I know I've just started a new topic today but it got me thinking about this and thought it might be worth talking about. We all know cheese makes you dream like a lunatic and I always seem to remember more when I have cheese dreams but they are not always nightmares. Alot of people I know say that you only have nightmares in cheese dreams but I'm not so sure - though they do seem to get weirder! Just wondered if any of you specifically get through copius amounts of cheese before bed so that you have really crazy dreams? I thought about eating my own weight in cheese tonight just to see what happens!!

Heh, I have "Dairy" dreams. Not only cheese makes me dream, but Yogert and chocolate and milk. I remeber having yogert one day before bed and I had a dream involving Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia living in a house in outer space the floated around. The rules of physics made no sence in that dream. They could walk normaly though the front door, but opening the back door cause people to be sucked into space, but not everybody. Luke used it in the dream to toss out Jason from Friday the 13th....because Jason was going after everybody with some sort of shart object...yet nobody really seemed to notice, they just sat and ate while Luke calmly got up and opened the back door sucking Jason out into space o_O. Later when Han and Leia where on a date Luke was by himself and Darth Vader came to the door, he took of his helmet and instead of Anikin it was some random anime hot man. He yelled "Son! You have to hide me in the basement!" and latched on to Luke, so Luke did... I don't remeber what else happened but it's safe to say I didn't really think of it as a nightmare. Dairy products just make me dream...weird stuff. the kind of thing that when you walk up you go "WHAT THE BLOODY HECK WAS THAT?! O_o? "

So far I haven't noticed any link between a specific kind of food and my dreams. Too bad, because otherwise it'd actually explain some things.

Hahahahahaha - I once had a cheese dream where I was being chased across a hill by a pack of Elephants. I jumped off the top of the hill and fell towards the earth but managed to grab onto a rope that was hanging from a cloud. I ended up in a little village (similar to the one from the film Willow) and was rescued by a tribe of minature hairy women dressed as valkaries. These "women" spoke in cat language except for the only man in the village who translated a little of what they said. I was allowed to stay in the village as long as I promised to work and he gave me 3 different coloured mushrooms to pay my landlord. I dont know why but I decided to eat one of the mushrooms and when the man found out they all became more than a little pissed off and chased me out of their village. Thankfully it ended there but it was one of the most vivid dreams I have had in the last 10 years and certainly one of the wierdest. (only the baked bean tin/football/kelly brook/saggy boob dream was weirder, and the thought of it repulses me and dont want to ever talk/write/think about it EVER. Please. Lord no!)

Chees dreams eh? I don't seem to remember having any more or any less dreams after eating cheese. I think I might try and put that theory to the test tonight...

Er.. no. I don't think my foods alter my dreams, or else I'd have wacked ones near every night, as I often buy those little round cheese wheelies to eat in the evening.

Woah! This is interesting!
Lets do an experiment! Everybody eat some cheese before they go to bed and then tomorrow we post what we dreamt!
Maybe we could try to get everybody to eat a different type of cheese...I think I have Edam and Babybel in the fridge...what kind of cheese is Babybel? -___-

I had a bit of cheese last night and dreamt about wrestling, The Undertaker and work a bit. It was one of those annoying dreams where everything chops and changes really fast... like you're watching a soap made for people with ADD. On the plus side I woke up feeling like I’d had a great NiGHTS sleep. I’m going to try it again tonight and really try to remember it.
I’m going to take a notepad and pen up to bed with me and should I wake from a dream jot things down while they are still fresh in my mind.

If only I had some parmesian... D:
EDIT: I forgot to say that I don't like any form of cheese unless if it's parmesian, or one of the handful of cheeses that I find tasty after being melted/warmed.

Bananas and vegan ice cream and peanut butter always help me remember dreams, whether I actually dream differently is unclear. One night I had a vegan banana split before bed and that was my first LD. Two NiGHTS in a row I had PB&banana sandwiches and those were the only times I ever had a nightmare.

Update number 2
Had more cheese last night and the results were rather freaky. I watched some old Mick Foley hardcore wrestling matches before I went to sleep and knew at the time that was probably a bad idea. Indeed I had a dream that I was watching Mick Foley in action. I foolishly forgot all about the pen and paper at the time so I can't remember any specifics.
Things took a turn for the strange when I started dreaming about getting a bus to work. It was no normal bus though, nope, it was selling expensive meals and the only way you could have a bus ticket would be to buy an expensive meal. Unfortunately I had no money on me, which resulted on me being ejected from said bus and being late for work...
In real life I was actually late for work thanks to a mass of traffic. Ugh!

Thats weird - whenever I have to pay for something in my dreams I never have enough either!! (although thats usually true in real life too so maybe thats why).
I had a rather strange dairy dream last night (i'm far too poor to afford cheese so I drank lots and lots of milk instead) - I was in my hometown and was in the car with my mate and his girlfriend (my one mate who cant drive was driving of course!?) and we ended up in a car park which doubled as a minature zoo. There was only pandas and crocodiles and they wern't caged in. Instead there was a small moat of red gravel which the animals would not cross. However - I was not allowed to stay and pet the animals because the zookeeper said I was only there to steal his book!
I often find that it all makes sense at the time - its only when you wake up does it seem odd.

Haha, nice. What was the book about do you know? I'd love for someone to try and make sense of our madness but there probably isn't anything they can say about it
