I had a thought about making a FMV and I was listing songs and thought:

What songs and genres do you think fit the nightmaren?

Just list the Marens, their genre, and if possible an example song.

I have a feeeew that I listen to every now and then, and they remind me of a few of them

Reala: March of Mephisto by Kamelot (very dark heavy metal sound; i heart it so)
Wizeman: ...I keep hearing Davy Jones' theme from PotC2 for him. Either that or the Kraken's theme. Both heavy hitting, full orchestral music.
NiGHTS: Rosetta Refrain by Marc Star. A remix of the bg music for the town of Rosetta in Wild ARMs. Found at OC Remix. Very purdy and folk sounding, and I always see him dancing to it :3

Songs aren't coming to mind at the moment, but there are some genres I can associate with the Marens. Maybe I'll post actual songs later. Sorry if I lean more to the electronic side of the spectrum, but it's the genre I'm most familiar with.

Gillwing - Industrial

Puffy - Classical

Gulpo - Chill Out

Clawz - Hardcore Electronic

Jackle - Acid Jazz

Reala - Trance

Wizeman - Symphonic Black Metal

Understand before I make this list, the only thing I listen to is Classic Rock XD. Anyway, here it goes.:

NiGHTS: Pink Floyd, Alternate Rock, (something Heavy, but not too heavy will do. Like The Police. I'll make a sample later if I have a video clip.), or something that hints to mystery. Or some old disco song everyone knows (The Twilight Zone, hint hint, XD)

Reala: Heavy Metal. With lots of Drums and Guitars. Probably no or very few words. I think 'Black Sabbath' for some reason (in paticular, Iron Man. Although, that song fits NiGHTS more than Reala, imo.) >.>!

Wizeman: Dramatic song with no words (if there are words, they don't sound like english.) Something classical, probably. Or something similar to TRiPPY's D' Force Masters w/ Lyrics. That rings in my head....

Jackle: the Twilight Zone (the disco song, not the show XD). Or a song that describes insanity. I think somekinda modern rock song....

Puffy: Opera.

Gillwing: Tribal song. (like, lots of drums playing) Don't know why....

Clawz: Classic Rock XD. Like, somewhat heavy though.

That's all I can think of now. Might change this later....

For some unknown reason the song "Twisted Transistor" by Korn always reminded me of nightmare. Specifically Reala, but also just nightmare in general. I dunno why, the lyrics don't really make much sense, but its just the sound of it.

Also, thankyou Zeroshift! I had heard a little bit of the song "Virtual Insanity" on a commercial a while ago and thought it would be perfect for Jackle, but I didn't know the name or the band. So thankyou for that link

Traffic is a damn sexy song. Dammit, I never even thought of that (though I was kind of stuck in the rut of "Reala needs a dark heavy metal sound").

Huh, Virtual Insanity sort of has the same beat line to Jackle's theme in the old soundtrack too (and ahaha why does the bleeding on the floor at the end of the vid just add so much more to this being a Jackle theme? Well, for me at least. I'll just stop talking now).
