It's the 5th of July so you know what that means! That's right, It's NiGHTS' Anniversary today, the 20th one no less. We've been celebrating over on Twitter here and so far people have shared some incredible artwork and other creative projects. We've also got a 5 page NiGHTS into Webcomics Anniversary Special up here with a follow up 3 pages next week. It's been great to see so much fan celebration through social media, even if SEGA themselves have done next to nothing. But then that's always been the way, hasn't it? 
You wonderful fans have always been the ones to carry the torch for NiGHTS so take this chance to reminisce and reflect on how much you've all accomplished for NiGHTS over the years. How are you celebrating the occasion, it's not every day the NiGHTS franchise hits the big 2-0!

NightsOCclub on DeviantART has organised a competition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "NiGHTS into Dreams…" Details can be found here but the gist is entrees design a Logo for said 20th Anniversary and the winning entrant gets a T-Shirt with their design on it! However, the competition needs 8 more entrees to actually run, so it'd be fantastic if we could all enter The deadline is the 5th of July, so get those designs in before then for your chance to win!

So this was certainly a surprise to catch on Facebook this morning! Alex Davis is the owner of First4Figures, the company who recently released the NiGHTS statue we scrambled for. To see him posting this is VERY reassuring that a Reala statue is on the cards. I figured I'd ask you, the NiGHTS fans what pose you'd like best for Reala to be in. Is the pictured one okay or do you want something else? As far as the design is concerned however, I'm pretty sure they'll be going with the JoD appearance as well!
EDIT: we have a poll running on Twitter for the next two days here in regards to the pose of the statue, be sure to take part!

Hi guys, hope you all had a good time over the holidays! New Year's Eve is just around the corner, bringing 2015 to a close. I like to think it was a success for the site, I got a fair chunk of stuff fixed and started the NiGHTS into Webcomics series. MidniteandBeyond also supplied us with a walkthrough of both "NiGHTS into Dreams…" and "Christmas NiGHTS" the latter of which is now available in the same location in the Gameplay section!
SEGA Symphony had an entire act dedicated to NiDs music, which I'm still hoping to hear haha! NiGHTS also featured twice in special events for Sonic Runners this year, showing that Sonic Team won't be forgetting NiGHTS any time soon
First4Figures revealed their magnificent NiGHTS statue this year as well, which is actually something I'd like to talk about just now. See the plan was, I was going to save up and buy myself one of these statues, and then buy two to give away on this site. Reality unfortunately had other plans, and ultimately I had to limit it to only 1 statue to give away here. Sadly, now it's looking like I won't be able to afford this one either, and even the one for myself is a bit touch and go just now. I was originally going to post here saying that I was going to have to cancel getting one for the site but this really irked me as I hate promising stuff and not delivering, I'm even on verbal record on RadioSEGA's SEGALounge talking about it.
Then I got thinking, what if there was a way the community could help out, since it's for a community event? I thought briefly of asking for donations but shut that down straight away. So I've thought of a way that I can work for the money needed for the giveaway statue, and the community can help me out with it as well. Commissions!
I'm offering full colour digital images of whatever fictional character you can think of. These will be of the same quality as the images I post here (though if I'm being paid I dare say I'll even up the ante)! Other examples of my work can be found here.
The price for a single character is £30, with additional characters being an extra £10 each. The background is included in the price. I'm totally ripping myself off here but I'm happy to do it as long as I can raise the funds to get a statue that will be then given away to one of you. It's a romantic thought isn't it, the community pulling together to create their own events? I like to think so haha. If you are interested in a commission space email me at "[email protected]" and I'll be in contact about whether or not a space is available (I don't want to bite off more than I can chew, I may have to do this in waves haha).

Well I wasn't expecting this! Sonic Runners updates today, allowing people to earn 3 new buddies; Christmas NiGHTS, a Christmas Nightopian and The Red Ideya of Courage! I needed a reason to get back into the game and it looks like I've found it haha, I'll update this page when I have more information (and am not getting ready for work 
).

I for one think that this is a job well done in describing NiGHTS, and I personally agree with the point that people often forget NiGHTS' Nightmaren heritage, long live the bad boy/girl!

Happy Halloween everyone! I'm uploading the festivities a day early as tomorrow is my favourite day of the year, so I'm not sure if i'll be around to post tomorrow.
