Hey boys and girls, Machenstein's back. You might remember me from all that JoD buzz back in 2007. I remember TRAViS and Roam well from the chats we had. I also remember the big names in this forum: TRiPPY, DiGi, Purgatory, Jof, Martijingamer, Niraven and even those like YamiLover, Meggiemaccat and Louis. Don't think I've forgotten about all you. I'm always a NiGHTS fan, even if JoD did turn out somewhat of disappointment for many. No hard feelings though. I've returned just to assure you all I haven't abandoned NiGHTS.

So what has happened during the months I've been gone? Yeah there was a PS2 remake and it's a shame it isn't coming outside Japan, what else has there been? Any word on another NiGHTS? Sorry, I've been too preoccupied with Sonic Unleashed and Mega Man 9 stuff since I'm also a fan of both series. It's nothing personal, I'm just active wher'ever there's activity.

Anyhoo, no news on a new NiGHTS (both unfortunately and thankfully) but have ya heard of the other new Sonic game yet? Sonic: and the Black Knight (or something like that) But, like Unleashed, despite being a fan of the Sonic series I don't have high hopes for either...

What do yo mean? If you're referring to JoD, that game didn't ruin much for me. I just didn't like how everything transpired back in December. The game could have been received better and it could have come out on a better time. I say "a better time" because... well, it's too personal to bring up here. I just hope that when another NiGHTS game comes, it comes out on a less depressing time.

I was also billing JoD to cast a better light on Sonic Team after so many years of negative press. Whether or not you liked JoD, you have to admit it didn't do much justice for NiGHTS nor the former Sonic Team. It's 2008 now and nothing's changed. Same negativity, different year.

On a lighter note, thanks for welcoming me back. I decided to revisit this forum because I saw the PS2 NiGHTS in action and it looks amazing. I really want it and I hope there's a way I could somehow play it. Have any of you made an effort to get SEGA to release it outside Japan? I know petitions don't work, but it would be nice to know if SEGA has considered anything. It wouldn't surprise me if they haven't though.

I've got it (I live in the states) and its really worth it! I hope that you can somehow manage to play. We got a slip disc so that we could play imports, it isn't really that expensive. If you have a big PS2 I recommend it.
