How many have you told about NiGHTS?

Just a few hours ago, I was IM'ing a longtime friend of mine. She and her fiancee have been trying to secure a Wii. I told her that when she finally got one, there was a game she had to get... even though it hasn't come out yet.
I gave her a lengthy description of NiD. It started "It's basically a game about two things: dreams and flying." And from there, I had her hooked. I finished my description, linked her to some YouTube videos and lo, a new fan was born.
I gave a similar schpiel to another friend of mine a few months ago with the same results. This led me to wonder: How have you all spread the word about this game? How many have you told? What did you do to hook them?
Please share your stories here.

Pretty much anytime the subject of video games comes up, I mention NiGHTS. And Space Channel 5, but nobody here cares about that.

I go to some GameFAQs boards and IRC rooms, and back when this was just a rumor I made sure everyone knew every new piece of info.

I've told a number of people, almost all of my friends. Sadly, they haven't exactly listened to me.

I told my best friend and parents in germany...I told them to keep an eye out for any magazines with NiGHTS on for me xD
My friend said she thought it sounded cool and will definetly have a go at playing it when it comes out ^^

I've tried exposing as many people as possible to the wonders of NiGHTS, be it with the Saturn in my apartment, or with articles like this.

When I worked for EBGames some time ago, I brought up NiGHTS every so often. I'm not sure how much my co-workers really cared, being the XBox/Halo fanboys they were, but lately, I've heard they're more Wii-oriented! Perhaps I'm due for another visit, just to make sure they have all the details straight... XD
I've talked to others about NiGHTS, but the most memorable instance was one sleepover I had waaaaay back in '96. My friends and I spent half the night playing - even though they couldn't get the hang of flying too well, we still had fun running away from the alarm egg! X3 To this day, out of those friends, I only occasionally see one... she doesn't play games too often, but she clearly remembers the purple jester!

I basically brainwashed talked about the game with Ica and showed her some fanart (both mine and others)... It worked quite well, one New Years Eve she asked me how to draw NiGHTS and the others

Brainwashing seems to be contagious... a couple of days ago I got the same question from my boyfriend as I asked Josse over three years ago:
"How the hell do you draw these guys anyway?"
I think the trick is to either tell them about the game, or just expose them to fanart/game discussion/news until they cave in. *evil laugh*

Let's see...
I brainwashed ALL my MSN contacts. I have a friend lawyer, and even HE knows about NiGHTS now. My mom also likes NiGHTS and finds her cute. Half of my eight grade was NiGHTStified by me (I had 11 persons in my class, so, no big deal). AAAND probably my ex art teacher knows about NiGHTS by now - Half of what I drew on the class was about NiGHTS. And she stole my X-Mas NiGHTS pic. Damn her.
AAAND I think it's it. I'm a talkative person. XD

My friends all know about it. XD I DRILLED it into their heads, plus I quote the PiD around them so much...
Normally when I meet someone new, the 3rd or 4th thing I ask is, "Do you play old games, and have you ever played NiGHTS?" I make SURE, SURE, that I mention it to many people.
I got my friend Christine hooked, because I showed her Reala. xD She squealed, call him 'her squishy' and she's been a fan ever since.

Eeeveryone. Any of my friends who watches me draw has seen me draw NiGHTS and NiGHTS related things, so sometimes they ask. I talk about NiGHTS so much and ever since the forum opened, I'm always taking about that, that all my friends are caught up on it.
"Oh no! Here comes Richard! He's gonna talk all that NiGHTS jargon again! RUNNNN!!"

I think the two weirdest people i ever did hook was a forensic scientist and the head of a top Edinburgh University. I was on a train coming back from Manchester or something, they started talking to me as i was sat across from them, i explained what i was drawing, they bought me dinner.
Win.

Oh man, TRiP, you should get a cookie or something for that.

Frickin' win. Maybe its because you're cute? Or maybe its because NiGHTS is cute. Ooooh! I see.
Seriously though, that's pretty interesting. Ha ha! I've don't things like that before, but never have I gotten a yummilicious dinner from it. Heh heh. But I don't go around tagging people and saying "HEY U KNOW ABOUT NiGHTS?!?!"

XD srsly
I know for a fact that every one of my school teachers who are still alive will groan a sigh of despair when they see the new advertising for JoD. Those poor, poor people, i tormented them fahah.

They might break down crying in the middle of class if someone walks up to them and says, "Did you see this new game coming out? It has a flying jester in it!"

I talk about it all the time in school and such but not specifically to anyone because nobody likes that stuff here. I did tell my bf and one other person but I'm always drawing NiGHTS related things and alot of my art projects revolve around NiD but no one really shows any interest. ::tear:: lol. My psychology teacher is interested actually, XD I forgot about him.
Obviously only because of Jung's influence of the game but it brings up good conversation, I'm doing my 8 page final on Dream Theory for him and I'm going to ask him if I can actually bring in the game and play some of it. :3

Pretty much anyone who happens to look over my shoulder at school and ask me "What the crap are you drawing??"
I haven't managed to make actual fans out of any of my friends from school (although I have actually dragged several of them to my house and made them play the game all the way through >D ), but rest assured they all at least know about it.
...I actually bought a new saturn and sent it to my best friend in the mail, along with my extra copy of the game, because she lives too far away for me to personally drag her to my house.
And NiD is just THAT important. >0

I believe the only person I've introduced NiGHTS to, thats since become a fan, is my friend David, who goes by SCRiBBLER on the oeakaki boards and DA.
A couple of my other friends know of NiGHTS due to me, but they know it just as a game that I like, nothing much more.
However, I was sitting in English one day, bored out my brain, and I had a quick scan of the grafitti all over my desk. And much to my surprise, there was a prefectly drawn symbol like the one used for the title of the Twin Seeds stage in the original game. Scary coincidence ? Or closet fan ?

I lost count of the dozens of people Ive told about this game and the original. I use almost any conversation as an excuse to introduce the game. Yes Im sad. Before the announcement Ill admit I did still squee about NiGHTS but less frequently. Ive always wanted a copy for myself and a Saturn, but you know, money >_

Whee! Thanks for the inspiration guys! I found a fellow gamer at work, and I gave her a quick NiGHTS rundown. She's intrigued!
I even gave her a NiGHTS doodle on a post-it note and wrote the site's address on the back. It was during a run of customers, so we didn't have much time to talk, but I could see it in her eyes. She thinks he's cool already! X3

Pretty much anytime the subject of video games comes up, I mention NiGHTS.
I do that a lot, online and in school, and one time as I was waiting for the bus and talking to some junior, she mentioned getting a Wii. I mentioned the NiGHTS sequel, and suprised me by saying she heard of NiGHTS a long time ago and wanted to play it, but never got her hands on a saturn. When she heard there was going to be a sequel, she was like "OMG for reals!?" And I was like, "Hell yes." XD

Everytime I try to tell someone about NiGHTS, they're hooked until they see what the character looks like.
Then they go into some "stereotypical american Shadow the Hedgehog fan" mode.
"OMG IS THAT A GIRL?!?!?!"
...no...
"GAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! PURPLE IS GAY! YOU'RE GAY! I HATE YOU!"
O.O Well, fine, mom.
