It basically send the slow descent of quality in FF to a strait plummet into death!
It went from touching romantic Fantasy...
To a Japan version of Charlies Angels...

Also, in Sonic R whenever I get the grey emerald in Reactive Factory as Sonic, Knuckles PASSES ME RIGHT BEFORE I WIN! PWN YOU KNUX! PWN YOU TO HECK!
Yet ANOTHER, in Sonic Unleashed, sometimes I will attempt a Homing Attack, only for Sonic to fall from the level. And I CAN'T get past the 'Save Yasmine' Mission even WITH Sonic Speed and Ring Power Leveled up to their fullest!
Edit: And HOW could I forget STICK CANYON'S 4th MARE! HATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATE...Hate.

I love the Lunar games. I have the first two for Sega CD, the first remake for PS1, and even "Magical School Lunar" for Saturn. But this was a game that did not even TRY being good.
1) Lunar games normally depend on building strong characterizations. This game has paper thin characters. The story line is just an empty regurgitation of the story from the first two games. (Become a dragonmaster, save your magical girlfriend from the evil dude)
2) When you run, your HP goes down (and will not go back up by "resting" or anything). This is ok after leveling up a lot but is a really craptastic "feature" for a large part.
3) Enemies can destroy your equpitment in combat. When this happens, there is no way to get it repared so you are basically instantly out of several tens of thousands of silver. And until you buy more equipment this means that character's attack or armor goes to hell.
4) In combat you have to CHOOSE if you want to get little worthless items or if you want XP. Those items are pretty much the only way to make money and the XP is the only way to level up. This makes things VERY tedious as you can be fighting monsters for an hour attempting to level up only to find you have no money to buy new equipment and have to go out to kill those monsters again.
5) The only way to REALLY make money is to take those worthelss items you gain from monsters and deliver them to people as a job. Basically walk from town A to town B. Repeat this to make lots of money. A WASTE OF TIME!
6) Combat is slooooow. PAINFULLY slow. There is a button to speed things up 3x but even still I find myself trying to read a magazine while playing or something because it is SO DULL!
7) There are maybe 10 enemies that just get recolored as you go through the game. This does not make combat more exciting.
8) At one point, our halfwit hero decides that the healer of the group "has taken him far enough and can go back", kicking her out. You get new party members soon but not a healer. Because I had not been stocking way up on healing items, I then had to walk all the way back through the large dungeon the healer had taken me far enough away from in order to buy healing items before I could go farther. LAME.
I could go on but this is enough for this thread. And I have a stomach for J-RPGs! I beat Final Fantasy I & II, also Dragon Warrior/Quest I & II. Those are tedious but not as bad as Lunar DS.
What is really sad is that I PRE-ORDERED this game over three years ago and still have not beaten it. I still play it from time to time out of morbid determination before getting pissed off and playing something fun. I don't even have much left, just defeat one dragon and then the last boss I think. Maybe I should do that today so I can put this game on my shelf and never think about it ever again.

As an intrigued little girl, I did some searching, and found the ROM for Zero Wing.
It took me a few months to get through, huzzah for save-states, but I got to the last stage and gave it my all. I felt heroic, I felt valiant.. I'd gotten that last shot in, and boom! no more end-guy.
So, naturally, I'm expecting
I still lose sleep over it some nights.

Below post reminded me of when I was trying to get 100% in Panzer Zwei to get perfect lagi and before I could complete the last stage 100% my battery died again and I lost the file. I really should have bought a memory cart

4) Eggman in SA's constant "TAKETHATTAKETHATGETALOADOFTHIS"
5) How dern impossible super mario kart is. I'm pathetic, eh?

1- (since it's worst gaming moments, i'm going to take card games into consideration as well.) in magic the gathering when you either have no mana or have no spells.
2- cannon's core level in SA2. originally, i had to have a friend's older brother beat it for me...
3- accidentally hitting the "help" or whatever it was button on the menues in sonic heroes, and being forced to listen to omochao.
4- gathering the chaos emeralds in sonic heroes
5- trying to "snag" an entire pokemon team in either colliseum or gale of darkness.
6- sky road (or babylon garden) in sonic riders
7- getting all the dragon eggs and light gems in spyro: a heroes tail
8- losing a legendary/one-time pokemon because it used struggle when it only had one HP (happened to me with regirock back in sappire version)
9- having nothing but garbage blocks all the way to the top of the screen in tetris attack
10- tutorial modes that you have to sit through, even though you've played the game a million times before...
i could probably keep going on and on, but i'll stop for now...

I must add my 2 cents worth. Or Euros. Or Lyra. Or Yen. Or whatever currency you use!
2. I got all the power ups (I have an unhealthty obsession with the Sonic Adventure games). It really helps.
3. I love Omochao. Honestly. I almost cried when my firend killed it in SA2.
4. It was like Sonic 2, but even more eeeeeeevillllllllllll
5. I love Gale of Darkness. My tip- waste all your money on the strong balls. Tis how I got everyone. (and my level 100 espeon)
6. That track is full of doomydoom
8. Argh. I so agree.
9. I hate garbage blocks in *real* tetris. THEY JUST WON'T DIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!!
10. Hi, I'm Omochao. I'm here to help you. Hoo, ah, visitor.

