I'm not at all surprised.
DLC could still be good. It takes two NiGHTS to defeat Wizeman - maybe it takes two to have super-fun race-times!?

Actually, this may mean he's a secret character. Several games feature the Ref/Guide as a secret character in one way or another (Punch Out!!, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Tooie, can't think of any others), and they could just as easily replace him with Reala as ref in that situation, or heck, just having two NiGHTS. It's not impossible, or entirely too fantastic.
Of course, it's probably still highly unlikely.

DKR had a ref? if your talking about the genie, he wasn't playable. . .right?Actually, this may mean he's a secret character. I'm pretty sure everything DiGi and TRiPPY have said indicates otherwise...

Well, at least NiGHTS has SOME representation. 
But I can't help but feel maybe SEGA added NiGHTS in as a ref at the last minute because of all the ruckus we caused... hmm...
