NiGHTS Reels

Now, firstly. How did we overlook this?
Secondly, NiGHTS encouraging gambling. Goes hand in hand, lol
Anyway, does anybody know how long this has been running? If it's a new recent game added then this makes me quite happy ...just so i know NiGHTS is still being used by the company
-edit-
It seems the game includes new animations made specially for the game. The video shows a Pian flying around and then later shows Owl flying when the player gets a row of cards. Both of those anims were not in JoD.
So Sonic Team made more NiGHTS related content for NiGHTS Reels. Interesting

More from the info page here - NiGHTS Reels info page
Lol, "Cheers to the NiGHTS!" indeed, my odd son. There is no NiGHTS, He is THE NiGHTS!! XD
Well, it's certainly nice to see NiGHTS is still being used else where within SEGA. This makes me feel a little more at ease about NiGHTS' activity in the company in general.

Also found out that the reason SEGA didn't advertise this via community team is because there are laws about advertising this kinda thing, so the community team have nothing to do with the Casino ...which is probably why we didn't know about this right away.

At least Sega is still using NiGHTS! After Sonic Adventure, it seems like NiGHTS make some money between games by gambling.

I'm loving the little animations. I would like to know how long theyve been there too, so we can see if it's a recent thing or not. How did you stumble across it DiGi?
EDiT:
To Celebrate New Year and the Launch of our New Casino Slot Game NiGHTS™ Reels, we're giving away great prizes this January 2010.
Sounds like it is new! C'mon NiGHTS!
EDiT 2: BTW, if anyone's intrested in giving it a shot, after downloading the software, you are given the option to play for just fun, no real money. No cards needed!

I must definitely give this a shot.
Gambling really suits NiGHTS, s/he's so ADHD I can see him/her being easily sucked in, bouncing from one game to the next. XD

But now I can access the site with no problems. PRETTY STRANGE.
No way am I downloading the software. I get addicted to things way too easily and I can see myself starting to "play for fun/free" and then three hours later I'll be putting my kidneys up on eBay for more spins.

Same here dude. I'll be addicted to this thing and will never leave my computer.Odd, I know that when Sega Casino first started up I couldn't access it. (It's not open to Americans AFAIK.)

In regards to the game though, is it only a one month promotion thing? I think i read somewhere it's running until the end of January so this might be on for a short time.
I'm also wondering why America can't access it. It could be due to a currency thing, perhaps this game is not set up for American dollars. Perhaps the site only pays out certain currencies. Either that or there's a law in place that won't allow the game to run in America. I'm just guessing though, i have no idea what's causing the site errors.

However, it seems the software is broken right now anyway. I can't seem to get any of the games to work at all. I've went through the support channels, and they suggested it might be their systems are in maintenance. However, you're supposed to be able to play these games offline for fun too, so surely you should the games should be there in any case. Not sure whats up. But they told me they'd e-mail me once they're out of maintanence, so fingers crossed.
I really want to give it a shot lol. Stick £5 quid in there, and then as revenge for SEGA being complete dicks about the franchise, bleed them dry using the very franchise they won't let drive a car! lol

Nope, not even that link is working for me. Wow man, wtf. This is like the internet version of NTSC/PAL. Oh well. At least I'm not much of a gambling man anyways.Guys outside the EU could try this direct link to the setup file, though I'm not sure if it'll work either.

With none of the games being clickable. I've uninstalled and re-installed countless times, made sure my flash version was fine, tried running it in compatibilty mode, yet I'm still stumped.

Thanks for the link Jof. Now we can gamble NiGHTS style.
Edit: That's weird Jof... I see everything just fine...
I live in the U.S. to boot... Getting a screenshot. Just a moment...
There we go.
Maybe if you try downloading it again? Or from a different link?

I would try but the computer we're currently using is a little slow now, poor thing. When the new comp arrives i'll try and get it installed on that.
Jof, let us know if you overcome this problem and how you done it. I'm guessing the support people have not helped much either, right?

What I'm assuming, is theres something going wrong in the installation. The setup .exe itself is only a front, once it runs it downloads what it needs to install. Maybye it's not grabbing it all for me for some reason ?
Would anyone be willing to .zip up their entire SEGA Casino folder from where they installed it, and host it somewhere like MegaUpload ? My SEGA Casino folder comes in at just under 40Mb after the install. I'd like to check if using one someone else has downloaded works.

*10 minutes later*
... Okay this is weird. I've got 33.3 MB and it works just fine. I'll go ahead and zip it all up. It won't be megaupload though. Hope you don't mind.
Edit: Sent off the link in a pm. I'd put the link in the thread, but I get the feeling that there'd be more than one download and right now it's only needed for testing purposes.

40MB? That doesn't sounds right... Including the NiGHTS Reels, there's roughly 117 - 119 MB on the disc taken up. I'd zip it up, but I couldn't even upload half that before without the WiFi going wonky and disrupting everything. The folder slots_NiGHTS20lines takes about about 17 MB and the data folder itself for the casino takes up about 111 MB. Really wish I had checked out the disc size prior to DLing NiGHTS Reels though... Ah what the heck. I'll go uninstall then reinstall it for comparison.

Thank you so much for doing this for me. Sorry to put you through the trouble. I'll download it asap and give it a shot . Upon looking at my Casino Folder, I don't even have a NiGHTS folder, so there sure as hell is something going on with my install download.
This is really strange. I replaced my files completely with the ones you provided, however the problem still exists, which makes me think it most definately must be something on my end. However, I looked through the contents and still don't see any slots_NiGHTS20lines folder. Was that in the zip?
EDiT! I finally got it working!
And I think I figured out the problem. After seeing that SmashQueen's files weren't working for me either, I figured it must be something to do with my computer alone. I noticed a few Flash files in the folders, so wondered if that could be it. However, I'd already tried re-installing the latest flash player plugins. But when I went back to the Flash download page, I noticed there were 2 different versions of flash, one for Internet Explorer, and the other for Firefox etc.
Guys, if you run into the same problem as me, download and install both. This has solved the problem for me. I must not have had the Internet Explorer version (being a sole Firefox user), which this must need to run properly.
Here's the link to both versions.
Thank you again SmashQueen for all your help!
EDiT: Yeah, it's a really cheap game when it comes to gambling real money lol. Just lost a fiver in that bad boy. Don't let the free-game version fool you. You'll win a lot more in there than in RL. It can be quite unfair at times with the double or nothing card section (where theres no chance of winning sometimes). Stick with free-play. Kids, don't gamble. Lessons are learned here the hard way : P

Sorry, didn't include the NiGHTS folder. It would have put too much stress on the uploading (less than 10 kb/sec.). Plus it was erased upon uninstalling. Ah well. Glad you got the casino working. Always happy to help out when possible. Now to just get back to the reels...later. Mwahahah...Thank you so much for doing this for me. Sorry to put you through the trouble.