Game Over in Legend of Zelda 2 when you're about to level up, losing all experience points you just got.
Barely losing to Ingo in the 2nd horse race in Ocarina of Time (on the Wii). That's the first time in a long time that I screamed at a game.

Man, I at first saw what was hard about Babylon Garden in Sonic Riders, but after about 3 tries, it was pretty easy. =/
eh, for me it's more sky road than babylon garden that's giving me the trouble. which kinda sucks, because i want to see how good NiGHTS is in sonic riders.

In fact I still wish Sega made alternate difficulty settings...

1. Playing Where's Waldo for the NES... no explanations needed...
2. My Pokemon Yellow crashing and making me lose all of my poor babies and a Pokedex with about 142 entries
3. My sister accidentally saving over my first Pokemon game just days after getting a Mew
4. Running off to announce my success in beating Eggman in SA only to come back and find that he crashed his aircraft into the platform Sonic was standing on, thus starting the whole boss fight over.
5. Somehow driving off of the track on F-Zero (I forgot which one it was)
6. Not having enough allowance at the time to buy a Saturn so that I can play NiD
7. Not bringing an Escape Orb in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and running into two Monster Houses in a row
8. Not having a detailed map for the Water Temple on Ocarina of Time
9. Running into one of the blacklist PK's while having a ridiculously low level (.hack//G.U.)

I find zero gravity much easier than the first. I have no idea why, I just do.
I too wish for alternate difficulty, but probably for the opposite reason that you do.
I find muting the game and playing some nice, relaxing music helps alot.

To a Japan version of Charlies Angels...
That actually sounds really awsome to me. "Angels, I have a missions for you..."
Here's some more-
- Chao in Sonic Adventure. They're so confuzing!
- Chao *faces* in Sonic Adventure 2. How can a chao with no special features and a chao with closed eyes spawn a chao with fangs?! *explodes*
- How in Sonic Shuffle, the cpu's always steal my "S" cards, and never my 1's!!!
- The personality quizes in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. I wanna be eevee, not psyduck.

- Zelda Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass being only shreds of what the Zelda games used to be.
- The new Banjo-Kazooie game for XBox360(yeah right, driving vehicles through gigantic levels is neat, but the platform games just had a whole lot more charm)
- Everything Shark-related in Ecco: Defender of the Future>.<

I'm guessing that stuff about dominant and recessive genes. Something about DNA and all that jazz. Not too sure since I slept through those lessons in 8th grade.- Chao *faces* in Sonic Adventure 2. How can a chao with no special features and a chao with closed eyes spawn a chao with fangs?! *explodes*
Fail moments on my part:
-Letting an old high school friend borrow Kingdom Hearts and later finding out he moved to Pennsylvania the next week
-Buying Tomb Raider: AoD (cringe)
-Beating RE4 on Professional only later to accidentally delete the file

1. Who cares about the ancestors of chao?! Heck, perhaps they don't have genes at all...they do mate by rubbing noses...
2. That is...evil. I never let anyone borrow my games following the time my Super Smash Bros Melee info sponatneously disappeared and Brawl was gone for nearly a month.

On the subject of Phantom Hourglass, the massive slow-down from the giant keys was terrible. From what I remember, there were few--if any at all--enemies that attacked on the way to the keyhole, so it wasn't even an extra challenge, just an annoying thing to drag the game out longer.- Zelda Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass being only shreds of what the Zelda games used to be.

1. This was self-inflicted: I was at the World that Never Was in Kingdom Hearts 2, and I decided to take a little break from trying to pick off Organization XIII. I opened up an old file and started playing in Halloweentown pt.2. And I SAVED OVER my furthest file! *headdesks*
2. Pokemon Yellow. I never really did figure out that the Surf HM was in the Safari Zone (typically you get them by beating the gym leaders, and I did that. There was absolutely no hints leading to the Safari Zone!) until I'd given up on it... XD
3. My little sister's Hello Kitty game, whatever it was: for some reason, I was supposed to throw a party and when I was getting supplies it seemed like all I had was squid tacos. >.<'
That's all I can think of for right now.

1) Dying against random monsters in the 'tutorial' dungeon in Dawn of the New World...twice. (My roomate was laughing at me non-stop)
2) The Egg Quarters level in SA2Battle. HATE!
3) I got motion sick while fighting heartless in Hallow Bastion in the first Kingdom Hearts.
4) "You know what they say, the more the merrrier!"

How bad was this game's collision detection? For some reason these programmers decided that you won't slip off of a platform only if yer in the dead center, which is apparently measured in sub-atomic particles as this is JUST NOT POSSIBLE.

I was given a Harry Potter game for the Gameboy Color. The first level was the Dursley's house, and I had to fight lamps and vacuum cleaners. They were IMPOSSIBLE to beat with the spells they gave you!
