Yeah, it's their memories of the the Nightopia..... but the city pops up waaaaaaaaaay before the final level.

Really? I thought it appeared only when you complete Bellbridge.
Well in that case, I guess the city in My Dream comes directly from memories of the real world... Just like the trees, they aren't from any level in particular...

So, I read that you can actually change the background? Like you can get a forest?

Yes I've read that too, but my city have never changed so I don't know if it's true.

I don't think they're the same. To me, My Dream looks like particular part of Nightopia whose appearance is shaped by memories of the other Nightopias, which are themselves shaped by memories of the real world. Does that make sense?

But then again it's strange that both kids can access the same My Dream. But I guess that's just a gameplay thing that you can disregard.

And I think I may have ansewerd my question: they were "rushed" but thats still no exscuse any more because if Nintendo were to run into that problem they would lay it off for another few months to a year to make sure that pretty much everything had a place and a use. To follow some examples of delayed but great game: Orcarina of Time, Twilight Princess (music wasn`t too great but still a great game) and Smash Brothers Brawl just to name a few. But in my up most honest opinion I think JoD was just a quick cash in to make Sonic Team a quick buck.

SEGA doesn't have the same financial capabilities as Nintendo, you know. Besides, even if JoD had been perfect, I doubt it would have sold nearly as much as a Zelda game or SSBB, so delaying it might have been a bad decision, financially.

Besides, Reala has bat marks on his arms too. I guess Wizeman has a weird sense of aesthetics.

He wears bat tights. DO you think his critical thinking and logic skills are well developed?

I will never understand why everyone says Reala wears tights. His arms and legs are clearly the same color as his face; how do people come to the conclusion that he's wearing anything? Do you think he's wearing tights that have the exact same color as his skin? Or transparent tights? And on his arms as well?

You can change the music? How?

There are 4 different musics for My Dream. But I don't know how they are chosen. Interestingly, each music is split into 4 part on the game disk, so I think the music is dynamic like in NiD's levels.

I DID IT!! I threw a blue chip at NiGHTS and it bounced off his head. He didn' even flinch.

So they did program it! I guess first-level marens are not vulnerable to Blue Chips then. Now I wonder about Owl...

Yes but at the beginning of the story, they didn't know each other and they still could both access My Dream.

If my height-measurement method is correct, Bellbridge's tower is about 320 meters high, which means it's more than 3 times higher than the Big Ben tower. (though that's for the tower in the level; maybe the Real-World-Bellbridge is smaller than the Dream-Bellbridge).

Razer112 really got me thinking, if NiGHTS does to sleep, what happens? I mean, in My Dream sometimes I see some of my pians sleeping, so that means that dream cretures can also sleep

I think it's safe to assume they don't dream.

... or maybe, when the pians and marens fall asleep, their consciousness travels to another dimension called the Night Night Dimension!

Which reminds me, in Delight City Will found Helen lying unconscious... If I recall correctly a similar thing happened with Elliot and Claris at the end of NiD.
Unconscious within a dream!? How is that possible?

You know about that awfully cute NiGHTS PaPETCH figure, right?
Well, while I was trying to find more pictures of it, I found what looked like an official blog, and look what I found:
A Reala PaPETCH figure!

It hasn't actually been produced, or even planned, but IT'S SO CUTE :unsure:

And it's worth noting that (just like the NiGHTS figure) that Reala figure is based on the female model :P

Know what i realized? You never really seem to directly control NiGHTS, whenever you do, he's dualized with one of the kids. 0____o (I need sleep...)

Well, I think that was actually the point of the first game: you're controlling the kids and you're supposed to identify with them. When you're controlling NiGHTS, you're actually controlling the kid dualized with NiGHTS...

But in fact, in JoD, NiGHTS is alone when you fight Reala.


Random thought: just why does Wizeman have a throne in his lair? What can he do with it?

Which is bigger- the tower with Big Ben in it, or the Bellbridge clocktower? Methinks Bellbridge, even though it defies all laws of physics. :P

You know, I think I could find out Bellbridge tower's height from the model...

I've discovered today that there is a NiGHTS Wiki out there. There are plenty of errors and missing stuff though.

My random thought:
How does Reala's persona mask stay on while he's fighing NiGHTS? Did Wizeman superglue it to is face, or something?

Haha, I've been wondering the same thing. Even NiGHTS's Persona has no reason to stick to his face when he's chained in Bellbridge. I guess that's one of the things you're not supposed to question.

The FMV you've seen is actually a much shorter (and very nicely edited) version of the full intro.

Really? They must have done an awesome job with the editing, because it certainly looked like a full video to me.

Broadway guide would be awsome! Every game needs sparkly neon. ;D

Well, there's already Casino Park (from Sonic Heroes) in the game I think.

Hrmmm, considering they're going to release a letter evry day Monday - Friday, It'll take 10 weeks before the clue is complete, and by then we still won't be able to find out what it means.

Actually, they will release 2 letters per day, so it will take "only" 5 weeks before the phrase is complete.

As for NiGHTS, I find it hard to picture what kind of vehicle he could have (if he's not the vehicle himself). I hope it's a flying vehicle, like Tail's plane.

....that doesn't sound good. They've been to many fan forums, have they? Ooooo i dunno, have they been here at all maybe? Had a chat with us, did they? Ask us how we feel about the game they're making?

But that don't really count. This is a NiGHTS forum, of course people are going to want NiGHTS. He said they went to many forums to check the feedback from SST, but here I don't think there was a lot of discussion or feedback about SST's roster, aside from NiGHTS and Reala, but as I said, coming from a NiGHTS forum, that don't count.
And as far as I know, no developers go to other forums to directly ask for people's opinions. At least I've never seen that.
