Okay, so here's the scenario: I wrote a fanfiction story in which Donbalon made a short appearance. At the end of the story, in the author's notes, I wrote the phrase ' And yes! Donbalon is the new Jackle' And within one day gotten this message in my reviews:

Nobody can replace Jackle! How dare you! 1 out of 1,0,0 Ha! terrible!

Yes, that's exactly how it was typed. This message bothered me to no end, because it was slightly un - supportive, but now that I think about it, maybe I was too harsh in moving onto the new bosses. I have two questions: 1) Was I too harsh or was I defending my personal opinion? and 2) Do you think the JoD bosses will ever be accepted alongside the NiD bosses?

Also, if enough people ask me, I might post a link to the story. But be warned, it's very NiGHTSXReala - ish.

Edit: The reason why I typed 'Donbalon is the new Jackle' is because I was ready to move onto the new JoD bosses, but apparently no one else was. Maybe I should re - phrase my sentence...

No, I don't think you were being too harsh... O.o People just cant let go of the fact that Jackle wasn't in JoD. He's a really awesome character, so let's hope he's in the next game...
JoD bosses probably won't be accepted so easily because they weren't the original (and most seem like complete ripoffs of the NiD bosses IMO).
And where do you get "Donbalon is the new Jackle" from? I though Chamelan was like Jackle and Donbalon was like Puffy. XD

No. It's one thing if you're a Jackle fan and think that you can't and etc.

It's another in this case. Just ignore it; it's mostly a Jackle fan who doesn't understand that it's ok to be ticked off at a fanfiction, but it's not ok to flame the author because of that.

I think you were FINE moving onto the new bosses! That's what I did in my fanfic! I'm also a Jackle fan, so that person was the harsh one! BLEH!!

It's your opinion... you're allowed to have it. He's entitled to his too, but giving you a harsh review because of yours was inappropriate.

However, on the note of new bosses, I friggin' love them.
In my opinion, most of them are more than capable of matching up to the originals (Sai <3 Queen Bella), and hands down beat them in some cases... (Girania > Gulpo)
Will they ever be as accepted as the first generation? Eventually, yes, I imagine they will if another game doesn't come out for a year or two. They still need fanart though!

But anyway that person may be a die hard fan but for one line to piss him or her off that much is actually kinda funny. I say piss off more people. Owl is the new Wizeman. NiGHTS is a stolen idea from Death Note. Just go off and tick off the masses. Reputation means nothing, to me anyway. Go forth and make us laugh!!

That person was probably just some punk. But I don't really look at ANY of the bosses as replacements. Its just a new set. Probably hit somebody's sore spot.

I think that the reviewer who said your story was bad just because of you're opinion was wrong. I also like the new bosses as much as the last bosses and plan for them both to make an apperance in my fan works.

Meh, the new bosses will become originals as soon as a NEW game comes out with Nightmarens we can criticize. Then we'll be like "Cheezegraterman is the new Chamelon" and people will be like "OMG HAX U NOOB". Don't let his comment bother you. People just like to hold onto old things and criticize the new.
