Although it's for an artistic project, this is a request for help, not a show of skill -- so hopefully I have this in the right place...

I'm working on a project that requires the original sound effects from NiGHTS into Dreams -- and if at all possible, from Journey of Dreams as well.

Now I do realize that this has been asked before, and I've already searched for them, primarily with the help of an older topic in the forum, 'NiD Sound Test Mode', which was trying to achieve the same goal.

While I did manage to download several of the sounds from NiGHTS into Dreams from the links in that topic, I'm still missing:

- The sound NiGHTS makes when he does a drill dash,
- Paraloop sound effect and other random flight sounds,
- Reala's 'There is no NiGHTS' line. (Although I don't quite need this one.)

And I have nothing from Journey of Dreams at all, although I would like to have samples of NiGHTS' flute and the sound effect for Dualizing. The clearer the sample of the file, the better -- but I'm not about to be choosy considering I can't find them myself...

Sadly, I don't have the disks or the conversion software to get them myself, and I can't even start the project without the Paraloop and drill dash effects -- which is where I need some help.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, or give some insight as to how to do it myself, you would be doing me a huge favor.

I use emulators all the time, so give me a few days when i go to my b/f's and i'll get you an insanely clear "There is no NiGHTS" line he ripped from the ps2 game. He uses it as his computers error sound If i have time i'll rip the other sounds u need from the ps2 version (which has a HUGE sound test gallery, including a Reala laugh i've never heard [or i never noticed it on the original ])

Hey, just gotta say im REAL sorry i haven't got yur sounds yet like i promise. I've been busy with exams and essays lately. Plus my b/f keeps coming to my place and i haven't had a chance to go to his and use his pc to rip the sounds. So atm, i can't tell you when i'll have em, sorry :S I'll try to rip some off youtube and see how they come out when i figure out how to do it on a mac.

Hey there, with Moonlight's suggestion to use the ps2 sound test I decided to record them ALL and convert them to wav files.

At first I started doing every sound as it's own individual file (the misc sounds and the reala sounds), but then I got lazy and I did 1 wav file for each section. So you may have to split some of the files yourself...if you don't have an easy way of doing it just let me know which ones you want and I can split them for you...or I can tell you how I did it (I used a program called Audacity).

Edit: If you want the drill dash sound it's file 016.wav in 01_misc_part2.zip. There's also one from Reala's clips...file 077.wav in 02_reala.zip
The paraloop sound is file 017.wav in 01_misc_part2.zip. There's also one from Reala's clips...file 075.wav in 02_reala.zip
Reala's 'There is no NiGHTS' line is file 081.wav in 02_reala.zip.

I've been meaning to get the dualizing sound onto my phone as a text tone, now I can! Among lots of other things for personal projects I've had along the back burner for a while now... >.>

EDIT: Since I figure there'll be some people that want every single .zip file you have to offer, I'm going to zip them all and throw a link on rapidshare to cut back the bandwidth your site has to push.

Glad I could help out! It was fun listening to them all...I love the voice clips from Reala, Jackle, and Wizeman. Thanks TRAViS for posting the other link, it definitely saves me some bandwith!

Hot DAMN! I feel bad now nah just kidding. Good job guys, i've moved into a home on my own and my b/f would rather come here than us go to his parents house, so no time to rip stuff I own a mac and have no clue how to rip ps2 stuff on it). One day i would have don it, but DAMN! YOU GUYS ROCK!
