I respect your opinion, Ekairi. :) But I disagree substantially.

I think that it's more accurate to say that knowledge and skill are learned by studying and hard work, since these attributes are hardly inborn but must be accquired and trained.

At the risk of oversimplifying, intelligence would be more like a clock speed measurement of the brain, specifically, of the brain's ability to learn and process information. Take two children in a classroom. One of them might learn and solve problems quickly, the other might need to take a little more time. While both are studying toward the same knowledge and skill, intelligence is responsible for the ability to do mental work quicker and more efficiently. Researchers speak of "multiple intelligences", or different measurements of intelligence for different cognitive functions, and this is probably accurate. Overall intelligence is believed to remain fairly constant throughout one's life, although I personally believe that intelligence can be voluntarily increased, albiet only with very hard work, and only marginally.

I've always view wisdom as knowledge and intelligence applied towards practical value and towards the greater good. The difference isn't particularly clear, because, for example, a person who does something wise is often (perhaps incorrectly) said to be acting "intelligently". But there are plenty of examples of intelligent persons committing foolishness, which is the opposite of wisdom. For example, a person might have knowledge of what could happen if the bills are not paid, and with intelligence may even be able to reckon how difficult life would become under those circumstances. Yet if this knowledgable, intelligent person decides to stay at home playing NiGHTS into Dreams all day, he's acting very foolishly. This is still an intelligent person, but one who is making stupid choices, and is certainly not wise.

Perhaps a better example: emotional intelligence is the ability to infer another's thoughts and feelings in interpersonal situations, much as rational intelligence applies to learning and problem solving (and I must admit to not being very emotionally intelligent). Someone who uses emotional intelligence (along with knowledge) to help another person and save a friendship is acting with wisdom.

This is why I believe that wisdom synergizes knowledge and intelligence, and is also a step above either of the other two.

It's a neat quiz, and I like the discussion it produces. :)

Indeed. One cannot go to school to study wisdom (so-called "wisdom literature" is NOT the same thing), and life lessons are both the primary and most effective means of aquiring it.

hmmm.....

My intelligence tells me that you were expecting blue. :D

Try my other color quiz.
(In my sig)

Jonathan is red, Deep Loner is green. Interesting...

By the way, did you want us to try to crack the name color quiz? It's probably not that difficult... B)

The idea you have about intelligence and wisdom does appear to be the same way I view it.
(Just a long winded example that I wouldn't be able to explain myself. @_@)
My statement above was meant to be taken figuratively.
(Everyone has both Wisdom and Intelligence in that sense. I might of just used the incorrect words...)

You can crack the name color quiz if you want. XD
It shouldn't be hard at all.
(Challenge: Try to do it without doing the quiz too many times. Max times to do it would be 3 times... and mind you that is generous.)

EDiT:
If someone does my rainbow quiz and if they love their result contact me through pm and I can tell you how to put the color bar in the sig.

The way the quiz is set up:
You set up a few results.
Ask a question.
Set up answers and assign them with what results it would be.
The more corresponding same results the more likely your going to get that result.
If you get all different results you automatically get the first result no matter what.
(Which technically incorrect so you have to make more questions for it to be more of a chance of being correct.)

Some of them if you just change one answer it will change however, if you already have many answers that corresponds to one of the results it will stay the same.

The most effort that I put into it is thinking of questions, answers, and how to arrange them.

I'm open to more question ideas if you guys (everyone) have any though.

I admit, I was hoping for Blue (not because I think I'm super-smart or anything, 'cause I don't... I just... like blue) and I got White. Which was a surprise; I don't consider myself very "pure" most of the time. Your description was right-on, though. So maybe I am...? I think everyone has at least some aspects of every Ideya, though. ^_^

Thank you for making this quiz, Ekairi. So far I've taken this quiz three different times... and here's what I have gotten as a result:

1st White ^_^
2nd Red double ^_^
3rd Blue *still blinking at the last two*

But, what can I say... it is possible that these are my more dominant Ideya. As I believe with everyone else who got results that made them ^_^ , while one may not see how they relate to that specific Ideya, there is still a chance that the attribute is probably practiced unconsciously.

Hmm, interesting! The first time I took the Ideya Quiz, I got yellow.

I took it today a second time and got Green. Which is rather fitting in a way. The description is DEAD ON, if that tells ya anything. O_O()

Took the name quiz also today and got Green.

Seems I chose my screen name well. ^^

Wow. I'm in the smallest minority ever.

I got the Green Ideya of Growth the first time I took the quiz, when I answered the questions honestly. I'll be honest, I took the quiz a few other times to see if I could grab the other four Ideya as well. That's how they got in my signature and avatar. :(

It's not easy, bein' Green.

This is a charming quiz you set up Ekairi, and seems to be fairly accurate where it can be ;)

First time I took it, I got the Green, which is the one I've always seen myself as having.
Took it just now, apparently I'm White instead.

Fair's fair, but I think Green is the more appropriate one for me XD

It seems to me that every time you take the quiz, as long as you answer honestly, you have whatever Ideya you end up with in addition to all the different Ideya you had when you took the quiz previously, as long as you answered honestly then as well.

Wisdom is one's knowledge, that they obtain, not by study, but by exp. over lifetime. ppl who share wisdom help others in times of need. Ppl with good wisdom solve these problems, ppl with great wisdom help those ppl solve it for themselves.

btw I got green ideya on my first go...
I guess my friends were right

Have a nice day :(
