Sounds like it's a fan-site kit, a lot of game websites have them. You know, the things with banners and such that help you make your own fansite.

Yeah, the fan-kit sounds like it'll have a few banners and and images, and maybe the official font(s) if the Phantasy Star Universe one on its site is anything to go by.

well that's fine. can't hate em for one little mistake. some person had told me NiGHTS was a girl because of the voice thing and even after I explained it they still believe NiGHTS is a girl. I just don't care anymore. Let them think what they wanna.

NiGHTS is and will always be- a giant parsnip. Now with an English voice. But parsnip all the same.

Sega refer to NiGHTS as 'he' and 'him' all the time in casual interviews and stuff. It's just easier to say rather than say his name all the time. Doesn't mean he's one or the other. Just a figure of speech.

NiGHTS is whatever gender the bloody fragger feels like showing up as. XD So in the long run from person to person, it doesn't matter by what gender you assign the purple eyespot. One person calls NiGHTS a he, another calls NiGHTS a she, some call NiGHTS an it... Folks just have to remember that as a creature of a dream nature, NiGHTS probably doesn't have a concrete gender. Just as some people can dream themselves the opposite sex, I'm sure our fave dreamer fetishist 'pian charmer changes to appeal best to the dreamer's subconscious.

I wouldn't say disguise. Though that line is pretty funny. XD

I mean more, for a creature that can change its entire form into anything, having only one set gender is kinda pointless. NiGHTS isn't really disguising 'himself', but merely taking on a form/gender that would probably be suitable for interaction with particular dreamer.

For example, in the original, NiGHTS' voice seemed rather... extremely high pitched male. XD Considering that Claris and Elliot are getting their afts handed to them from lack of courage, NiGHTS shows up as somewhat 'male', possibly as a throw back to the ancient stereotype of "manly = brave" or some such other nonsense. For those two it would kinda make sense since they're growing up a little and conquering their fears.

For the new pair, (and just going by what tiny bit of the new voice I've heard) NiGHTS has a much more feminine sounding voice. Considering that the general concept of the game is for them to explore and grow (while also conquering their inner fears), it makes more sense for NiGHTS to be slightly more feminine to appear or seem more like a guiding older female figure (big sister/mother/aunt/ect).

XD;; Or at least that's how it all works out in my head.

But basic point is: NiGHTS shows up as whatever gender it wants/needs to. So EVERYONE is right in whatever gender assignment they use.

As I cannot start a new topic for this, may I point out, slightly off-topic, that 1Up has begun a whole week of NiGHTS coverage, and that some of the new screens they show are about totally uninteresting things like, well...2P mode with Reala and NiGHTS!

So excited for what is going to come tomorrow and the next day! Some of the new screens they show of the A-Life levels are also on IGN. Enjoy!

Woo, that's a lot of screenshots. The game is looking a lot more complete now, glad to see they still have all the different types of loops, I forgot about those.

Oh and personally I think NiGHTS looks a bit retarded in that 'You win!' shot. I hope it's just the result of lower detail in multiplayer.

It's mostly in blown up screenshots with the HD aspect ratio. Try releasing normal size shots in the standard aspect ratio next time, SEGA. Some anti-aliasing would be nice too.
