In Topic: Feeling while dreaming

I often feel things like warmth or pressure on my body, but one of the things which has been extremely prominent is smell. I often sense very strong smells in my dreams often associated with important objects or symbols.

In Topic: Joint Dreams - A test

This has happened to me twice so far with two of my friends.

The first occured nearly a year ago. I dreampt my friend's Dad had shown up at my house an told me to get to their house across town right away because he had planned a surprise party for her and I needed to be there. My Mom said she'd take me there but, when the two of us got out the door, my friend's Dad ran into our house and locked us out. He then proceeded to sell our home. I can't recall what happened next, but when I woke up and told my friend of this the next day she told me she had had a dream that same night in which someone had thrown her a surprise party.

The second occurrence of this was Wenesday night and Thursday morning. I had what seemed like an extremely long dream or series of dreams on Wednesday night. At one point I saw a little girl who had hurt herself somehow and was crying. Somehow she seemed familiar, I felt like I knew her. I approached her and held her, comforting her while help arrived. I didn't think too much about the significance of this dream until I got into a discussion about dreams with one of my friends in my philosophy class. She told me about the dream she had the night before. In the dream she was a little girl. She saw an adult who was oddly familiar and soon realized in the dream that this was an adult version of me. She ran up to the adult me and gave me a long hug. She didn't know why.

These are both very close friends of mine, to the point where we may often finish eachother's sentences. Although these dreams aren't quite the same, they share strikingly similar elements, it fascinates me to think that in the dream state, it is possible for minds to meet and connect.
