This thing is taking forevah to load. I can tell that the ground portions are very fluid from what I've seen. Better than the origional, I'd say. Can it be possible????¿¿¿¿

I love the tunnel filled with roses, and bouncing off the strings.
The normal Pian eggs seem to be a different color.
Shleep seem to slow you down this time which is pretty cool.
I like how the level turns red right before you are about to go to Nightmare. The pulsing makes me think the whole scenery changes right there and becomes Nightmare. I wonder...
Wow, I can't wait to see more! I am so excited.

Great stuff in there. A-Life is back, and so are the Nightopeans, so huzzah for that. Plus, I couldn't have hoped for a better remake of Spring Valley ever. And finally, all the stuff in it, like the Ideya Capture (if it is still called that), the bird with the key, and the underwater dealio all were awesome. It was pretty annoying though how everyone kept sticking their stupid heads in the way of the camara.
Oh, and I agree with you guys, are the controls really that hard?

Of course, these complaints have nothing to do with the game itself, which I thought looked great. I'm glad that there are more rings, chips, etc. to pick up and combo, and it's great to see the trick ribbon come back. I didn't see any of the jagged visuals or framerate drops I've heard so much about (but then, the video was OFF THE SCREEN ).
My biggest question is, what's up with the Ideya Shrines or whatever they are? Why is NiGHTS hanging out in them, why is the player trying to blow them up and why do the kids have to climb up there instead of just jumping in, like the previous game?
All in all, I'd say the game looks great. Can't wait to get my hands on the final version and show that numbskull player how it's done.

Though it's true, the heads in the way are kind of annoying. ^^; I went to IGN and checked their article, hoping for a head-free version... no dice, but I did find something else!
In another boss battle, it's a chameleon lizard magician that hides in a cloud of purple mist - the idea is to make large loops to remove the mist in chunks and reveal where he's hiding.
That wouldn't be the pseudo-Gulpo we saw, would it? O_o

The gameplay looks really good but the fact that there's a timer...that's gonna stress me out cause when there are timer sections in games, i always get stressed out and will bite anyone's head off if they ask me something...

Me: "LEAVE ME ALONE YOU BALD-EYE-BROWED MAN!" (i can't be mean to people XD; )
But then again...this is NiGHTS so it would be NiGHTS without the timer. I shall survive.

I dunno. They have to reveal the more specific mechanics still, but the gameplay is so fluid (even if the guy is sorta bad, haha). SO HAPPY NiGHTS IS BACK YAYZ.

This along with the music pack Sega uploaded to their FTP (with the theme, what sounds like a slightly revamped Dreams Dreams and a bell ringing), we're getting stuff now. I'm not too happy there are only 3 mares now though.
Persona being used in the second video though, hmm the other people could go underwater without it, so the fish one at least looks like an unappealing visual change. Oh well, at least I was right about how you fight the catfish.

I also hope the dude was being n00b, rather than having a tough time controlling the game.
Those yellow trails from NiGHTS's hands though.. it seems to last too short to be a trick ribbon, seems like maybe a speed boost?
Hm.. Dolphin persona.. the new fish Nightmaren looks awesome. This is how the Gulpo fight would logically expand; instead of just being in a chamber, he's actively on your tail, as it were. Environment looks great. Gotta listen closely here..

...... raaaaaaa O_O Oi, i just seen a dolphin NiGHTS! XD That is bad ass. Though, i don't know what is more irritating. The idioto's who stand and walk right infront of the screen or the fact that this twit has no concept on how to 'fly through the hoop'. ¬_¬
STILL, all that being said, the game is now looking like a proper NiGHTS game. Before the levels seemed empty but now they've got a whole lot more going on in them and i'm very happy with the way things are shaping up. Though, the fact that we're only still seeing the first 3 levels is a bit worrying still....buuut i'm gonna remain optimistic.
Now, on another serious note....i would like to know how i can go about purchasing that statue. And i'm being serious about it, too. Someone point me in the right direction and i'ma start writing out some emails to some heads at Sega to buy that thing once the show is over. It makes you wonder what they do with all the old statues from previous shows, actually. Still, i want that NiGHTS one and i don't care if i'm going broke, i wanna buy it.

Also....
I don't think that's the rocket somehow. The rocket mask enables NiGHTS to fly faster than usual. This seems to be just a rail cart section.
...and MY GOD that is the most annoying video i have ever had to watch. Would someone tell the large amount of Japanese people to please move their bloody heads out of the way, damn it!! >.<

I'd settle for a cardboard standup if they come out with one...a friend of mine at GameStop says they've got a bunch of Wii promo stuff like that coming in for the holidays *fingers crossed*
As for the videos, I'm happy to see just how nicely this is coming along...but there's a pretty big lingering question in the back of my mind: What's Sega going to try and lock the framerate at? These videos would suggest 30 FPS but almost all personal camcorders can't do anything higher...does anyone know?
Given all the stuff going on on-screen I'd guess 30, but then again Metroid Prime 3 looked amazing and held 60 start to finish
