Like I said, I do believe in NiGHTS... but you know, I don't take it much farther then a belief someone would have in, say, the Easter Bunny or Santa (saying that they'd think he's real).

Most is it's similar to my belief in Aliens.: I think they exist (since there's been enough proof), but I don't get freakish about it.

I believe he exists because he's had such a huge impact on my life as well, I believe I became a better person ever since NiGHTS came out ( I was pretty evil when I was younger if you want to put it that way) but he has helped guide me in most cases and each aspect of Ideya always seem to have a motivational spark go off in me and helps me get threw certain tasks, thats the spirit of NiGHTS there.

As for existing in bodily form, still a yes, not in Reality of course, but in the dream world. I wish I could say more about this without a giant massacre of flaming but the rest is hardly important enough to mention. But yeah, I have never literally met NiGHTS, in one encounter I thought I did but I'm still a tad skeptical of it, but my boyfriend who does not really like NiGHTS and really only even thinks about it when I'm talking about it had a wicked scary nightmare featuring Reala and he was talking in dreamspeak and such and just vanished. But this can't say that these encounters were actually them in the flesh.

I guess I can't really come up with enough info to back this up cause it can be arguable considering the kind of world we live in and what rules and restrictions its based upon, I guess its just a feeling, or intuition, if theres any advice I would like to give, its keep Believing, and dare to dream. :3

anyhoo, while we are talking about the purple jester we all know and love what do you speculate about fanmarens? (this may be a question for another topic) but I would like to think if NiGHTS is a being that exists in our subconscious coming to life because of our thoughts and dreams, then doesn't that possibly hint to the existence of fanmarens we might one day dream of? Then again if we were to assume this then it would also be fair to speculate whether other "beings" (zombies or giant rat/dragon/moose/cow monsters) exist as well :/ although subconsciously... Hmm, perhaps it wouldn't be fair to simply judge dreams as a subconscious space, but as a whole other realm... Oi, this is gonna require some mulling over in the old noggin... But as Ms. DiENE said (and I shall quote again because its such wonderful advice)

"Fanmarens" were one of the topics I was tempted to mention myself but didn't lol, some argue they exist and truly believe so (know so), and others are unfortunate and think if they say they have Maren as muses they will get TRiPPYS approval or feel accepted to the community or some weird things like that. And of course, some people think they are just as fictional as the video games themselves.

I for one am a believer and my beliefs are actually based on similar grounds you mentioned about, anything we can imagine can exist (I always use that show Chalk Zone as an example) and they type of universe our collective subconscious (lol) live in look similar t the separated worlds as in Kingdom Hearts in my opinion, because that would be one messed up world if it all existed on one. I mean can you see Fushigi Yugi fused into Gundam or something? Nuuuuuuu X_X

...lucky...But YEAH! NiGHTS TOTALLY EXISTS! A couple months ago, I had this dream that I was trapped at my friends house and just when we were about to leave in a hot air balloon(no idea where that came from) a killer started strangling me and I saw someone come out of the toilet and I think it was NiGHTS. A couple seconds earlier would've been nice because at the precise moment, I woke up...

No idea where the toilet part came from either...Now I think I keep seeing him outside my dreams...I think he's gonna splat outside my window...SPLAT...no, that was my dog...wait...I DON'T HAVE A DOG!

Nights must be as real as people see him/her. if you don.t believe it cant exist right? i see NiGHTS in my dreams all the time and even in some thoughts throughout the day.

I've got a bit of a curious thing going, where characters I'm really familiar with (eg NiGHTS, Link, Atrus, etc.) represent things in my mind almost exclusively. So yes, I do believe NiGHTS exists, though whether as an idea(l) or a person I'm not sure.

I clicked on the, 'I'm not Sure," box myself. Even though I'm on the line about the situation, I am hoping that NiGHTS, the other Nightmarens and Nightopians don't exist. I am not doubting them just because of my hopes though. I love the video games, don't get me wrong, but it would feel a bit weird if a video game was real. Indeed, it would be very cool, but weird.

After looking through everyone's opinions of yea, nay, and maybe, I figured I might as well put down my two cents/pence/whatever currency you guys use wherever you guys are.

NiGHTS - as a matter of fact, he and everything about Nightopia/Nightmare from the Pians to Wizeman to the two realms themselves - I find real. Not necessarily 'real' as in physical and tangible, but 'real' as in 'existent', even if only in the imaginations of myself and others. I, myself, have only seen him in a dream once - only once - but once was enough. I've seen Reala twice, so I'm convinced either way.

That, however, does not necessarily mean that he is 'real' to everyone. Of course he, Nightopians, Nightmaren, and Wizeman can't manifest in Reality, as they are all aspects of a dream, an idea shaped into a personification of whatever a person sees them as. NiGHTS can be many things - a guide, a friend, perhaps even a reflection of one's inner self. It is simply a matter of how a person envisions him, and before that, if they believe in him. Reality and dreams are like two mirrors facing each other - they influence each other in small, subtle ways, but generally on more personal levels. My personal example is what could probably be considered an attack by Nightmare - a dream that brought to my attention my fear of loneliness and being abandoned by those I care for, my friends and family.

To me, NiGHTS and the entire Night Dimension exists. To others, he may not. It all comes down to one's beliefs and perception of the world around them, both conscious and not. Just because he doesn't exist in reality or others don't think he exists doesn't mean we can't dream, now, can it? *brick'd for horrible pun*
