ScrewAttack looks back at NiGHTS

It's a brief but positive look back at NiD. I should also add that this came out about a month before the JoD announcement.
I never knew that Miyamoto-san held the game in such high regard. Especially since Sega and Nintendo were cutthroat rivals at the time.

I don't know if anyone's seen this before or if it's been posted on the site or whatever, but I thought this is worthy of a mention here.

I've seen this a while ago. I believe ScrewAttack gave the game great justice. I just don't like how he says to pick the game up soon if you don't have it. You know how hard it is to find that game off the internet?

At last! I knew about this quote for ages, but could never find a source for it *runs off to wiki to add it... soon*

Ebay seems to always have some copies (well in the UK at least)

I liked this video. Short and sweet - much like the game itself. I had no idea Miyamoto thought so highly of the game.
Now, imagine if he had involvement in JoD. Tasty.

Oh man that'd be awesome. I can't see Miyamoto making any dissapointing games but if he did please feel free to tell me.

You mean once you go through stunt rings right? The blue and yellow ones not ordinary rings?

I was playing recently, and was thinking about the purpose of acrobatics. I started purposely doing strings of them as I went through regular rings, and I could swear I was getting more points when I did tricks..
Edit: Paying closer attention, it seems more likely that doing tricks through rings has no bearing on your score whatsoever.

The simplest answer would be to maximize the points off the stunt ribbons. Once you complete your eleventh stunt off a single ribbon, you are awarded 2000 pts for that stunt and every stunt thereafter (4000 if in bonus time) and if you can pull off, say, 20 stunts in total, you can amass over 40,000 pts in a matter of seconds. Using this method I have been able to hit over 1,000,000 points in Frozen Bell a few times. I have a very short video of this posted on my web so you can see what I mean. http://members.shaw.ca/peter.malek/

Actually there is one point where doing a stunt other than with the ribbion will give you points.
In Soft Museum, when you go inside the musium and bounce around he beginning area if you press "R" right when you jump up you will do a littly stunt and get points. Very minor points and not worth actually doing...but points none the less. In this video at 1:33 you can see it happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhxyUERduBk
Anyway, I find it funny that the screwattack video put the haox video in its presentation. YOu know the NiGHTS 2 thing. Hahah!

Also, the only reason I found out was because I was trying to do something cool so that I could put it in my video and then it happend.
