One night I had a strange/bizarre dream it took place at a cabin I was staying the night at for the first time on the patio... anyway... nearing the end of the dream I found myself getting drowsy then I found my strength had escaped me and my muscles locked up I fell onto the patio and the split second I did I woke up in the same position I fell in and the bed was shaking... as if from the impact of my falling in my dream, I was in the center of the bed on my back (which is odd cuz I normally sleep on my side near the edge of the bed I'm a very peaceful sleeper). Now this COULD be sleep walking but I'm not sure as I never sleepwalk nor have I ever seen anyone sleepwalk, but still I was pretty weirded out by the whole ordeal. Another instance is when I was a wee lad I don't quite remember the dream but I remember it flashed images that greatly frightened me, so (being a little child in a scary situation) I screamed but the first thing I noticed was that my voice was gone (I was still screaming) but it was in a scratchy monotone and I could barely hear it, my throat wasn't sore and I wasn't sick that day, but it felt kind of like trying to speak while one's throat is being crushed but I could breath just fine, I was admittedly terrified and started to cry when I woke I was soaked in tears there were 3 ppl in the same room but no one heard me as my voice was still gone. Finally, I started to regain my voice through the sobs, hearing my voice steadily return calmed me down so thankfully I didn't wake anyone but I was afraid to go back to sleep. But it was late and fatigue claimed me I had no problems after that...
I've also had multiple dreams that would show me something that would happen in the future (usually within the next few months) I hope I don't get bashed for this (I am no fortune teller or "dream medium") I just wanted to know if anyone else had something like this happen?

Sometimes dream paralysis can effect your voice too, i know that because i usualy wake up yelling from a nightmare and DiGi doesn't get woken up. That or he's just a damn heavy sleeper lol. You think you're screaming but until your brain fully wakens up and realises its completely real again nothing comes out.

I used to sleepwalk a lot when having bad dreams in particular, it can be quite dangerous if youre sleeping in a place that is unfamiliar to your brain because you tend to follow layouts that you have memorised, like your own house. I managed to get all the way downstairs to the kitchen at my old place without waking a few years ago. Scared the crap out of me. Especialy because of what the actual content of the dream was. My problem was that because i lucid dream very strongly i'd end up mimicking my actions directly. You know how sometimes you accidentaly kick out or twitch when walking down a step in sleep? It's like that but more extreme.

Thesedays because i sleep in a big bed with DiGi I'm always aware of what is awake and what is asleep, even in strong lucidity. Which I'm glad of as before i met him it was getting out of hand.

The human mind is a really complex freaky thing.

I have dreamt of future events before, many times.

I do remember a particular time where I dreamt in grade four that a friend of mine and I were kicking around an orange juice bottle in our school's cafeteria (that was completely empty at the time and being used for a theatre). A few weeks later the exact same thing happened.

I also know that sometimes when I'm sleeping I feel like I'm falling and I hit something hard, I wake up and I had jumped rather hard to make the bed shake, and my heart is racing. I usually wind up lying on my back like that as well, when I also sleep in a similar position as yours (Saifer).

Another time I dreamt that i was in the middle of a corn field, completely lost and scared. I had felt a presence from behind me and I turned and looked to see a rather demented looking scarecrow staring blankly at me from behind a wooden fence. I screamed and instantly woke up, bolting up in my bed -- and my stepfather had been standing exactly where the scarecrow had been sitting on the fence, but instead, he was sitting on my bed's frame, staring at me. What was even weirder was it was in the middle of the night. I don't remember why he'd come in there to wake me up, but I do know that it scared me to death (and he laughed at me for screaming too .__.;; ).

I don't think I sleep walk. I do know that sometimes I 'sleep mumble' though...

There have been a couple of times when it seemed my dreams were telling the future. For several months after moving to Virginia, I had nightmares about hurricanes and tornadoes. In the end of one of them, my mom told me my cat had died outside in the tornado. I remember feeling so guilty because I had somehow forgotten him and left him out there. A while later, hurricane Katrina struck. After another month or so, we had to put my cat to sleep because he was so sick he would've died in two days of suffocation anyways. Mom was the one who told me the decision on the morning it was done. Also like in my dream, I wasn't there with him when he died. I went to school for a field trip because Mom thought that was best.

Close to my Confirmation (an initiation rite into the adulthood of the Catholic Church), my sponsor (who was also my godmother) was debating whether to come up from Florida with her family or not. I hoped they would come, because I am...very fond of one of the sons. *blush* Anyways, the trouble was work schedule, money, and my godmother's injuries from a recent car wreck. It seemed that she would be the only one coming, if she did at all. I had a dream that only she was coming. I ran upstairs and cried because I wouldn't get to see the boy. The next day, my godmother called and said they couldn't come. Mom took her place in the ceremony. So it was like the dream: I had a sponsor figure but not the boy I wanted to see so much. :D

As for sleepwalking, my parents say I used to do it all the time. I, of course, don't remember it. My dad once made the mistake of touching me to coax me up the stairs, in spite of Mom's warnings. I flipped, ran up the stairs screaming, turned left too sharply, and slammed into the wall instead of going into the hall to my room. XD I don't think Dad ever tried that again.

My dreams often predict the future, but in strange or odd ways. I'm a Medium, and, therefore, I channel thoughts and emotions from the spirits to the living; I've been officially clarified as one. Not like some stupid Quizilla test; the real deal.

The day my Grandmum died, I had a dream I was playing one of those GameTap-like games; I was on a small rowboat, shooting at soldiers at me. It was in a WWII-style. Suddenly, I had entered the game when I was thrown off the ship, in the water. Suddenly, the dead soldiers in the water started to move slightly (mostly wiggle); their faces dead-looking; some almost like zombies with eyes missing and etc. I woke up that morning feeling very insecure and afraid; but it soon passed.

Then I came home and learned my grandmother had passed; about an hour or two after I had had that dream she had died.

I've also had other strange dreams, but I can only recall 2 or 3 warning ones.

My dreams sometimes predict the future, but nothing serious. It's usually just something about the next day. I haven't had one in a while, though.

I get future dreams almost everyday, but it's only unimportant things like picking up an object. And I talk in my sleep all the time, according to my sister.

On the subject of sleepwalking, however, it's a different subject. My dad has these nightmares (he refuses to call them nightmares, instead he calls them 'action dreams') where he'll be fighting aliens or something. One time he got up and started punching things and broke a window! Another time, he chased my sister to our room when she got up to get a glass of water. When she locked the door, he jiggled the doorknob and muttered "coward".

EDIT: Another example of dreams that effect more than your thoughts is Heath Ledger (plays the joker in The Dark Knight). According to CNN news reports, he died by accidentally overdosing on sleeping pills. The reason why he was taking sleeping pills is because he was having really vivid nightmares about his part in The Dark Knight. Or at least, I think that's what CNN said...

I think many people, if they remember their dreams well enough, will find that they've killed people in their dreams. I for one have, although only out of accident or self-defense. Still didn't make me feel any better, though. :D The emotions you feel in your dreams, even though it's a dream, are still very real. That's why it infuriates me when people won't take them seriously.

My best friend told me a story about his parents in bed. His mom was still up reading and his dad was asleep. Out of nowhere his dad points up and yells "JASON!" Then his dad motions for his mom to come closer. Then he whispers to her "I have...the secret code..." then he stops sleep talking and falls back into bed. XD Unfortunately, his dad didn't remember what he dreamed about.
Edit: As for myself, I can't really think of anything. :/
