Think about it........
All of the Nightmaren on that list weren't listed as their actual names, so it would be logical that they put "Selph" in the place of the 2nd NiGHTS instead of just putting "2nd NiGHTS".
As for Know Thyself...I don't know. That blows my theory out of the water if it IS boss music.

Or possibly, "Know Thyself!" was to be an alternate theme, just like how there are now two "D-Force Master" songs.

Personally, I always thought of Selph as an immensly powerful boss that would perhaps be connected as a side story

Considering that they aren't including at very least some (Clawz >_>) of the old bosses, I doubt they will dig into concept bosses from the previous one.

Besides, odds are it would be a disappointment of a fight with all the speculation surrounding it if they did.

Yeah, personally I don't think Selph is something they'll delve into in the new game. I don't think the project that Selph is or could have been was some big awesome boss that they regretably had to cut out of the game. I've had all kinds of interesting ideas, but they all point back to having something to do with the second NiGHTS idea, which they ended up using in the Wizeman fight anyhow.

Oh! That would be great! I still think if it even really is a boss fight, which I used to think, it had to do with the second NiGHTS, but then they instead put a second NiGHTS in the Wizeman battle.. But if its something different than the obvious it would be interesting to learn about!

Selph is Sephiroth. Sega didn't want to get in trouble for using the name Seph on their files. Final Fantasy was in production at the time of the game's release. So NiGHTS would have to fight the seemingly invincible Sephiroth.
