So while doing the usual rounds through NeoGAF (No, I don't post there, but it is a great place for info!) I've seen the review scores for Famitsu and Dengeki, so how does it fare? Is NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams a great game, or is it some lacklustre effort that will cause the very Earth to imploded into a tiny billion pieces?

I'm going to use this as a sort of review complition topic, get more then 70%, its going places, get less...well let us not talk about that.

Ouch, the famitsu score is painfully low all things considered. Pre-owned purchase reconfirmed.

10 thumbs up for Dengeki. 5 thumbs up for Famitsu but only because they were the first to reveal to the world of the NiGHTS PS2 remake.

Famitsu is usually rather strict on their review scores, about the only ones I feel are trustworthy these days. Still, it did decently with reviews, at least. And the Guilty Gear reference made me smile.

I don't listen to the reviews anymore. I'll decide if I like a game or not by playing it.

Nintendo Power just reviewed the game and gave it a 9 out of 10! That is a big jump from the scores from Famitsu and EGM. Thank goodness someone has an ounce of sense in the world. Go Nintendo Power! This seals it. I have never had too many qualms about this game, and this destroys the last shadows of shadows of my final tiny doubts.

9? cool.. I'm wondering what the likes of GamePro and X-Play will give it. I better not see anyfin below a 4, dammit.. But I strongly doubt it's getting any 5's. Every part of the game needs to be well done to deserve a 5, and unfortunately as we all know, that's inherently not the case with JoD.

I'm not worrying too much over the reviews on this. Quoth Wikipedia on NiGHTS Into Dreams:

Most reviews in dedicated Saturn magazines praised the game, but those of some multi-platform websites and magazines were more critical.

Im just wondering what Ign will give it. I like alot of there reviews.

I don't listen to scores and reviews. They gave Shadow the Hedgehog a 6 and I don't see the problems with it. Who doesn't like to pick up a gun bigger than you are, swear at your enemies and blow them into tiny bits?

So it doesn't matter to me if they give NiGHTS a 1 or a 1000. NiGHTS will be the FIRST game I buy when I get a Wii.
