you because i think you deserve a holiday, man. XD

Anyway, we can start to properly discuss plans once Ninja bloody Steve opens the website and we know more details.

*lol* Well then I'd better start selling bits of my soul in fish bowls so I can make money. Or... maybe commissions... *snort*
I might start working at Gamestop again soon.. I'm gonna be putting money on the side. ;) I would really like to go. I need to get myself a passport, too. And I'll stay in your garden. *lol*

I had heard of the possibility of it returning from the person I know on the team.

Glee! You can safely assume, that unless something unforeseen arises, that we'll be there.
Whether or not Salem buys a ticket, will be mostly down to Salem, at the time. Of course I think he is looking forward to getting drunk with you guys again, whilst me and Ki sit there with our Cokes, rather sheepishly.

I can't deny how fun it was, despite my cosplay being unfinished, disastrous, heavy and because of the first two, rather unrecogniseable. Although this time, Ki's been going on at me to try Wizeman....It's rather intreguing to think about, and wouldn't involve 2 hours of washing hair dye out of my hair.

I can't begin to speculate as to what your mystery costumes will be, but if they are anywhere as complex as the last one, I wish you a great deal of luck.

LMAO! Moan the Auchi!

Yes i did indeed just wander around like i owned the place :)
The security sucked and lets face it i wasn't exactly looking friendly i was in a pair o trainer's,bomber jacket, stanied jeans (was working right before) and i don't think i had shaved not to mention i always seem to have this air of "piss off" about me when ive just finished work >.> (that no one takes heed off when I'm out seriously see the weirdo's that come up and talk to me while i'm drunk its bloody unreal!) If anything the security,or lack there of, decided it was best to leave the mad bar steward alone as i sauntered passed them XD

But yes this year i'll get a ticket and if you dont get a room DiGi and TRiP your always welcome at mine i only ask that should you get jiggy with it nah nah nah nah then you allow me to film and sell for profit XD

I would like to mention that 200 over there is about 500 bucks here, give or take. (Since I don't know the exact exchange rate and I use the thought that 2 dollars = 1 pound when I ballpark stuff. XD) That's STILL stupidly cheap for international travel. It cost me nearly a 1000 bucks just for a round trip flight to Japan and back.
