AAAAARGH! IF ONLY MY CAR HADN'T DIED! I would buy these and put the NiGHTS one back on there....
I sold some stuf I didn't want anymore on Ebay and raised the cash for them (couldn't pass up the chance of my very own Reala! ) I will be putting one of the NiGHTS keychains back on there soon once they arrive
Woot! The Saturn came in today and it felt good to be able to play NiGHTS on the saturn again.
There's nothing like playing NiGHTS on the Saturn Hope you got a 3d pad, it's the best! Congrats on winning it all! One of the best things is waiting for the postman to bring stuff, it's so exciting!
I use Adobe Photoshop to color my art -- and the way I went about doing the hair on Sanity wasn't something I was originally aiming to try. Most of the time on the picture was spent on the hair -- unusual for my art style. In fact, 'Jack of Spades' is closer to my usual method.
But for Sanity, I was trying to go for a semi-realistic piece, and started on a whim, originally wanting to play around with ideas for eyes and hair. What I ended up with wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but...
Unfortunately, there is no real process, because I did it randomly. I can try to put together an image tutorial, though -- but I've never done that before, so it might be vague.
I use Photoshop to colour too, I'm definitely still a rookie with it though. Though I'm definitely better with that than with pencils and pens.
Even if it wasn't what you had in mind for the hair originally, I still think it looks gorgeous! Oh, and your new pic is wonderful too
I love the sound of bagpipes.
There's just something about the sound that makes me feel all dreamy and floaty. The sound brings me the feeling of cold mist too for some reason.
I might just be weird though
Murasaki Doku, you either need a JPN PS2, or a 'modded' US/PAL PS2, either indenpence exploit or a mod chip or using a swap disc.
Charlie, no multiple dreamies are in! It surprised me to be honest. Havent tried them in Xmas Nights yet (though they are definitely out on the original xmas)
Amy, I'm so sorry, i didnt realise there was already a thread about this Mods, if you want to delete/combine?
I thought I was the one to post in the wrong place, not you *blushes*
Well, I spent a couple of hours on it last night. I found out a few things about it:
You need to finish NiD to unlock Christmas NiGHTS.
There is no presents section on it, the christmas present gallery pictures are in with the normal picture gallery. I unlocked the nightopian collection by playing it through again, so I'm assuming that the other presents like Sonic etc need to be unlocked this way (not definite about that though)
Christmas NiGHTS is (as far as I can see) only playable in the new polished graphics mode and not the SegaSaturn mode.
Also, when you complete the levels in the Brand new mode, you also unlock them in SegaSaturn mode so you don't need to do it twice.
I haven't had chance to play it since, so I haven't got anything extra to add to this yet
The fantastically obscure "Better than A Dream" by Mike Batt (of "Bright Eyes" fame)
I used to dream myself to somewhere else each night,
I dreamed in colour, 'cause I lived in black and white,
Until I chanced upon this road that led to you,
I could not see, how anything could be...
Better than a dream, stranger than my wild imagination,
If this is a real sensation
It's better than a dream.
Higher than the moon, hazy like a beautiful illusion,
Crazy and in confusion
And better than a dream.
I used to wish I was beyond some distant door,
I knew there must be more to life and now I'm sure.
No dreams of pirate caves, or Indian braves,
or magic carpets could,
ever be this good.
Better than a dream, stranger than my wild imagination,
If this is a real sensation
It's better than a dream.
Higher than the moon, hazy like a beautiful illusion,
Crazy and in confusion
And better than a dream.
Higher than the moon, hazy like a beautiful illusion,

Have a nice time playing it and please put some photos for some of us that dont have it.
I bet you got the soundtrack ordered too like me.
Thank you! I will put some pics up later today if I can get my camera to work.. Sadly, I haven't ordered the soundtrack yet. My car has decided to die and we're saving like mad to try and get another one, so won't be able to get it for ages, even though I really want it Hope you enjoy it though
I got my copy today (it must have been shipped early or something, thanks Play Asia! )
I have to say I'm verrrry impressed by the improved graphics (it still looks good even on my big telly) and having played Spring Valley and Splash Garden, I can say, it feels very nice to play too.
After the start screen, there are options for:
The tarted up version,
The original Saturn version,
A selection marked ???????? which I'm assuming is Christmas NiGHTS but I'm not sure untill I unlock it (I only had about 20 mins on it this afternoon)
Gallery options etc can't remember exactly right now
The menus are mostly in English so that dosen't pose a problem
either.
Well worth importing, especially as it comes with the beautiful book!
I love your pictures and your colouring is amazing! Especially on Sanity.
Maybe you should do a tutorial on colouring hair for the less able *cough*people like me*cough*
