Can't unlock....ANYTHING. Help? *spoilers*

So, basically, heres where I'm at:
-I have beaten the game with both characters.
-I then got a C rank or above on every mission with both characters.
-I then beat the game again, multiple time, with each child.
Which resulted in nothing:
-Still no video room
-Still no audio room
-Still no sketchbook
-Still no yellow Ideya
-Still no fight with Reala
-Same exact ending; same exact fight with Wizeman.
So, my question is: What in the world am I doing wrong? This is incredibly frustrating; So much so, that I'm about ready to give up on this game altogether. Also, every time I ask this question, I get a hoard of people asking me "did you get a C in every mission?" despite me repeating it over and over. So, just to reiterate again:
YES! I HAVE A C RANK OR ABOVE ON EVERY SINGLE MISSION FOR BOTH CHILDREN!
Does anyone know what could be wrong?

---Edit---
YOu do watch all the credits right?
It sounds like you have run into a series glich and need to start a new save. My bf had something similar happen to one of his games and he could not progress in the storyline anymore because of it. I am very sorry, but I think you just got unlucky.

I see why people keep asking you that, because I have not had this problem ever. So you never saw the screen that said you unlocked the items? Is your game not auto saving anymore? Maybe you need at least one dew drop? Have you ever entered your "My Dream" area? I have NO idea whats going on there. That sounds pretty weird. Maybe you can't be connected to the internet while doing this?
- I never got a screen saying I unlocked anything. When is that even supposed to show up?
- My game is auto-saving.
- I have 15 dream drops.
- I play with the My Dream frequently.
- I have my game set to connect online automatically.

They say the items unlock after the credits I believe.
I also edited my above post before you posted.

Yeah, I let the credits roll. It just never says anything is unlocked, though.
I hope this isn't a game-ending glitch that I've run into. I'm already frustrated enough by this, and I don't think its worth it playing through the whole game again to see the ending. *sigh* What an utter disappointment this game has been...

I am sorry to say but it probably is. There have been a handful of games that result in random glitches and you have run into one. I would not say its not worth it. How long did it take you to do all this? Think of how long it takes to beat some of your other games. This game is pretty short. I would be upset if I spent 60 hours in an RPG and had to start over then.
It was short, but it wasn't tremendously fun, either. Playing through the whole game again at this point would just be more tedious than fun. Plus, I've played Bell Bridge like 12 times now trying to find out whats wrong, and I'm completely sick of that level.
I was disappointed with the game as a whole, and if this really is a game-ending glitch, then thats pretty much the last nail in the coffin.

No because that is what I did and it worked just fine. Also you won't see the all C ending unless you complete both kids stories with all C's or more. Or are you not getting the unlocking stuff?Same problem here, except I only beat the game with Helen. Maybe if you start the other characters story while in progress of the other, it won't function properly.

If you hate it that much...then give it back to GameStop before its not woth good credit. If you hated the game so much that its not worth playing over again...then there reallly is no purpose to have the game. Sorry if that sounds mean but I am not trying to. There is no reason to have a game you don't like to play over again in my opinion.
I never said I HATED it. Calm down... sheesh. I'm just saying that, as a fan of the first game, this game was disappointing as a whole. It was fun, but not nearly as good as I had hoped for. And, yeah, it wouldn't be fun to play through the entire game again after being disappointed by the game's lack of polish, all because of a game-breaking glitch (which just goes to show even more lack of polish), and wasting another 3 hours playing the game just to try to find out whats wrong.
I probably will get rid of the game, though. Maybe I'll just download someone else's save, just so I can at least see the ending, though.

Well, I completely beat Will's story before I started Helen's.

THen you are fine. You don't have the special ending because you need to get C or better on all of Will's missions.I have the sketchbook though.
As for SwordOfZork, its ok. I know how you feel. I do like the game, but it is saddening that I don't like it quite as much as the original. That and the controls offered for this game are a pain! If they were better than maybe this game would be more enjoyable.

According to several people on a different forum where I asked the same question, they're experiencing the same or similar problems with their game. Four people that responded have only been able to unlock one of the characters' special rooms and no secret ending, and one person responded to say they haven't been able to unlock anything.

I haven't had that problem, so perhaps unfortunately you got a faulty game.. usually when you beat the game, anything that is unlocked is listed after the credits have rolled. Unlocking things such as levels for the two player mode are listed after you've fully completed a Dream and all the missions in it. If you haven't seen anything and you've had C and above rankings on both William and Helen, well... gotta be a glitch. Either take it back to Gamestop and trade it out for a new one or get your money or credits back while you can. Because they'll screw you there.
