The pictures seem very nice indeed. I like how they show the mare route at the bottom right. And the bloom is used right for once. :o

New Gulpo music is omgawesome. The Alps Chase looks wonderful and the desert dream doesn't have half bad music from what you can hear (the sound is obscured to much in the video sadly).

Wow...the Spring Valley looking level (I think that is the Alps thing right?) looks really detaild! My god it puts the graphics of the water level to almost to shame. Looks like Sega has a long way to go on the other levels I guess.

I love that owl. He's cute. I love those glasses too. I actually have a pair of those.

The gameplay footage is beautiful, especially the Alps level. I'm falling in love with this game more and more. The part with the balloon strings seemed weird though.

Also, I think you've hit the nail on the head with the Reala owl thing. It's a shame they haven't used this plot device to the same effect they did in LocoRoco,

A-life= I don't even need to play the origional to know this is awesome. Now, if they can bring back chaos in the next Sonic (maybe Sonic RPG if I'm lucky) I'll be set.
2p mode- um, I think an online leaderboard would be more appropriate. Problem: Many people playing this game will have played the origional extensively, the closest I've gotten to that is watching Youtube vids extensively after I learned what NiGHTS was. They'll fly circles around me, LITERALLY. DX
Nevertheless, I think its about time I put some friend codes in my siggy.

Ah. Yes, that would make a lot more sense. Still, it didn't seem entirely fluid and well concieved, but that migth have been due to the shitty recording.

Oh. And the SEGA FTP has uploaded two new videos. One clocking in at 264Mb and the other at 145Mb. I've got both on the download, but it'll take a while. It doesn't help that I'm watching/loading Black Books online at the same time too : P. But I'm expected SUPER HIGH QUALITY.

I have no idea what the vids are. The smaller might simply be a smaller version of the other.

â– The beginnings of his nightmare...

In the city of Bellbridge, a town with a giant clock tower, lives 12-year-old Will, a boy who loves soccer. Ever since he was little, Will has played and practiced soccer with his beloved father, and has even managed to become the star player on the local soccer team. He also does well in school, and served as a great role model, but it was perhaps because of his talent that he began to grow more distant from his fellow teammates.

Even still, Will at least had his father, whom he loved, trusted and admired. Every day after work, Will’s father would come home and practice soccer with his son, and the two grew quite close indeed.

One day, however, Will’s father was suddenly transferred, leaving his son behind. Outside of school, Will and his father had gone everywhere and done everything together, and now, without his father, Will was plunged into an unbearable loneliness. Night after night, he started to have terrifying nightmares. One night, however, a warm light appeared in his dreams, banishing his nightmare—this was the light of Nightopia, which beckoned Will to follow it, where he then had his first encounter with the mysterious being called NiGHTS...

12-year-old Helen lives in a quiet, upper-class neighborhood in the great city of Bellbridge. Helen and her mother were always very close, spending their days together, going shopping, studying, picking out clothes, and other such things. Most importantly, Helen learned to play the violin from her mother, starting from a very young age, and she loved it so. After school, the two of them would play together out on the terrace behind their home. Helen’s dream was that, one day, she would play the violin in concert on stage.

However, as young Helen grew up and started to go from being a little girl to a young woman, her relationship with her mother began to change. She was well-mannered, kind, and popular in school. She had many friends in school, and her social life soon began to take away from her time with her mother—and from the time she spent with that old-fashioned violin, her dream to one day play on stage gradually becoming forgotten. Her feelings for her mother were kept deep inside, though, and so subconsciously, she began to feel a deep sense of guilt over the distance that had grown between them, and this guilt manifested itself in the form of recurring nightmares. One night, though, while fleeing from these dark visions in her head, she ended up in a strange new world, where she encountered a mysterious dream-dweller named NiGHTS.


These two young people meet with NiGHTS in the dream world of Nightopia, and find the courage to fight off their nightmares.

What sort of adventures will they have in this dream world, and will they be able to keep their idyllic Nightopia from being overrun by the sinister Nightmare? More information to come!

That's actually been up there since before the 5th of August, as I commented on it here.
SEGA's FTP updates itself reguarly, and it must re-upload the files or something, cause the date of modification is always updated on each file.

But since no-one posted that on the forums, I'll leave the info up there. Cheers Louis.

Got both the files downloaded. The smalle was the old cheesey trailer, the larger the newer one, and just barely any higher resolution or quality.

However both files corrupt mid-play for me. No loss I suppose, they were nothing new.

And it visited to the world of dream, it is many people to take five [idea] which are knight Pia's source, to be dyed the world of dream to” nightmare”

Those Nightmarens are out to steal yer Ideya again, it would seem.

You take [idea], you wander about the respective” dream” which is turned off and two people whom you walk, encounter strange resident [naitsu] and senior [ouru] which whirl the sky.

Also also. Gamestop put of a preview of there viewing of the game at Leipzig a little while ago, similar to Niravens. It sheds some more light on the gameplay side of things. I don't know if anyone posted this or not.

Once he chose the boy, the game switched to a cutscene of the lad playing soccer with his dad, and busting all manner of fancy moves. Then, the scene turned grey, Dad got into a car, and our hero was left alone and scared, crying in the center of an entire, evil soccer team with red, glowing eyes.

Upon entering the world of Nightopia, you're still in your normal, human form, and you're faced with a hub full of dream doors. Our presenter entered one, and found himself in a verdant green zone full of bright rings, hills, waterfalls, and a huge, golden orb floating on a chain like a metal balloon. He climbed the chain, entered the orb, and--TA-DA--, turned into the flamboyant harlequin that NiGHTS fans know and love

In his pursuit of the bird, our presenter darted through rings and hit speed boosts to bring himself into range, then leapt on the beast's back and stole its keys. From there, he had to fly to the end of the racecourse and deposit his plunder for a grade.

But that was not the end of the birds or their keys, because another appeared and had to be caught along a slightly different course that led through crystal-cave waterfalls and rosebushes. Once our presenter caught up to that bird, he had to catch another, at which point he had enough keys to beat the current stage and unlock the next.

Um, two things I've noticed.
NiGHTS is free to move outside of the ideaya palace, so what connection does he have with the cage? Also, why does he choose to morph with the dreamers if he is shown to freely fly in some of these images?
Um, the bird mission seems pretty easy, so why does it get a boss stage? Does every mission for each world have a boss like Sonic 3?

Couldn't they be the blue chips? Though, EZEKiAL's theory about them having a connection with the personas is interesting... maybe they work as a "fuel" of sorts?
