LOOKIT, I HAVE PLASTIC CANVAS! YAAAY!
...
Now whut? D:
Ah, the first project of a brand spankin' new cosplayer. I think I'm supposed to do this, *Slams face into canvas repeatedly*
I'll get it eventually. AFTER Christmas, that is. Dad alerted me four days before they have to be ready that I need to make four dream catchers for some family members. Fun!
But once the Holidays are over and done with, I'll begin serious work on my first job-- The hat. Since I'm using the canvas method I'm not too worried about screwing anything up. The canvas is cheap, and I can do stuff with even leftovers and chopped up bits. The bad part about the whole thing is *Gasp* MATH. Dear Wizeman I hate math. I really want to skip the essential step of paper calculations and sketching because that's what I hate most. But I can't. Jackle horns being as obnoxious as they are, they of course have to go on at a SLANT, and I don't want to run out of canvas by butchering curves out of all the sheets. *Face palm* But I'll get there! Does anyone have any advice on how to make the actual hat part of the 'hat'? Such as how to place strips so they actually fit? XD
Hmm, I wonder if Styrofoam will work for the collar...
