Since the NiGHTS 3 rumor thread sparked quite a bit of controversy and discussion for both sides of the issue, I'm kinda curious where people's stances are on the whole for what a new NiGHTS game are.

I personally want another NiGHTS game, with core gameplay far closer to the original.

I voted for the second option because it is what i would like to see most...without them writing over NiD itself, of course.

The controversy that got sparked up in the other thread however leads me to believe we will not see that option.
I would love to see a new NiGHTS game but only if it will be done properly with the fanbase in mind and i don't think that is ever going to happen. Perhaps they shouldn't make another game. It could be for the best.

  • Interests:I like NiGHTS, Sonic games, the Nightmare Before Christmas (I wonder what would happen if Oogie and Reala met... hmmmm.....) Writing, drawing, art in any way, shape, or form, hard rock music, dancing wildly even though I can't dance for crap. I write poetry and lyrics (although they're not very good T__T) and comedy movies. I love the Dreamcast podcast that DiGi and TRiPPY put on. I also enjoy thinking outside the box. I'm what is known as a Meathead. I can laugh at myself, think outside the box, and smile. Meatheads are smarter than your average Joe, with much more common sense and the rare ability to find creative solutions to problems. My idol is a man named Jimmy Dolittle. Look him up ^.~
Well, seeing as how I have a 3D animation program on my computer, and I can make those animations interactive if I so desire, basically....

I can make the next NiGHTS. Y'know. If I had enough time, enough motivation, and enough almonds in a big jar.

I already have a script. Therefore I picked the third option. XD

I, personally, agree with DiGi.

I, too, would like to say that the second option is best, but is unlikely to happen.

As an avid fan, I don't think they'll EVER listen to us. To get us to shut up, they'd either to have to make fifty-million individual games, or include everyones fanmaren. Fat chance of that.

I'm going to have to vote for the second one, since I actually liked the Ideya capture gameplay. However, I wouldn't complain if the new game had both Ideya capture and mission based elements and didn't vernture too far from the original "feel" of the story.
