Dammit I've been worrying about that cage in every video. So now we have 3 mares, not 4, and you can't even keep doing laps. Instead they pad it out with some lame platforming stuff. Ffs.

I have never liked the bird. I hate the fake chasing it is going to create.. the game won't release the key to you until it's good and ready. I also dislike the new camera business, and this cage stuff just tops it off. Why do they do it? New players don't know the difference, so why do they change what the fans want? Alright so we need something different otherwise we'll get bored, fast. I just don't like this bird business. Alternate routes throughout the entire level, that the player could choose and control mare by mare for managing good paths. Perhaps have whole-level access after the 4th Ideya crystal and then break out the serious score attack... or pian access. That sounds nicer to me.

I'm with the general consensus in thinking that Crystal Palace looks great. Nice music too, but too background in my opinion.

Cons:
- Dragon form seems to add no positive to gameplay, apart from making areas accessible
- Music, good or bad, in all levels is far too detached from the game itself
- Significant frame rate dropping in the 2 player mode
- 2 player mode has removed almost everything interactive, except the rings
- NiGHTS's balls have dropped. He says "Watch out" like a male now.
- Kids' animation looks clunky
- Still too much space
- The camera angle only makes it worse
- The pians' voices
- big NiGHTS

Pros:
- Crystal Palace looks fantastic
- And it has the mirrors business
- And nice music (albeit a bit slow)
- Rocket NiGHTS, mini NiGHTS
- Two player mode looks okay

That's all I can think of since I'm about to fall asleep.

The MTV vid is working here in Spain.

The dragon looks good, but a bit plain when moving around in my opinion. With that long body they could have factored some weird control into its flight.. make it wave around more and such. The rocket is satisfying, I guess because I don't expect anything else from it other than blasting along with no animation. Speaking of animation, nah, the dolphin looks very dull. Flapping its tail around just looks.. well, like a purple thing flapping its tail around. Not like a dolphin might move. Ecco on the DC looked a lot better than that.

Good video though.. the levels are looking a lot better, especially the crappy brown one. Bit more happening now, though I'm not saying it still isn't too brown. Kinda bland when the dolphin is swimming around. I remember reading somewhere that this level would transform into some kind of underwater paradise.

Some popup, and really, I can't understand the platformer sections. Just cut them completely from the game please. If there was one things about NiGHTS, it was how pure and tight the gameplay was. Junk didn't get in your way, stupid demands didn't control your game. You fly, you score, you fly faster. Pure is the only word I can think of for that gameplay, and now they're adding some B grade platforming. NiGHTS is the last game that deserves some tacky distraction taking attention from the real game, but here it is, and I don't think anyone here can say "Hey, that platforming looks really fun". It looks like the most standard, underanimated, half-arsed platforming we've seen for a long time. It is half-arsed.. it isn't the part the developers care about. Run along a ledge. Open a box. Throw things.

The autumn palace level (don't know the name) looks great.

Overall, the best video released so far in my opinion. Things are looking better, but it still makes me wish it wasn't a Wii title. The levels still look pretty plain. Compare the background to Christmas NiGHTS for example. Even with no draw distance it felt like it was packed with colour.. this has a lot of green grass and brown rock instead.

Hi, my first post.

Now I'm as serious a NiGHTS fan as the next guy, but honestly, "Fun Park" looks like rubbish and I don't understand why no-one else here has made that call; it just looks horrible. Brown, grey, and literally nothing else to look at. Sometimes the camera swings around and all you can see is brown, empty hillside.. and 2 cactii. There is one ride that has a bit of colour. The geometry is ... come on guys. Some of those branches have like five sides when they're meant to be round. And the textures! Both of them. Grey buildings. Grey airship. Not artfully grey but schoolyard concrete grey.

The water and island levels look good; parts of the windmill area really are pretty. I am still wondering if the game is going to be as frantic as the original because it is still looking a bit spacious for my liking, BUT those 2 levels do look good and the bosses look great. And yes, if they nail the gameplay and music then Fun Park can look as brown as it wants. I am also impressed with Mr. Puffy, as I call him, but not with the Island level's music. Way too simply and dinky in my opinion.

But mainly, that Fun Park level made me feel just like I did yesterday when seeing those screens from "My Dream". It looks that bad, in my opinion, that I can't understand that they are even showing it.
