The NiGHTS Project 2007-2008

-Draw NiGHTS on your desk or chalkboard between classes. Just leave it there. (this has actually worked for me)
-Draw NiGHTS between homework assignments. Make it blatently clear to other people what you're drawing.
-Talk about it to your friends; hope someone overhears you.
-Fire multiple shots of artillery into the enemy base.
-Get your degree! Then draw NiGHTS on it and hang it on your wall.
-Post a picture of NiGHTS on the company billboard. =3
On a more serious note, I've had people ask me many times what the F--- I was drawing, and I told them. So HAH! But seriously. With a little effort on our part, we can make this place a better world...for NiGHTS.

Talking about it with friends seems to be the most effective way. Or, showing all the stuff they'd find 'cool' about the game.

It's going to be tough to fight through those brainwashed zombie Halo gamers, but I'll do what I can and what I must until I cannot stand any longer!
Or I could just go to plan B, and spend a grand on my car in the best way possible:

I'm not normally a car person but that's a SWEET RIDE. What would you name it? The NiGHTSmobile? The Dream Machine? X3
Another ideya is to take your sketchbook (all you art-types) and paste NiGHTS pictures all over it. I printed and cut out a big pic of NiGHTS, Sonic Riders style, and I'm gonna get that brush-on glue to stick on my book! Oooh, maybe if someone had buttons we could put all over our purses/backpacks/guitar straps! You reading this, Sega?
Of course, talking about NiGHTS works beautifully! Someone mentioned once that they described it as "dreams and flying", and that alone got their friends hooked!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of you on those counts. I've had NiGHTS stay on a desk for a full week before it was washed. NiGHTS's head is usually on my hw at least once, and all my friends think I'm crazy for thinking this game is cool and talking about it so dang much. (they prefer manga to games.)-Draw NiGHTS on your desk or chalkboard between classes. Just leave it there. (this has actually worked for me)

As for the artillery, I don't have that...but I do have a working crossbow.

If you crash that car in anyway I will find you and obliterate your innards.
That car is holy now.
lol I know it's not real btw

In all seriousness I have actually been considering getting custom vinyl graphics made for my car and I've been kicking around the idea of a NiGHTS-themed scheme for a while now. Maybe not necessarily having NiGHTS (or Reala, whoever) on the car but just having something like it. Video games are one of my biggest passions in life, and it would be a perfect homage to have a video game-themed paint job on my ride. When I get closer to having this become a reality and I do keep the NiGHTS idea going I'll be sure to let all of you know
Oh and as for crashing the car, funny you'd say that since I narrowly avoided a scary as hell 75 MPH rollover last week by about 20 feet...

My cousin Phew does... well 'used to do'.. full scale graffiti. I'm sure if i was in London right now me and him would be making a JoD one, too. Shame.
After being wanted by the police though you kinda take a step away from the whole illegal graffiti thing and realize for what you're doing, getting arrested ain't worth it. XD;;;
Also, that NiGHTS car concept paint work is sicker than sick, man! When i pass my driving test someday and i get myself a car i've got to have some kinda NiGHTS paintjob done to it. Great stuff.
As for the rest of you trying to spread the word. Go about it if you want to but don't do anything as illegal as what me and my cousin done. This website is not held responsible for your actions, understand?
--edit--
You know, what would be a good way to spread the word of NiGHTS is you could just print out 100 leaflets or so and give them out to people. Me and TRiPPY were going to do that but we're in the middle of moving house right now and things are a tad on the hectic side...so we don't have time to stand around Edinburgh giving out leaflets.
But you guys can. Wanna promote the word? Put some money on some leaflets and hand them out. And you won't be arrested for it either. XD

Otherwise I've opened threads about JoD on practically every forum I visit on the interweb, and mention JoD whenever the subject of upcoming games arises.

How about writing an article for your school newspaper. Doing an art project for class. Handing out bizzare abstract leaflets XD;. Group cosplaying in public places. Talking lots about the game. If you work in a games store- reccomend it out the wazoo to parents and old ppls for their kids. Make some crafts to sell.
And so on.
Although i recall causing a scene or two when i was 14 about NiGHTS.... @_@

Do tell....
I have no idea what to do. I just tell people about NiGHTS eventually in a conversation...Yeah I am boring. Its also kinda hard to spread the word in college. No one pays attention... Maybe the next time I can't answer questions for my slide guide quiz I will draw a little picture of NiGHTS.

I picked up a few of those poster packs at GameStop so I have a few extra NiGHTS posters. As much as I don't want to give up something so sacred, I'm going to put it on my door in my dorm when the time is right (I currently have a "Game of the Week" thing going on my whiteboard). I'm near one of the entry doors and this is the 3rd largest dorm on a 12,000 person campus, so it should get some good traffic. NiGHTS will be game of the week probably second week in October.
I won't put it up just yet; I kinda want to get it laminated first so that there's less chance of it getting damaged...

Hell, David even did a NiGHTS style hat for his Design Higher, which I'm sure he'll flaunt about the boards when he gets it back in November XD.
In another story, once, when I was bored in English and had a wee look about the usual graffiti on the desks, I spotted something of particular intrest. Somebody had drawn the EXACT symbol for Twinseeds on the desk.

When I really get into something, I really get into something. NiGHTS into Dreams is so dear to my heart that it's showing up in the majority of what I do, regardless of whether I notice it or not.
In my Psychology and Philosophy classes I mention NiGHTS whenever a related topic arises (Jung's archetypes, what is reality, etc.). I have never had the guts to do things like that ever before in my life... and amusingly enough, when it happens now, I just smile and thank God for my hopefully RED iDEYA. (I can't say whether or not it's that color for sure, but I'm praying it is...!)
Secondly, you should all already know about my art and music! My fellow artists already know my as "that girl who draws the jesters with floating heads." XD They're Nightmaren, darnit, do a little research please! I do inform them of NiD whenever the chance arises, though. (Speaking of, I just finished my first major project today-- a full-bodied portrait of NiGHTS flying! Let's hope he gets the attention he deserves, eh?) And with music, whenever I get the chance to just play whatever I want, 9 out of 10 times it's "Dreams Dreams."
And don't even get me started on my darling muse, Selph. <3 If somebody knows me, there's a 99% chance they know him, and a 95% chance they know where he's from!! (I'm working on a 100% for both!!)
I'm doing my homework, kids. WiZEMAN will be happy with me, I hope!!
Oh... and on the subject of cosplaying? I'm dying to do so myself, but got awfully close in 2005... I costumed as a NiGHTS-style outfit harlequin for Halloween that year (made the outfit), and even though the design was simple, I got tons of compliments. "That's a gorgeous costume! But what are you supposed to be?"
And the answer would always be the same--
"I'm a jester, actually, but I really wanted to be a Nightmaren. You know, from NiGHTS into Dreams?" XD
Crazy crazy me. Well, I hope the rest of you are having a ton of fun spreading the NiGHTS love around also!!
