While a lot of people miss Jackle because he was simply so cool, I think our new Chameleon boss looks really promising. I love the Mad Hatter look and the fact that, c'mon guys, it's a chameleon. Chameleons are awesome and I can't think of the last Chameleon I saw in a game looking that sweet. It could have been a lot worse. The boss could have been a giant tarot card intent on giving you paper cuts. Simply put I like the fact that Journey of Dreams is following the outline of NiD, yet not entirely limiting itself to the original game. It gives us something new to see, play, and enjoy.

Thats one way of putting it... But remember that this guy has no teeth and most of his body is covered with cloths. Well...from what we can see at least. He may or may not have pants for all we know. O.O But unless his cloths turn invisible too then he won't be that much like Jackle. Actually...thats going to look really odd if the only thing turning invisible are his hands, feet, and face. T_T That doesn't sound too bright. Oh well, I won't know till I see it.

Gotta admit, I do kinda miss Classic Jackie. But I'm glad they haven't done another clone! Whenever I imagined a sequel all these years, I wondered what the new Maren bosses would look like. I'm all for new designs, and let's be honest, how many lizards have we seen wearing top hats? XD

And on a note of personal interest... many NiGHTS ago, I had a dream wherein another version of Jackle appeared, wearing all white - and A TOP HAT. XD I'm sorry, that's too cool, and only makes me like Lizzie even more!

Now to hunt down the new mag! Luckily, it seems I'm the only NiGHTS fan in town - just pre-ordered the game yesterday, and I'm the first... T3T

Jackle was cool.

....but...I don't think I'll miss him too badly.
The way I see it, its new children and therefore new imaginations. New dreams, new nightmares, new fears.

It could be that one of these kids is more afraid of lizards, due to a zoo-related accident, which recurred when a magician pulled one out of a hat during a circus act, instead of being afraid of an invisible grinning psychopath, card-slinging magician wearing nothing but a hat, gloves and boots. (Feasible, but that'd be one MESSED UP kid. XD)

Either way, I fear the fight with this guy...I can imagine it will turn completely invisible (clothes and all) and warping about the stage.

Anyway, I'm jsut LOVING the details put into these bosses so far, can't wait to see the rest.

I think I might have an answer (at least for me; I don't know about everyone else). I don't like that bulgy, elephantine nose of his. I also don't think he was meant to be liked, though, like what some people are saying. As a matter of fact, despite the Jackleish vibe I'm getting, as well (and I've only been a fan for under a week, which must mean the vibe's pretty dang strong for the rest of you), I seriously doubt he's replacing Jackle. Wasn't Jackle the third-to-last boss in the game (I apologize if I'm mistaken; I just assume that since he's so close to Reala and NiGHTS in design that he was most likely the boss just before Reala)? This guy is the... *counts on fingers* Mr. Shogun Fishy... patchwork clown pincushion ...third boss we've heard about so far (that I recall), and there's going to be at least seven (from my recollection *ish too sleepy-lazy to go to the news part of the website and check anything* ), so I personally think there might be room for Jackle to possibly turn up if there's any remaining chance of him turning up (which I understand is considered none at the moment). Getting back on the subject of Mr. Chameleon, I've been wondering if they're going to make him have a crazy-long tongue that shoots out of his mouth, because he looks like he's probably a squat character, and squat characters don't move around so well, so he'd need a host of ranged attacks to make up for his potential lack of mobility.

Blubbers... I apologize if I don't make sense - I woke up at 5:00 this morning and set about trying to figure out whether or not daylight savings time has happened yet (because the U.S. seems to have decided to change it this year, according to my internet trawlings).

Perhaps my fondness for reptiles and my personal derams are coming into play, but if so, that's just me then. In a more general sense, I'm liking this new guy! Like Golden Charm said, one of the kids may have a fear of lizards. Wouldn't our clever little Jackle use that to his advantage?

Maybe it's him in another form - maren DO shape-shift after all, do they not? - and maybe it's not. Either way, I like him.

Kind of reminds me of the Stealth Sneak from Kingdom Hearts, the boss of Deep Jungle (aka the Tarzan world).

We already have scans now so no worries.

(A tiff file is an image format. Its very common for scanners to scan a file into this. A lot of photographs are in this format. Its not a compressed image format like jpeg either, so it has a very large file size. If you have Photoshop you can open it and convert it to a different format. Go to wikipedia and look up more info on it if you need to find a different program to convert it.)

Cheers for the better scan. The Chameleon is looking even better. For some reason he makes me think of psychonauts (The card world in particular), his costume is brilliant.
