My sleep paralysis has seemed for a long time to not be working quite right. If I'm lucid, I'll often find that moving my legs in ways besides basic walking, sitting, etc. will cause my real legs to move and shake my immersion in the dream or wake me up completely. An example of this is when I'm trying to my lift my legs to keep them from dragging or hanging down while flying. Sometimes only one is still under paralysis, sometimes neither are, and sometimes I get lucky and both are. Sometimes just running in my dreams will cause me problems.

That is not the end of it. It gives me trouble when I'm trying to go to sleep sometimes. This morning, I couldn't get back to sleep after waking up at 3:50. I could feel the tiny impulses travel down my spine. I felt my feet and legs go numb, then my hands and arms. That was fascinating to me, because I'd never consciously felt the numbness before. I could even feel my fingers curling as they relaxed. "Am I in sleep paralysis?" I wondered. I felt like I could still move, but I tried just to see. I twitched my fingers without having to try very hard. I wiggled my toes, too. Then the numbness went away. The next few times, I didn't try moving again but it would still fade away after a while. From breathing, of all things. Just as I was about to fall asleep, I would involuntarily take a deeper breath and it would wake me up again.

Does anyone know how to cure this, or if it can be cured?
