The Square Enix "DKΣ3713" Press Event has begun today, and already SE Fans GOING NUTS!

Here's the low-down:

~FINAL FANTASY~

FFVII Advent Children Complete releases bundled with FFXIII demo in Japan March 09.
Final Fantasy Agito XIII is now coming to PSP.
The name of the Prince in Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be revealed.
A "Sephiroth" like character has been shown to star in Final Fantasy XIII.
All FF XIII Trailers will be shown.
Kefka, Sephiroth, Golbez and ExDeath have been shown in Dissidia: Final Fantasy.
Dissidia: Final Fantasy releases in Japan December 08.

~KINGDOM HEARTS~

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be released in 08 for Japan.
The female 14th member is Xion, she may have a connection to Kairi because of their similar appearance.
Aqua's voice is heard, she sounds like Megumi Toyoguchi, the Japanese voice of Paine in KHII.
Agrabah is shown.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep will be released in 09 for Japan.
Birth by Sleep doesn't seem to follow a new path. It is action orientated, but the quality is the same as the PS2 games. Attack with the circle button, use magic and special attacks with the triangle button. When the gauge fills, a unique special move can be used.

~OTHERS~

Parasite Eve 3 AKA The 3rd Birthday will be released on Mobile and PSP in 09.

Wow....I will be very surprised if this FF7 remake rumor is true. People are going to go crazy over this. I will hear screams of joy all the way from my room I bet.....

If I remember right, it had something to do with Roxas and the end of KH2.

And Sephiroth and Kefka (possibly) working together in Dissidia...holy crap. The Dissidia heroes are toast. And I'll be having nightmares for months.

Right. As of now, it is technicaly the 4th in Japan right now meaning that this Square Enix event if over, is it not? It was meant to last for two days, right?

So...i'm looking all over the net for the latest news from Day 2 aaaand nothing. There's nothing online from Day 2 of the Square 2008 private party.

If anybody finds anything on Day 2 then please link in this topic.

No. I and probably many others feel the same way. (Its usually best never to speak up about it though because then it annoys the fans and you get flamed all over the place. ) However, it will never rest until there is a remake of the game so I am hoping for this and then the end of all this FF7 stuff. Though maybe that is wishful thinking since anything FF7 related makes money....

Being honest, i don't like how much they've added onto the original Final Fantasy 7 storyline. Dirge of Cerberus and the addition of characters such as Genesis doesn't sit well with me because i grew up with the original and it was a game like NiGHTS that changed my life a little bit. Seeing all these additions to it does ruin it a bit which is why I just want to see the original FF7 in modern day glory, that's all.

Crisis Core gave us a bit of that. It gave us backstory to some of the original cast and i appreciated that more than the newer additions to the story. If a FF7 remake happens then i will be happy. That's all i've been waiting for ever since they announced the Compilation idea.

I'm still wondering why no news from the event has been posted today.

....this whole event was so anti-climatic. Seriously.

At E3, all we heard was "Square Enix will announce a big surprise regarding FF7 at their 2008 private party". Playstation Life.com (or whatever they're called) BOASTED about how they knew something behind closed doors regarding The Compilation of FF7 and that they were going to announce the news as soon as the event started. BULLSHIT. All of it!

What did we get out of Square-Enix? A bunch of news on Kingdom Hearts and FFXIII but all we were told was the release date for the Advent Children Complete.

What a complete f*!*ing dud. E3 was sh!t, Square Enix 2008 Private Party was worse. Talk about over-hype. At least some parts of E3 made me sit up and go 'wow'. This Square event just died like a fart in the wind. It was a two day event yet NOBODY reported what happened on the second day of it for some unknown reason.

God, this was a waste of time.

If they did remake FF7 I would probably get it just so I can stop dissing the original VII every time I hear the words Final Fantasy. All I really know is if I was waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 right now I would be so mad at how much they are making people wait. All of these side stories(I think they're side stories I dunno).
