Well, i figured i should make this a topic anyway.
Bet you people didn't know that today is the day that the original NiGHTS into Dreams went on sale in Japan. That makes our Purple friend 11 years old.

Happy Birthday to him, eh. Wish him luck on his newest adventure because he seems like he is really going to need it. XD

Besides, if worst comes to worst I will always associate NiGHTS with the original because that's who i've grown to know. 11 years without another game begins to make the original more solid for me so no matter what happens NiGHTS will always be that Purple flying dude who i disliked at first glance and grew to love. It's been an interesting 11 years. Cheers.

Wow.. Happy birthday, Naitsu! Not only can I not believe its been another year, but I can't believe that I've known you guys that long already.. NiGHTS brings goodness wherever he goes! Maybe he likes to give the gifts on his own birthday! XD

It's odd, somedays it feels like 1996 was yesterday (perhaps because it has multiple nostalgia points for me with things other than NiGHTS) and then i have days when i think... jeeze, thats 11 years of my life, i remember when i had my 11th birthday and it seemed like i'd been alive for eons.
I always wonder what life would have been like without NiD and if i would still have come to know any of you guys without it. NiGHTS has brought hundreds of people together in friendship and fun over the years. I'm thankful for every extra day i guess.

It makes me wonder if 11 years from now a bunch of kids will be reminiscing over NiGHTS 2/800000. Hmm.

We can only hope that the new game will have the same effect. I only hope that Sonic Team has learned that if they're gonna make a great game, they should advertise so more people can enjoy it. Seriously, you guys are great and I love you all, but we don't need to go through another 11 year cycle. XP

Hehehe. I've only known NiGHTS for a few years. That is good and bad, I don't have to wait long for a sequel, but I never got to play the origional. Man, I wish they would put NiD on Virtual console. I would buy a points card in a heartbeat. It really is great that NiD finally is getting a sequel. It's slightly ironic though, that I am an American that isn't very patriotic. To me 4th of July and the 5th would be normal, yet these new scans fill me with delight.

And, I recently found out, I was interested in NiGHTS for a lot longer than I thought/knew >.>! Apparently, I played NiGHTS a lot when I was younger. Why don't I remember any of this D8?!

Wow, it really has been that long, hasn't it? It seems like only yesterday, when the first game came out and captivated us... drawing us into the NiGHTS following. I had sat in my room for hours trying to figure out if NiGHTS and Reala were male or female, had a heart attack when SEGA stopped making Saturns, had some tiny satisfaction from playing SA's NiGHTS Poker Pinball Table, reading the comics (hey, don't frown... it was the only thing I could get), drawing him, etc, etc.

Ah, what am I doing wasting time and being over sentimental?! Our boy/girl has turned eleven! Happy belated birthday NiGHTS *gives NiGHTS cookies and cupcakes to Claris, Elliot and the other Nightmaren*

I remember when I first came to the site and read about NiGHTS. It's made all weepy eyed and such. It's been a good year and a half.

I wish I could've been here on the day of and all. (Darn you life!) But really, I'm quite sentimental about it now.. NiGHTS had such a profound effect on my life, and all for the better! I'd rather not consider what I'd be like without him. Honestly.

Thanks for everything NiGHTS! And thanks to all of you fellow fans for keeping the dream going! Here's to the next bedtime story! ;D
