"OK, Releasedate news is always good. Here's what we got today straight from SEGA:
Japan and USA: Q4 (December) 2007 release
Europe: Q1 2008
That's official news."
And there you have it, straight from the source. Go and tell your homies. All you cats in America, consider yourself luckier than us jammin' over in the UK.
It does seem the game was delayed from it's November release date so technically the delay still stands hence why the December release date is in place now.
Can't figure out why the UK has to wait another bloody month for it, though. Oh well.
A big thanks to our NiD NiNJA's for getting this information this morning. ^^

I'm really honestly not gonna be surprised if the US and Japan dates gets pushed off too, just because the last time we heard it was 55% done, now it's probably 60% or so, and I really don't want SEGA to rush it for an Xmas Release...

So....anyone in Europe should be considered lucky if you plan to go to the store and buy the game! But thank goodness there's a(hopefully) solid release date we can look forward to!

I feel really sorry for TRiPPY though. She is one of the biggest, actually quite possible the biggest, NiGHTS fan and she has to wait an extra month. Sorry TRiPPY....

As for 'NiGHTSfan123's question, it was in development from around November 2006 since we were in the presence of Sega staff at last years Auchinawa convention. I believe the production for the game began around that time. However, around February or March the game was pulled back and some form of re-haul occurred, which is probably why at the Leipzig convention the game was still only at around 55-60% complete. I still think Sega should pull that date back. As much as that trailer makes me squee-with-glee i just don't want them to try and release it for Christmas all because they want to be a part of the Christmas rush. I would rather have a game that is as close to being perfected as possible than have a game released so little Timmy can open his presents on Christmas Day and not have to wait.

Lol, in the words of TRiPPY herself just a few seconds ago - "f*** waiting a month!" XD Don't you worry about us. We'll find a way to play that game before it reaches the UK. ^^
|D! Go TRiP and DiGi |D!
Btw, there's some WiFi multiplayer modes, according to IGN... PRAY FOR CHOOSING WHO YOU WANT TO FIGHT |D! Tournaments? XD; ? That would be kinda cool.. in a way :3.

How about this. No one talks about the game when it comes out in America and Japan until Europe gets it.

This doesn't surprise me at all, really. European gamers are traditionally the least loved by hardware and software developers. I'm sure I don't understand why, but that seems to be how it is.
Still, if you European NiGHTS fans want to buy a copy from the U.S, more power to ya. I just hope you have a Wii that's American or modded though, because the Wii is region-locked.

Is it true that Nintendo has a 4-6 week approval period for games?

I wish the game was pushed back to January, period. It stands no chance of getting noticed in the same month as SSBB.

I agree completely. NiGHTS'll lose proper hype to Mario again.....and I think that it should be pushed back to January....even though I'm impatient as hell, I'll wait if it means the quality of the game....

NiGHTS has already lost most of its hype due to the madness that is Halo 3. It can rebuild its hype though but based on most comments by 12 year old males, this game might not be as much of a classic as the first one thanks to a biased nature.

Elaborate, please.I'm from the US, guys. But if you ask me, I honestly think the UK should get it FIRST. >(
For my part, I wouldn't worry about Halo. By the time NiGHTS is released, Halo 3 copies all over the country will be well-worn and the trilogy long over and done. Don't underestimate how much time can pass in three months.
However, I would worry about the lack of press. Granted, Metroid Prime 3 had a woeful ad policy of "too little, too late" and it still did all right. But then, it wasn't up against juggernauts like Mario Galaxy or SSB.
I'm very curious to see how this is going to work out. I wonder if Nintendo would let Sega advertise for NiGHTS via Virtual Console, like Metroid Prime 3 did.

oo' Just being biased I guess, since TRiPPY and DiGi are in Europe. ^^;; I know Sega wouldn't change the release dates just because of that, though.

Prepare to have 1,000,000 Drunken Hoodies brandishing Flick-Knive's arrive "Conviniently" At you're Doorstep.
I'd like Europse to be Getting it first for 2 Reasons really...
1) Since when have we EVER gotten anything First, or, hell, even Second? (Well, except the Craptaculer EA Football game that is cranked out ever Year, but you know...)
2) The game is CLEARLY Set in London, so THERE.
Xay would like to point out that number 2 was a Joke XP

I can't help but wonder what other games from the past Sega will bring back and revitalize. After all, can't JoD just be a single step on the great journey of Sega becoming a good video game company again? With all the games that Sega could bring back, the company could have a pathway to greatness laid out before them.
*Stopping road metaphors now.*

Sonic Rush Adventure...Zero Wing never came to America...There are about 2 or 3 Wii games that are in (and staying only in Europe and Japan...).

Just imagine for a second what its going to be like for those who don't pre-order. It will be living HELL just trying to get through the crowds, let alone secure a copy of any game as hot as this one. If all goes well, the people at Sega won't need presents, because the moolah that JoD brings in will be as good as any gift.Ah, yes...the sooner the better...right...? Heh...probably not.

I would assume, if North America and Japan are getting the first release, that the date would likely be December 13? 'Tis what the Japanese site says. But hey, I could be wrong.
Besides, Canada doesn't always get games the same day as the States. Sometimes it's a day/week later because of shipping issues, sometimes it's earlier, sometimes it's by suppertime on the release day. One never knows! XP I haven't pre-ordered it yet because the very same thing happened with Sonic and the Secret Rings. I'm taking a chance!
And I'm not terribly worried about crowds - not many people know about NiGHTS where I live.. XD;;
