I believe he will be(yes, I believe NiGHTS is male, since the Archie Comics stated him as such)in SaSASR. In fact, I believe that the reason why he hasn't been announced yet is due to the fact that it might be a Christmas reveal, due to it being just next month, and NiGHTS has his own Christmas related game. It would be something like:
"A present for all you NiGHTS fans!"
I am here to help increase the NiGHTS fandom, and to help out in any way possible.
You might even know me as KingDedede16 on multiple sights as well.
I hope you guys welcome me with open arms!

Well, it all started when I was reading through some of the Sonic the Hedgehog archie comics, and I noticed there were NiGHTS comics as well. The story sounded cool, so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I loved them! Of course, this was a good deal of time after NiGHTS Into Dreams came out, so I didn't get the chance to play that. However, when I heard about Journey of Dreams, I got pretty excited, so I checked it out and it turned out to be one of my favorite Wii games!
I also love playing as NiGHTS in the Sonic Riders series, as well as SEGA Superstars Tennis.

If you can ever track down an inexpensive Saturn and NiD, it's worth it. NiD is a lot like the first mission of each level in JoD.

You haven't read the NiGHTS comics? They're really good.

I've read them, but they're the source of much (good natured) teasing. The first three are my favourite; the art just gets bizarre in the second part.Yeah, I'm gonna try to keep a sharp eye out for a copy of NiD.

I read the comics. I didn't like the last three so much, but the first half was an interesting take on the story. For all I joshed around with my brothers about the weird mix of over-dramatic American-style comic narrators with a dream video game (Superman + NiGHTS= Archie comics), I overall enjoyed reading the comics.

Hi there! I've always wanted to ask- Who owns the rights to you? D:
In all seriousness, welcome to the forum, and thanks for supporting the ASR effort!
Eh, SEGA has sorta forgotten me. Left me in the dust. Abandoned me. I'm sort of a lone adventurer now, and it seems like only fans have brought me back in some fangames. SEGA needs to remember how awesome I am. As for now, I belong to no one.

Kinda like NiGHTS then
Well, at least NiGHTS got a game for Wii. Mighty will probably never return in a Sonic game ever again...

Never say never If you give up all hope then it's not worth being a fan. Keep hoping man, i went 11 years without another NiGHTS game. Didn't stop hoping nomatter how impossible or far, and then years later, I'm an adult and a game finaly arrives XD; It's a shame it didn't happen when i was still a kid, but still, a game is a game.
Mighty is different, though. He was never included in Sonic Heroes for a reason. He wasn't as popular as the other Chaotix(sadly ), and SEGA thought his traits and how he looks is similar to that of Sonic. I'm not seeing it, but thats what SEGA believes. Y'know, if he does come back, then thats awesome, but I don't think SEGA really cares for the poor Armadillo anymore...
Sorry for the double post, but I thought I'd mention something extra:
Mighty was part of SEGA even before Sonic the Hedgehog came to being. In fact, Mighty was a prototype character that was going to be used before Sonic, but Sonic was later chosen instead. He then later appeared in an Arcade game called SegaSonic Arcade, which featured Sonic the Hedgehog, Ray the Squirrel, and Mighty the Armadillo. Later, he was included as a Chaotix member in Knuckles Chaotix. You can actually find more info on Wikipedia, as well as on:
http://www.knuckleschaotix.info
That site has lots of info on the Chaotix. Its really cool.

I think SEGA care, they just have a lot of problems with his ownership.
Ownership problems? He's a Sonic character, so there wouldn't be any ownership issues, correct? I mean, he still appears a lot in the comics.

Still, Mighty belongs to SEGA. I mean, he was in SegaSonic Arcade, and Knuckles Chaotix, both SEGA games, and SEGA created him, so there wouldn't be ownership problems. The comics have nothing to do with SEGA.

This makes a lot of sense. I just hope this error gets fixed so I can play Knuckles Chaotix on a TV Screen with a controller in my hand. I just wish I could find the actual 32x Adaption as well as the actual Knuckles Chaotix game...Sonic CD and Sonic R used their PC versions as SEGA couldn't emulate the CD and Saturn.
