Well the problem is that you can sit there practicing against the level 9 computer all day but you will never actually get better. Human players are very different from the computers.

I agree, but even so you should be able to handle an enemy sitting in one spot using only one attack be it human or not...

I use a linksys as well but I do not use satalite... than again Lewiston's not exactly known for fast internet... we're just barely within range...

Satalite is a bit faster than dial up but slower than DSL.......or so I heard.

Well camping seems to work a lot of the time oddly enough. In fact, spamming and camping is what everyone does in Brawl now. True, if you do the same thing all the time then you SHOULD be able to find a way around it most of the time. It depends on character match ups sometimes though. (Like Olimar and Pikachu camping can be avoided but I sure as hell have a hard time doing it as Meta Knight.)

Camping, unless if your playing Meta Knight is usually going to be the most effective thing that you can do in Brawl, and some characters camping games are to get around. Like Pit and Snake's.

Here is an example of how Lucas uses his PK fire for a good camping game.
Get in around med. range and use PK fire.
Run away a little and jump, and fire another PK fire at them.
If they are still trying to chase you, turn around and
Repeat
Kill with Forward Smash.

I've played the game and got all the other characters. Played the game thoroughly with each character and i can honestly say some of the new characters suck major balls, Olimar and Diddy Kong being the main wankers of the bunch. Even Ike is a bit too sluggish for my liking.

However, Snake, Sonic, ZeroSuit Samus and Meta Knight all win super cool points because they play wonderfuly. Pit is also a lovely addition to the roster. Pokemon Trainer ain't too bad either.

And camping means what exactly? Spamming one move over and over again?

OLIMAR? Um no....you must not be using him right. Olimar can be a downright nightmare sometimes! Though this is usually when you camp. Diddy Kong isn't too bad but takes a LOT of practice. That goes for any character. I have seen someone own with Yoshi....YOSHI! Ike is just.....blah. I am so sick of seeing that guy.

Well both Meta Knight and Snake seem to be the top used tourney characters....so I would say YAY they are pretty good. Though I like MK for other reasons. Pit is easy to use. A bit too easy...but easy. I envy you if you can use Zero Suit Samus right. I still can't and I want to. But I can't play as Samus worth sh!t so I might as well forgot that.

Camping is when is sit in one spot and use the same moves. This usually prevents someone from ever being touched. Olimar for instance can sit there and throw Pikman at you and if you get close to him, there is a Smash attack that will shock you and send the opponent flying. Even the pros do it now since there is no OMG wavedash. :/ Pikachu can do the same thing and many other things, thus making him one of the most ANNOYING damn characters in the game.

You one of the people that complained about wave dashing in Melee?
What does wave dashing do? Moves you forward and lets you do a smash or tilt right out of the movement, broken? I don't think so. And the button combination is simple, Up --> air dodge toward the ground.
There are a lot more messed up stuff in Brawl.

I never owned Melee or the first game. (I played them but never owned them) So of course I never learned such a move nor did I ever take either game seriously. I am sorta the same way with Brawl. Its just a game......HAVE FUN. Also if wave dash was so great and a meaningful part of the game then I don't think they would have taken it out. It sounds like an odd trick or glitch that the creators didn't notice at first. Or maybe they didn't realize it would separate the casual players from the pro players as much as it did. Also...it looks so retarded. I'm sorry but what the heck?! It just doesn't seem right.

Anyway to answer the question....no I did not complain about it since I never knew it existed till I got Brawl and talk to some people. Then they said, "OMG no wavedash" Thats when I found out.

Sorry if I seem like a Tourney hater or something. But a lot of the ones I ran into a very rude and mean. They tend to believe that if you suck at the game (not as good as them) then you should not be playing it AT ALL. To top it all off, they suck all the fun out of the game.

I played against a few....not items and FD all the f*!*ing time! How boring is that?!

Lets brake the sentence, No items, Fox only, FD.
Some items could kill you at less than 30%, which sucks out some of the fun, the flipper easily kill you if you tried to recover.

Fox only, I'm pretty sure that even though Fox was usually said to be the best, Marth was easier to learn, so screw Fox.

Some characters suck at FD, so that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.

Yes some items are cheap. (I hate the Dragoon thing.) I will admit, I don't mind having not items or leaving out some of them sometimes. But I hate doing that ALL the time.

I can't say much about Fox since I never had that problem before.

I guess I must have gotten stuck with the real weirdo tourny player then. He would never accept playing on a level that is not tourney acceptable.

ahh wave dashing... alot of my friends were ticked after they fixed that stuff in brawl... no more SHFFL no more L cancel, no more Morph ball dash, no more wave shine... but if you need to rely on these glitches (not so much L cancel) ta win a fight (regardless of the skill required to pull em off) then your better off loosing on fair grounds (btw if you don't know what SHFFLing is... it's a very advanced technique that can, if used correctly, end a 5 stock match in under 50 sec.)

yup... all gone I just today beat all the events on hard mode (I did not enjoy beating event 41 on hard ALL OVER AGAIN!)
I think it may have had something to do with the big thunderstorm I had here...

jeez... that sucks... happened to me too on Melee... i lost all the data saved over the years.... the only thing i can remember clearly from what was lost, was that it had over 13,000 matches...

anyways, my friend code is in my sig... along with some stages i made for brawl...

i added everyone.... but for some reason i haven't been able to get ONE match for months! (is my connection really that bad!?)
bah... im gonna have to get a Wii usb LAN adapter soon...

I ask because I finally got a copy today. So if anyone around here is still "active", I'd be willing to swap friend codes.

I'll warn you, though, I'm a very casual player. I have been since the first game on the N64. I'm told I have a fair amount of skill, but I really don't care to analyze the game like so many people out there seem to do. I just play.

Oh, and my top characters are Zero Suit Samus, Zelda/Sheik, Sonic, and Luigi. Just in case you were wondering.
