Yori snarled ferociously and then lunged at Twilite, biting for her with his massive canines...

Scykle smiled at the tagalong, hearing the fight from afar. "Sorry, but we have to save our friends!" Scykle took off running again, screeching to halt just yards away from Yori, Twilite, and Slick. He pointed at Yori, turning to Youko.

"Love is blind, Youko."

He roared, leaping onto Yori's back and clawing him furiously.

Youko floated in place, unsure on what to do. "..."

Yori widened his eyes and screeched in agony, thrashing about wildly to get Syckle off. He turned his head, seized Scykle with his sharp teeth, and threw him away.

[EZEKiAL]

Scykle skidded into some rubble, the leaped out of the cloud of settling dust. He ran at Yori at full speed and tackled him, but the fox's emmense size made for little reaction on Yori's part.

"Gah!" Scykle growled, "You've so had this coming!" He chomped down on one of his opponent's tails as hard as he could.

Yori yelped in pain, "YYOOOOWWW!!" He started whipping and lashing his tails against the walls and pillars around him to knock Scykle off.

Scykle was slammed into hard Dreamstone several times before finally landing flat on his face. He stood up slowly, bleeding and bruised. "Yori...I won't let you win..." He clumsily swung his claws at the massive Kitsune before falling to the floor again.

Yori sneered and placed his paw down on Syckle's body to keep him down. "Keep dreaming, little wretch..."

"Yori, stop!!" Youko cried out, "You don't have to do this!"

Yori stopped his attack, turns away from Scykle, and looks up to Youko. His face suddenly softened at the sight of her, "Youko..."

[EZEKiAL]

Scykle growled, his body began to glow white. "You...you took her away from me...I...I love her!" The Nightmaren shot from the ground, punching Yori in the jaw. He powered back down, leaving himself enough energy to fight with.

"As I said, Youko...I will show no mercy!" Scykle yelled.

"!!!" Youko widened her eyes with disbelief and shock.


Yori grunted in pain and snarled at Scykle, then he charged at her with his fangs bared to kill...

Scykle grabbed Yori's jaws in an attempt hold them open, but drastically overestimated his strength. If he let go, he'd be bitten in half, but there was no way he could hold Yori back much longer.

"Youko! Help me!"

"..." Youko hesitated, she didn't want to hurt Yori let alone allow him to harm Scykle...

Yori pushed against Scykle even further, ready to snap his jaws on him to break him in half. Suddenly, a flash of blinding light shot out from Youko's hand and it blinded Yori, causing him to back off of Scykle and shake his head to remove the blindness effects.

Scykle jumped backwards, rubbing his hands together. They were bleeding from Yori's fangs.

The Nightmaren turned around to say something to Youko, but then noticed a few of the captured Ideya floating around. He smirked, rushing to collect each one, while barely dodging Yori's attacks. After he got one of each type, he absorbed them into his own Ideya. In a flash of blinding light...

...Scykle exploded!

"AGH!" He had misjudged his own capacity for Ideya energy. He land a few feet away from Yori, his crystal shattered and black. He wearily stood to his feet, driven only by pure willpower. The blue tones of his body turned grey, to reflect his loss of energy.

"Yori...y-you..." he muttered.

Yori recovered from being blinded and started to advance towards Scykle...

[EZEKiAL]

The near-powerless Nightmaren growled weakly, taking a loose fighting stance.

"C-come on-n..." he threatened.

[Aura24]

Yori growled, "With pleasure!!" He then charged towards Scykle with his teeth bared for the kill...

Suddenly, his body glowed again and he shrunk back down to a tiny, kitten-sized kitsune, having lost too much energy while he was fighting. Yori looked at himself, then looked at Scykle and smiled innocently, "Uh...no hard feelings..?"

[EZEKiAL]

Scykle growled, then fell backwards. He roared in pain as his special Ideya was replaced five more, which had combined (under the will of a certain Ideya Palace) to create another Ideya. The ones that powered his body before floated whimsically toward the huge stockpile of Ideya that was hidden in Nightmare.

The Nightmaren's body and eyes glowed blue again, and he stood up, plucking up the tiny kitsune as well. He tossed him to Youko, glaring at them both before stomping off. "...c'mon. I'm taking the Ideya back to the Waking..." He followed the floating Ideya in total silence.

Youko stared at Scykle, then she and Yori stared at each other, before the female Maren slowly followed Scykle, carrying Yori with her.

[EZEKiAL]

The group finally reached a massive Ideya Capture with thousands, maybe MILLIONS of Ideya floating inside. Scykle turned to his friends.

"Stand back. I don't want any of you to get hurt," he warned. He screamed, switching his body into HyperDrive, rhen flew up into the bulb of the capture, causing it to explode with great force.

The Nightmaren floated back down, followed by the Ideya. He came out of HyperDrive, and walked silently towards the massive portal Wizeman had used to get to the Waking.

"What are you planning to do, Scykle?" Youko asked, a bit concerned.

[EZEKiAL]

Scykle looked back to his friends, his eyes full of tears.

"I'm going to use these Ideya to kick Wizeman and his drones out of the Waking once and for all. He won't bother any of you any more." He stepped a bit closer.

"Lucas, it's been great adventuring with you. I'm really glad we could be friends." He smiled, giving the Visitor a hug.

"Twilite, Slick...I hope you can found out who killed DaYZ. I'm sure that if you both search hard enough, you'll avenge him some day." He gave them both a thumbs-up.

"Youko...I..." He lowered his head.

"Take good care of her, Yori."

With that, Scykle roared, shifting over into HyperDrive again. This time, however, all of the Ideya surrounding him were rapidly absorbed, filling the Night Dimension with a blinding light.

As it cleared, Scykle was shrouded in the burning light of the five Ideya. He waved goodbye to his friends one last time, then blasted through to the Waking at top speed.

Scykle, bathed in light, flew into Wizeman's view. "Wizeman," he stated calmly, "I've come to put an end to your reign of terror in both worlds..."

The God of Nightmares laughed, shaking the entire planet.

Scykle...did you truly think that I didn't know of your plan? How idiotic...do you...GUOOOOO!!! The Wizeman roared in pain as Scykle pierced one of his eyes. The Nightmaren drew a paraloop around the Nightmare Lord, which opened a black hole!

"WIZEMAN..." Scykle roared, "I told you I was putting an end to this! Now you and your Nightmaren will be trapped in the My Dreams that you yourself sealed!" The monstrous paraloop sucked in every last Nightmaren on Earth. Reala roared in anger, swearing revenge on Scykle. Scykhell and Tide did the same. As the portal closed, the darkness surrounding Earth lifted, and all that was left of the invasion was a massive, metallic hand.

Scykle...as long as darkness exists in both of our worlds...I will NOT be defeated... Scykle smiled.

"Doesn't seem that way." The Ideya that the Nightmaren had in his body dispersed throughout the Waking, reviving all the people that had been possessed. The blue and silver Nightmaren smiled down upon the world as the sunlight shone and birds began to sing once more.

A few months later, NiGHTS drifts peacefully past Scykle's ruins in Ethereal Forest. The Nightmaren smiled, doing a quick loop before dashing off to anothern Nightopia. The sun shone on this world, too, and it has ever since.

A group of friends waits within the ruins, discussing where they should explore next...
