But it's weird that the wii version of Nights will show up on the PS2 version of the game as well....

Well, the fact that this is a PS2 game and a Wii game makes me very nervous, indeed. How many of those games have turned out well?

Also, I never touched the original, do not like the whole concept of the game, and really doubt that this game will amount to much more than the original, which had a decent system going, but a colossal learning curve. At least, that is what I heard.

I rented the first game. It indeed has a very steep learning curve and very high difficulty. And all the AI knows all the shortcuts. I hope they fixed what was wrong in the sequel...

i liked the first game, i wasn't too fond of the voices though... 'cept knuckls' and tails'

XD Oh dear heavens. Everyone makes fun of that accent!

That is a good question, though... I also hope SEGA does a good job with the voices this time around.
From past experience, it seems they're using way too many different voice actors for the same character. It's rather unnerving to put down one Sonic game, pick up another, and suddenly have everybody's voices change.

Regardless, I can't wait to see NiGHTS in this game! ;D He/she looks awesome so far.
Although...what ride gear, indeed?

I would but I don't have a Wii or a DS. *is pwn'd by Sonic fans* I used to have a DS but it got stolen in the locker room at school X__x

I happened to love sonic riders. But I like steep learning curves =/

I hope this game is just as hard. I can deal with alittle bit easier, or a little bit harder, but I hope it doesnt change a whole lot.

I picked up the original a couple days ago because of this thread, so far I like it. I have yet to unlock NiGHTS... but that's only a matter of time ^_^ I'm glad the general opinion of the game is that it's hard... otherwise I'd feel like a noob. took me 15 tries on each course to get through story mode. lol NiGHTS should get special shoe type gear that makes him fly normally, too bad that's unlikely... not sure how that would handle cornering. As far as aerial tricks tho, he could easily just do his normal acrobatics.

You have to beat a lot of missions. Trust me, he's worth it. He has the highest speed for all flight types. Now, new screens time.

How do you unlock NiGHTS in the original? I've looked around and can't find how to do it anywhere and I want to SO badly.


I think you have to pass all the missions for storm, wave AND jet to unlock all the other hidden chars. not with golds, just with bronze

I've already unlocked everything in sonic riders, super sonic is a BIG let down, trust me.

But nights is sweet! i like using the skate gear too with him, so that he can grind AND fly!

You're right MAiKU. Super Sonic was a big letdown. All that time and work just to have to deal with the hassle of collecting rings. The saddest part was that SS's top speed was 181. I appreciate them keeping true to the Super Sonic formula but they could have broken the rules for the game.

Anyway, I will be purchasing this when I have enough money. I already know I won't be playing as Silver simply because I don't even consider him important at all. I'm hoping this one will be even better than original.

That and the fact I can win with NiGHTS and I wonder how he reacts to that. I just wonder if NIGHTS will be a sore winner. He seems like the kind of guy who will kind of milk a victory.

Then you'll all be happy to know that NiGHTS is the tallest character in SR: ZG. He's a little taller than Eggman, and he looks REALLY funny when he's skating. Also, he has a wierdo life-support thing on his chest.

aww man, i sure had an easier time with nights in the first Riders games.

The second version is alright i suppose. Nights does look differen't height wise, and the dissapointing thing to me was that Nights didn't have a voice!!!!! i mean.. c'mon we all know He/She talked in the the wii game.

The ride gear is awesome though. ;) very jewel like.

Oh and if you want greater chances of using nights' attack item then just use the angel/devil ride gear and make sure it turns into angel, you get a greater chance of getting the attack item even though you're in first place. But only if the gear turns into the angel version.
